After reaching lvl 60 with my hunter I started testing out my other decks and have been doing the best with my giant lock deck. Stuck at rank 5-6 atm though; I can consistently beat everything but hunter and the only times I can beat hunter is if I open all my taunt givers and the watchers.
I dunno though, about Malygos - Sure, it's another win condition, but it seems to me to be a *much of a muchness* sort of thing, I don't think it's really needed. From my perspective of coming up against Giants Warlock rather often, I'd say a silence would be important, even 2 shadowflames. I'm not even sure if Ragnaros is all that special in the deck, especially if there is no way to clear out sissy little opposition minions late game whilst you have low health.
That said, *meh*, if it works go with it. =P
P.S. Aardvark meant Mortal Coil for 6 damage I assume.
I dunno if Malygos is really worth it - what are the chances you have anything beyond soulfire left? ... I suppose 18 damage for 0 mana is nice if one of them don't get discarded though.
i find very interesting that you don't run any type of silence in this deck specially when you can cast them on your Ancient Watchers, i feel that your build is very slow paced ( even more than normal for a deck this type). Anyways i will still give it a try specially because you added a Malygos.
Thanks for the Shadowflame information Moyetitan. Just curious because i see more and more decks that use two of them...
That is something that you have to decide yourself based on the meta. Shadowflame is a really good card but if you are going to use two hellfire's and TWO shadow flames... thats too much aoe dmg imo, find a balance that fits the current meta. right now i am trying to figure out how to beat those damned hunters, Yesterday i played 20 games and most of my opponents where hunters. I think i will have to change my hero and/or deck in order to climb up the ladder.
@Sutty101: I *did* mean Mortal Coil for 6 with Malygos, my bad.
Also, I think you kinda do need another win condition in modern Handlock besides "durr" slow giants. They're SO SLOW! Like, the whole meta has shifted to more and more instant-response / burst damage, and giants are like "oo teh pretteh flowerz". They stand around and get whacked by Hunter's Mark or what have you; there's just loads of removal in meta. It's like you really need six giants or something to come out in midgame to press that advantage, or you need some sort of late game push other than Alexstrasza (which you usually don't have a followup for instant death for, next turn), or Jaraxxus (which just punches for 3, no crystal left for board control). Like, you really need Malygos and Ysera, or something nasty.

If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
Do you just not have Lord Jaraxxus, or do you not think it works in your deck? I'm interested on why you chose not to have such an amazing late game card.
Dollars to donuts it's an alternate Warlock Giant build.

My giants deck uses both Alexstrasza and LJ, In theory LJ isn't that good, but once I have played a few matches using it, I realized how great it is.
If you are ahead when you play it, you are basically guaranteed to win, and if you are behind, then you are bought a couple of extra turns to try and pick yourself up. imo it's like a second Alexstrasza.
this deck already has more than enough finishing potential. the majority of the games i loose is because I get rushed down to quickly not because i didnt have enough damage on the board to kill of my opponent. just some finishing examples here:
turn 8/9 alexstrasza, next turn soulfire/leeroy for 12-14 damage (or even more when you happen to have 2x soulfire, some hellfire or defender of argus
leeroy + faceless manipulator for 12 damage
all that without even having any giants on the field. i can see how power overwhelming could also be used as "removal" but this deck certainly does not lack removal, so right now i dont have any use for power overwhelming.
leeroy+power+faceless = 20dmg turn 10. You can juggle between 1 soulfire and power overwhelming.

Shadow Bolt isn't worth it in my opinion.
-2 Shadow Bolt + 1 Power Overwhelming +1 Bloodmage Thalnos.
Leeroy + Power overwhelming + Faceless makes me giggle.
a power overwhelming would be a great addition. such a nasty finisher when they cant handle giants.
I've been having more luck playing HandPriest than HandWarlock lately.
It's not hard to switch!
Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.

faceless on a leeroy seems kinda overkill.
