I'm sorry, I'm trying to remain positive but after seeing this card I'm going to say that so far this new hogger is complete garbage. It should've been 6 mana at least and even then it would still be awful given the meta at the moment. Maybe it will work well with the other new cards in the set but I don't like this at all. Hopefully they will show us some decent cards soon or otherwise this will kill off any hype anyone had for this expansion.
What I like about this card is that it's not Dr.7. He's almost always going to generate at least one 2/2 unless he's hit by removal, so essentially he's 8/8 for 7 with potential for more. It's decent, and I prefer decent over overpowered
The cards seems ok. Nothing to be super hyped about it buts i can see it being played in Warrior and Mage control decks. I think and hope that blizzard won't release a "new Dr. Boom" that means a legendary that is good just about in every deck, because that's not the point of a card game where you wanna have different syner, combinations and playstyle then other decks. Grim patron is a great example for this.
So you guys should hold back with your overall negative critics about this expansion and wait for more cards to be released.
The card is average. I think it is still one of the most playable cards shown soo far, i cant say i love it, but i certainly will have fun trying to put it in a deck XD
I'm a bit sad. I was hoping they'd finally make a viable Hogger card and I was excited for it.
Now this is actually a worse Obsidian Destroyer - both statwise (assuming BGH gets a nerf) and effectwise. It has no immediate board impact when it's played and it has 2 less stat points for the same cost.
Boring
Looking at the cards stats 7 mana 6 / 6 with a crazy persistent effect it feels like they are not going to do anything about BGH, BGH a side
i can see a few classes that can activate this pretty consistent
warrior: Inner Rage, Whirlwind, Revenge, Slam, Cruel Taskmaster
Shaman: has some nice ways to activate and get a lot out of the card, Ancestral Spirit, Windfury, Windspeaker, Reincarnate, Ancestral Healing
Priest: Holy Smite, but the main thing is just healing it and making sure it survives. But hard removal is a pain
As for the other classes they have some tools but i think shaman and warrior have the best atleast to spawn a lot of taunt gnolls.
These kinds of minions that have effects while being damaged should have higher health than attack stat, a 5/7 or 4/8 would be better.

seems kinda dumb to me tbh.
control warrior deck could be really useful for close to fatigue or on an empty board with triggers. excited to try it
Dunno, I realy liked Garr so it's nice to see something that looks like him.
Sadly, it looks a bit weak, sure we loose Dr.7 in Standard so maybe he could see use in some decks but I have my doubts. Ah, time will tell.
only for arena =\
So still nothing original yet, eh? That's okay I'll wait.
If you got the coin, the Mercenaries get going. Vote for The Mercenary for CCC #3.

Thanks for making the thread Pacifistia! <3
So bad, but ironically this is the perfect counter to C'Thun. You definitively don't want to play C'Thun when he's on board.

It looks decent, balanced. I don't think it will be worth much to combo with this card though, the 2/2 Taunts will just die to AoE anyway...
...unless you Bolster!

Blizzard knows how to raise hype in their players, showing awesome new cards with completely new mechanics.
Kappa.
It's a decent card I would say.
Let's just see how contested the 7 spot will be w/o Dr7. Trogg would have played a much bigger role as well if it weren't for him.
