The dust has settled after the recent set of nerfs. Midrange shaman is still powerful on ladder, and there are even some innovative control shaman lists surfacing. Warrior has become less prevalent, but is still strong. Overall the meta seems a lot more diverse than it has been in the recent past with mages, zoolocks, druids, secret hunters and even some rogue variants mixing things up a little. Unfortunately, paladins and priest continue to be the current misfit classes. These classes are likely the two least-viable, but they are still quite fun.
What decks have you found are the most/least effective after the nerfs? What will be your go-to deck in the race for legend this season? With blizzcon approaching quickly (Nov. 4th & 5th), we are not far from the reveal of the next expansion set. Enjoy this meta (if possible) while it lasts!
Discuss your strategies and experiences for this ladder seasons here!
Hit legend for the first time last month and I plan to again this month! I was using beast druid, so I think its time to change over and play some control warrior/secret hunters.
Anyfin paladin is really good. alot of secret hunters,zoo/discard locks and shamans. you can deal with them with anyfin paladin. Control match-ups are oke 2. tech in 2 forbidden healings for the more aggro side of things
I've played Maly rogue the last two seasons. I've been having a really good win rate against shamans, but I'm struggling against Hunters. I'm only missing 40 wins until golden Valeera. Gonna get her before I'm changing to something else.

Everything that isn't about elephants is irrelephant.
4 decks: Dragon Priest, Nzoth Priest, Patron Warrior and Control Dragon Warrior. All these decks are Tier 1-2 so if I will have enough time I will hit he legend
I think that control Shaman lists, including the one I ran recently, are strong in this meta. They have strong matchups against freeze mage, midrange shaman, secret hunter, and anyfin. Control warrior is a bad matchup, but with experience and tech choices can be manageable.
I recommend my list from S28 with Harrison Jones replacing Yogg.

Anyfin paladin isn't good against shaman. Yes, you can deal with their board, but if they hex your warleaders you're done for, unless you run a n'zoth variant.
Okay guys any pros and cons on these decks in current meta for climbing? Last month I peaked at rank1 5 stars, i played shammy but I was too salty :D So shammy with/without barnes+ragna, secret hunter mid/aggro version, control/cthun warrior, even tempo mage is quite often played now. Which do you recommend for quick climb?
I usually mess around with fun decks for the start of a season and then get a quick rank 5 with something aggro towards the end and never attempt legend. Last season I couldn't believe how fast I climbed with pirate warrior that I might just go at it with this deck starting today and see how far I get. I noticed that pirate warrior doesn't even get mentioned on tempo storms meta snap shot... how can that be? The deck is very powerful and has a decent presence on ladder. It is currently the go to deck for anyone looking for turn 6 lethal. I just don't know how it holds up above rank 5.

Good luck to all!
I'm going half-cancer and going to grind it with Dragon Shaman

Gonna play brainless shaman decks until rank 5, then pick something fun to climb to legend.
Shamans are by far the easiest class ever, I just can`t lose, even if I`m drunk lol.
Yesterday i faced 4 Mid Shamam and won 3... Very happy to make shamam players lost 15-25mim with my WC in the last day of the season...
I will be playing my Mill Rogue until rank 5. If I see alot of people Shammaning to legend I will Freeze mage them away.
In the last season I ranked up to 8 from 14 using the beast Druid in the last two days. I'll use it in this season, too.

Moving into https://outof.cards/members/firepaladinhs/decks
I'm a glutton for punishment. Not so much that I will play priest but enough that I will play N'Zoth Paladin:
I think this season it is tempo mage for me! Should e my next gold hero.
#Discolock ALL THE WAY! Gonna throw in some #RessurectPriest too :D
I'm back boys

Phoenix Shaman deck + guide:
My goal is rank 10 with Handlock
Im going to play my aggro dragon list for warrior

So many great decks to climb with currently .... going with Shammy to finish the golden frame then to Mage... GL ALL BOL!
I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.
Be water, my friend.
