Hunter was irrelevant for very, very long. Just grin and bear it. Folks will always complain about the most prevalent class. Priest in MSoG. Shaman in LoE. Paladin in TGT. Warrior after BRM. The list goes on. If you can’t beat them, counter them (or join them).
Well, I think that the biggest nerf that could happen to hunter would be messing up with rexxar DK. Either making it cost more or something like the beast that you create don't combine the stats from the beasts you chose, but instead picks the highest value of attack and health and both of the texts and always cost 5 or something like that. Or still adding both costs to make it way worse. But also in the long term would be to nerf the classic cards for hunter. Once the rotation hits hunter will lose most of the cards that make it so strong right now so it would make hunter really bad in the next rotation.
I'm sorry, the "it's rotating in 4 months so just wait til then" comments are silly. It wouldn't be hard to make a few small nerfs to take the class down a notch, yet still powerful. I don't mind Playing against Hunter but not 10 games in a row .

You are clearly not familiar with how nerfs work. Every time there are nerfs, there are threads like this. People are upset that their deck is no longer on top, and it never amounts to anything. The only possible way they would consider a nerf is if the meta can't solve hunter, which is unlikely. I get that people are upset and want retribution for their loss, but that is the way the game works. If there was a nerf, it would drop right before the new set and it would be focused on cards moving to wild, Spellstone and DK Rexxar hardly represents an issue for wild.

Rexxar all the way .. With the current sets rotation will hit hunter so hard that he might not even get a T3 deck ... With Rexxar + Zujin he is in a god mode especially combined with spellstones.
Honestly, why should they nerf hunter? This class was last time a big thing, when facehunter was popular. Guess this might be about 2 years ago. For me it is ok, when hunter gets a little comeback. As many others said, when DK will rotate out hunter wouldn´t be as good as it ist now. Depents on what comes in April of course. Anyway there´s a new meta now after recent nerfs. Just be thankfull of it and don´t scream for new ones. One class is always the best and then many people scream it´s cancer cause of all that netdecking. This will never change, cause it´s the easiest way.
freezing trap : when your hero is attacked return it to your opponent hand it cost 2 more.
misdirection: when your hero is attacked by enemy that enemy will instead attack another target, prioritizing enemy minions>hunters minions>enemy hero.
bear trap: summons 4/4 misha with taunt
huffer has rush instead of charge . and animal companion can summon companion of your choice or you can pick 1 that you dont summon.
steamwheedle sniper effect is now battlecry for rest of the game. (hero power can target minions) or reprint
northrend beastmaster epic battlecry: craft a perfect zombeast 10 mana you can stitch minions until the result costs 10 mana. snowflipper penguin is banned.
voley 6 mana: deal 3 dmg to all enemy minions.
3 mana 3/4: your spells have echo.
rapid fire 2 mana epic: your spells have spell dmg +1 and cost 1 less but not less than 1 this turn only.
Agreed, I really never to take DK Recxar seriously, especially because of the weak battlecry and evan slower follow up turns with the hero power. Katherina is a much stronger card with immediate board value.
Lesser Emerald Spellstone to 7 mana. 6/6 for 7 mana is weak, 9/9 for 7 mana is good and 12/12 for 7 mana is busted. The spellstone is too easy to upgrade and playing the fully upgraded one on turn 5 is game winning most of the time.
Deathstalker Rexxar reverted to its original design, beasts from KnC, WW, BDP and RR can not be discovever anymore for zombiests. That's the design blizzard thought about and the community cried enough so they changed it. Before, hunter DK was fine. Winning certain match ups by playing this card is not healthy for the game.
These 2 are the most problematic hunter cards and the nerfs would definitely not kill hunter but put it in line with other classes and make it less OP and oppressive.
For those saying "just wait for rotation". WTF is wrong with you? It's like saying "just don't have fun in this game for 4 months because of huntards". I don't want 4 months of unfun game. You want to play a deck you like? Not really with all those huntards. You want to counter them? Play a deck you don't enjoy. Literally anti fun class. These nerfs hit us out of nowhere and I still expect the classic nerfs after an expansion launches and can't wait for hunter to get nerfed.
I really can't understand what hell they thinking.
The same people thinking this insanely OP, totally out of control, broken as hell card is a good idea for hunters:
Are the same people thinking this completely trash, piece of shit garbage, unplayable card is good for rogue:
WHY???
But if rogue have something, even when heavy polarized with 50% winrate, cause some trouble is nerfed very fast, the BS hunter cards like the DK never will see the nerf hammer, again, WHY???
I really can't understand what hell they thinking.

