...of ranks 16, 11 and 5 are definitely the most excruciating.
Having the bonus stars is great, but you know that if you are 1 win from the next ledge and you lose, suddenly you are now likely to be about 3 wins away (instead of 2). Heh!
Obviously, this isn't a complaint or rant etc - I'm happy enough to have gotten over the hurdle last night - just reminiscing on how frustrating each of those edge-of-victory areas can be.
Do any of you find it similarly infuriating at times (yet ultimately satisfying when you finally reach that safe-haven)?
I feel that way about every rank when you are 4/5 stars and on a win streak. I feel like they pick some final boss guy who has won 10 games in a row to put you up against and gives him the perfect draw while hiding your good cards in the bottom 10 (I know this doesn't actually happen, but it does feel like it a lot).
I can relate. I once was at rank 11 with 2 stars and on a streak, so only one win away from rank 10 which I never achieved before. I lost, then had a loss streak and still never managed to rank up to 10 :(
Always frustrating when that happens (won't even get into the 5 to Legend grind >.<).
I find the best way to deal with the frustration is load up my Razandiun priest and play Raza on 5 and Anduin on 8 while drinking some scotch. If enough is consumed you will think you played Raza on 5 and Anduin on 8 when you are in fact drunk and just healing your opponent, as they are the last cards in your deck. Regardless, bye bye frustration!
Disclaimer: Might not work if you are a mean drunk!
