Is it just me, or are the Tavern Brawls getting worse each week? They aren't even fun anymore, especially this week's. You pretty much use a ladder deck and it puts a tiny, little twist on the gameplay, just enough to piss you off and make things annoying.
I miss the Tavern Brawls where you were Nefarian, or when you had a deck full of unstable portals, etc.
I keep getting my hopes up that they'll add a better tavern brawl, but they keep shoveling this shit down our throats. I understand they are trying new things, but I don't see how netdecking a ladder deck and adding a "fate" is fun.
Well, ladder decks with 10 more portals or coins for everyone or random 0 cost cards *got TWICE Dr.6 to cost 0*. I prefer pre-made decks...because I like arena.
Yes, these constructed deck brawls are such a chore to get through, because what's the point of the brawl mechanic? Everyone just makes their dumbass ladder deck and you just play against Secretdin and face hunter in a different format.

It was ok this week, but I also typically don't care for brawls where you can take a constructed deck card for card. It's pretty much been Tempo Mage vs. Secret Paladin vs. Control Warrior. The 1/1/1 brawl was great since you had to put together something wacky and typical constructed decks would get destroyed by turn 3. And the variety between deck building and pre-constructed is nice; five of the past six have required constructing a deck.

I've met one Tempo Mage, zero Secretdins, zero Control Warriors. I've met Combo Druid (he lost because we both choose armor), Mill Rogue (was surprisingly good thanks to coin + banana. I could have won but I didn't get the charge + taunt that I needed. FML), several Zoolocks (average), Face Hunter (ineffective) ... And yes, you can absolutely build for this brawl.
I have the feeling most people in this thread could have enjoyed this brawl if they had just taken the 10 minutes to really understand it and build an effective deck for it, instead of going directly to Hearthpwn to complain.
But then, the HS community is just full of whiny crybabies. Except Control Warrior players, for some reason, they're the type who call everyone "bro". And Face Hunter players, I guess they're just so used to everyone blaming them for losing with their noob decks that they just don't give a shit anymore.
Yeah it seems like lately, these deck building brawls all revolve around "what can we exploit the hell out of this week?" I miss the silly/fun brawls. I'd take randomness over last week's Molten Giant abuse (which I avoided). As things are now, I'm slowly moving away from participating in Tavern Brawls aside from getting the free pack.

Not lately, always, it always degenerates in a mock of ranked ladder only that worse because brawl mechanic allow 1 to 2 decks to be so OP that not even rogue decks can compete, at least in ladder you can still have a lot of success with all of the T2 decks, and reasonable performance with the T3 ones as demonstrated by people reaching legend with hybrid camel hunter. in constructed brawl it's T0 or bust.

Try again, Blizzard.

I hate constructed Brawls, so I agree that the recent trend is not a good one.

I don't agree that a pre made deck is in any way similar to arena, the deckbuilding element of arena is just as important as the games.
The brawl with the discover a card every turn, or you add new cards to an reshuffle your deck ones have some commonalities with arena games though.

This week is awesome, not sure what the hate is all about.

I like them as construction challenges, fooling around with millrogue on this one. Make something stupid, it's not like you're punished for losing.
((Though yeah, thanks Blizz for making flamewaker hilariously broken yet again...)
f up brawl again.