I've literally never seen anyone think Rogues spellstone was good
This is just a classic for bad rogue cards...
Can't imagine what happens, if they ever print a really, really, really good 1-drop for rogue, was impressed because of Vilespine and Minstrel but in the end it can't make up the bad card-design for rogue in general
Rogue surely only lives because of broken neutral cards as real addition to "average" rogue-cards...
I think they will nerf rexxar just before rotation, just like they did with raza for priest. Even now in wild you see some standard spell hunters doing alright, I feel that's mostly because of rexxar.
HSReplays posts a list of the 100 most-played cards in Standard - DK Rexxar currently has the third-worst played win-rate of those hundred cards, so I suspect that a nerf is unnecessary. By the data, playing DK Rexxar in any Hunter build aside from Cube Hunter is as bad as playing Genn Greymane in an Even deck, or Baku the Mooneater in an Odd deck - playing any of those three cards tanks the win-rate of their respective decks by 12%-13%.
It's worth recalling that DK Rexxar was considered a meme card prior to the K&C nerfs. When Cubelock was hit, it opened the door for the next-slowest Cube deck, and Cube Hunter has been a consistent Tier 1.5 deck for the past year. The deck plays DK Rexxar, because unlike every other Hunter deck in the history of the game, it is designed to play into the late game - it therefore has the time to actually leverage the value of all its Zombeasts, and attempt to earn back the opportunity cost of actually playing him. DK Rexxar is too expensive for any fast Hunter build - the first Zombeast is costed at an 8-mana premium, and it often takes three full turns before the first Zombeast can actually attack (play DK, play a Zombeast, attack with it.) Hence, unplayable in any deck which is meant to win the game by turn eight - in other words, just about every other Hunter deck on ladder.
In Cube Hunter, Rexxar's played win-rate is even. By comparison, the best-performing DK in the game is currently Bloodreaver Gul'dan - his played win-rate is +13%. It's worth noticing that Cube Hunter plays lots of late-game cards - DK Rexxar never "solos" a control deck, but supplements an already powerful late-game package which altogether punishes slow control decks with accumulated value over multiple late-game turns.
As it happens, the most-popular build of Midrange Hunter on HSReplays has cut DK Rexxar altogether. Not surprisingly, the overall win-rate of that particular build is 2% better than the next most-popular build which continues to run the DK.
I think they will nerf rexxar just before rotation, just like they did with raza for priest. Even now in wild you see some standard spell hunters doing alright, I feel that's mostly because of rexxar.
Hunter in Wild is tier 2-3 class so you are incorrect. You can do well with tier 2-3 deck until rank 5 or so when people get serious and play top decks.
It would really surprise me if any DKs got nerfed because rotation is so close and also if they wanted to nerf DKs, they would have to nerf Jaina and Guldan as well. No way they are going to do that.
I feel like removing Vicious Scalehide from the Zombeast pool would help a lot, although that wouldn't solve the problem of turn 5 12/12 into turn 6 12/12.
Wrong. it is t4 + coin 12/12 into t5 12/12 in 99% of the time you play against a spellstone abuser.

They are not gonna nerf it is leaving in 4 months hunter will be joke it will be way different meta then a lot of op cards are gone.

spellstone requires two secrets to upgrade and ds rexxar cap beast choices at 5 mana
Make spellstone upgrade by playing 2 secrets instead of 1

Design-failures like Quest are not mentioned
honorble mentions: Kidnapper, Patient Assassin
No need to nerf hunter imho.
If they would go and nerf Spellstone then they would probably do it globally, priest Spellstone is also busted so that would be nerfed too.
But they are not gonna nerf anything so soon after latest nerfs, they will just leave it as is until rotation.
