Uh, I dunno bud, the single card-draw option looks a bit lacking.

posted a message on Card Duels 101: Molten Giant vs Sea Giant

Molten Giant has always been a broken sort of constructed card in my opinion. An 8-8 for possibly 0 mana with no board presence is always going to leave possibilities for ungainly combo-wombo decks as more cards are introduced into Hearthstone. It limits the possibility for Blizzard introducing charge-giving cards and minions, and for ice-block style life savers on low health. I think it's just a silly card and should have been changed back in December 2013 (or whenever) back when there was the one-turn kill style Warrior decks around.

Sea Giant is a pretty solid card, great arena card as they are slower games normally demanding board control and cards on board. Not a bad constructed card either, depending on the meta.

    In Constructed - Molten Giant
Arena - Sea Giant (As low combo-wombo chance)

posted a message on No Turn 3 play, do you drop SI:7 without the combo?

Well, the trick is to try and not put yourself in this situation - But as shit happens, on turn 3, generally I would not play unless I feel that it is necessary that I make an action before I am overwhelmed. Just a personal preference.

    For priest:

    Enraged Cleric

    4 mana, 3 attack, 1 health
Charge. Deathrattle: heal all other friendly minions to full health.

    Interesting idea.

But basically, as long as it isn't a card that tries to synergise with Shadowform, and that has some use as an early card drop, I'll be happy.

posted a message on Feeling stuck... any suggestions

To the topic starter: I recommend taking your time, watching the youtubers/streamers that are around (I'm personally a fan of Kripparrian, but others like Trump and Massan, Reynad are often watched). This game takes time to learn, be patient, and have fun - Do not worry about losing to start off with, it's happened to the best of players. Basically, paying money on cards won't solve the issue of a person being inexperienced or new to the game - Your arena results show this to be the case.

Search the web for TrumpSC guides on Arena cards, or MaSsanSC's guide to mid-range arena. Basically, remember that only through failure will you learn.

if they're nerfing anything, it should be Preparation, not Gadgetzan

This is what I agree with 100% - It's a card that only causes problems for the meta-game.

The Brewmaster cards (Aka Big Panda and Little Panda) - I think they're actually great card options in the right deck.

posted a message on Honestly, Priests are unreal.

To the topic starter: In higher levels play, priests are so damn rare that it should be a benefit that your weakness is against them. I probably wouldn't go as far as to recommend substituting cards out for 4-attack minions, I wouldn't see it as too much of a worry if a priest defeats you every now and again.

posted a message on No Legendary? Your going to have a bad time.

To the thread starter - It sounds like you need more practice at the game and need to keep an attitude of trying to improve your own play, rather than worrying about opponents cards. Getting salty as a new player achieves nothing.

In regards to Legends Rank w/out Legendaries - I've done it, in fact lots of people have done it. I have some articles on my blog about strategy and stuff for that sort of thing (Which reminds me, I haven't posted there in a while... whoops).

posted a message on Warlock Zoo to Legend?

The "Zoo" deck has always been a bit *meh* to me, sure it makes good use of Defender of Argus and Doomguard, but it's not like other good Warlock decks can't utilise it better nor have better low-costed minions on the board (Basically, I still think Murloc Warlock is harder to face 0_o).

My (admittedly brief) experiences on ladder recently have been more in line with Rush Hunters re-emerging as being more played.

Ah but it is, it's an early game control deck that builds a big lead early and cruises to the win on the back of the momentum it built early on. Sometimes it is correct to send the house to their face, but often you want to be making favorable trades to keep the board.

Making favorable trades does not suddenly make you a control deck. Getting an early lead on board position is a common trait of non-control decks. You can futz around with definitions of "control," but if you call warlock zoo a control deck, then everything is a control deck.

Yes, it's a board-control deck (Fast, sort of proactive-style and tempo based) rather than a slow "Control" style (Slow, sort of reactive style). etc etc

Warlock hero ability is the best in game, so you could probably make any deck into Legends rank with enough skill and balance, and "Zoo" is no exception.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with playing those cards if they were in your hand; Though just stating it wasn't an auto-win sort of thing. ;)

posted a message on Naturalize. Is anyone using it?

I don't mind Naturalize too much in arena for use as a heavy removal, as sure they draw 2 cards after, but those 2 cards may be absolutely f'ing rubbish - You still get a tempo swing to deal with it. (That said, I don't play druid much in arena any more!)

In constructed, I don't play it: That said, it has it's uses for tempo decks, and is more runnable if the Giants Warlocks become more played for instance, of if you run Gadgetzan's.
