nzoth priest tier 2? this deck is only good against slow decks lol
Really? With 4 different board clears available in spells, plus bonus synergy making Abomination actually worthwhile, Priest is more adapted to handle rushy decks than any other class right now. On top of being able to start clearing on t4, they also can gain back all the health lost up to that point, meaning that unlike many other classes, you can deal with a sudden resurgence from an aggro deck.
Honestly, N'Zoth Priest is at it's weakest against the greediest of decks, and it's not a very weak matchup there.

I don't think you have the card draw to back that up. You don't start clearing on t4 because you often don't have Auchenai + Circle...
In any case there are no N'Zoth Priests in the spring pre finalists in hpwn main page and there are a lot of Shamans and Zoos. That's a big red flag to me. If N'Zoth Priest performed well vs these 2 decks, these being played in a lot of lists should give a Priest player a high chance of being in the finalists right?
Shifting Shade is an awful card on curve too... its just there because its good with N'Zoth.
Aggro/Midrange's win condition is for control decks to not draw removal, which they will not at least 50% if not more. Great you have a single removal spell? I have minions on every turn. You have Auch + Circle? I have two 2-drops and a 1-drop to follow it up, hope you have more circles lol.
It's a good deck if it draws well. Most of the time it won't, and it's not strong. I understand tempostorm isn't always accurate, but they have control priest at tier 4 and nzoth priest at tier 2. Paladin is doing both of these archetypes far better, and in cases, both archetypes simultaneously better than priest doing them individually.
When you are complaining, you must be salty. LUL
It's easy to play the tough guy "you must be salty lol" card, but we're speaking about the reality of Priest, not some "omg zoo is so OP, blizzard pls nerf!!" crap.
On the other hand, I'm still quite impressed that Andoran is doing so well with N'Zoth Priest.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Priest is weak right now, but I don't think it has anything to do with being given weak cards. It's just, aside from Dragon Priest, there is no early game (Cleric, Museum Curator, and Acolyte are not early game minions...yes you play them early but they don't contest the early board well at all), and unless you draw your removal and don't take too much face damage by turn 4/5, you will lose to decks that flood the early board, and it just so happens that those decks are really popular and strong right now (zoo, retard shaman, and divine paladin).
On the opposite side of the spectrum, since priest does not contest the board well at all and relies on board clears and removal it cannot apply pressure vs combo decks like patron/freeze/miracle rogue. Decks capable of one turn kills or going off like miracle are pretty much impossible to beat as preist. There are a lot of those decks as well.
"Priest has all the anti-aggro tools! Y'all suck if you can't deal with aggro!" is such an ignorant statement. Getting the right cards at the right time is the only chance you have. Priest needed/needs a form of reliable card draw. It feels like priest has to bend over backwards to try and get a heal with cleric. Every neutral draw card is too slow and you'll get smashed. Spending 3 mana on Thoughtsteal/4 Mana on a 4/3? Enjoy your Abusive Sergeants, etc...
Priest should have 45 starting health IMO. Warrior can essentially overheal, I don't see why Priest shouldn't be able to do the same.
...because Armor can not be applied to minions? The advantage healing has over Armor is that you can heal minions whereas Armor only applies to your hero.

If you're running thoughtsteal, then you, more than anyone else needs to take heed of the so-called ignorant statement. Thoughtsteal is a perfect example of the greedy crap people play instead of actually constructing their deck to deal with aggro.
You realize you could spend 3 mana on a 2/4 taunt or 4 mana on a 3/5 taunt? That will buy you plenty of time to stabilize into auchenai/circle, excavated evil, nova, pyro/pws, swp/swd, etc. And you have a high chance of healing yourself out of reach after stabilizing.
You ask for more early draw, but with early draw, aggro would stand zero chance. You bemoan northshire being so hard to provide, but an aggro player has to waste a turn dealing with a northshire, and often leaves mana on the table to avoid giving a priest free draw on t2-t4.
And what about the shitty draw engines paladins, rogues, hunters, and shamans have? The game should be balanced, stop whining about not having overpowered tools which would create unwinnable match-ups in your favor.
In 2 years....Amaz has won dreamhacks with priest. In 2 years....undertaker priest was a sweet deck. In 2 years....we saw dragon priest become awesome. In 2 years....we saw control priest played at blizzcon. In the last 2 weeks...we saw priest weak in standard. OH NO MY CLASS HS SO IMBA

Do you read things before you post them? Do you know you sound like a giant asshole? When did I say I was running Thoughtsteal? I'm aware of all the tools Priests have, and yes they are a plenty. Spending 3 mana on a 2/4 taunt? Hmm, might as well play one or both of the 3/4 sisters as they have pseudo-taunt. Do those see play? Kappa. I don't know what you mean about Paladins, Rogues, and Shamans. They have some of the best and efficient card draw in the game. Hunters are the only ones that struggle. Priests have to saturate their decks with so many of these anti-aggro cards that there's not much wiggle room, then you end up heal passing 60% of your turns cause you have nothing to play. I don't feel I'm whining at all, merely explaining what the current state is. Hell, I don't give a damn, I'm still playing priest most of the time anyway.

Undertaker priest is the only good one. You can't compare tournament decks with ladder. And dragon priest is found out few weeks after TGT. Loe priest is decent. Priest is only really good during naxx. Search for tempostorm meta snapshot. If what you say is correct, then Pre loe shaman is also not bad.
Priest is good against aggro? Yeah, with deathlord, zombie chow and lightbomb probably.
in standard, you have to draw well or you are stuck with entomb and holy nova in turn one and useless Pyro and shield against huge minions. Or you can concede and farm legend points. You can also play the useless 3 Mana 2/4 taunt and shadow word horror and get rekt. Who on earth would think shadow word horror is a good "anti-aggro" card? Do you even play priest?
aggro was not a problem before standard.
But what did priest get after losing zombie chow, deathlord and lightbomb? Tentacles Kreygasm.
Imagine when entomb get rotated out of standard. Blizzard can release Death Knight as the new 9th class.

Priest will always be inconsistent and difficult to play, but calling it "unviable" on almost any meta so far is pushing it.
you kidding right ?
control priest,dragon priest,nzoth are tier 1/2 decks
In season 23 I reached rank 1 with control priest and I believe if I'll try it again I will succeed
Yes priest is one of the weaker classes but you can still achieve greatness.
Plenty of people have attained high legend with priest.

Priest is strong enough as it is, just stop going all greedyness when you construct a Priest deck or get rekt.
