Howdy folks.
Are you tired of Pirate Warriors, Jade Druids, Demonlocks, and Reno Priests ruining your Wild fun? Then boy, do I have a deck for you!
I've reached legend multiple times with Shaman, so now I'm trying to see how meme I can go while still enjoying some level of success.
I'm currently rank 3 with this deck from rank 16, holding around a 65% win-rate. Will update as I go.
The deck is somewhat difficult to play, and clearly expensive as fuck, but it's an absolute hoot n' a half to pilot. This is tailored to those with a large Wild collection who want to make the most of their expansive set.
Game plan:
The true meme dream is to play Barnes on turn 4 into DW Dragonlord while holding Ysera/Chrom/Chillmaw/Bone Drake, or Barnes into Y'Shaarj who pulls DW. However, the deck is designed so that the only poor rolls from Barnes or Y'Shaarj are Hallazeal and N'Zoth, the former of which isn't even a bad pull in later turns.
You'll also notice an extremely high mana curve: nothing below 4 mana, with several 10 drops, to greatly boost the odds of winning Healing Wave jousts.
You also have a disgusting amount of board clears and transform effects. This completely wrecks enemy strategies revolving around Murlocs, Deathrattles, Divine Shields, Demons, Pirates, etc. A well-timed devolve into elemental destruction into lava shock will carry you from the early game (when you essentially totem-pass) into the late game where you stop dropping bombs turn after turn.
Ancestor's Call is a beautiful way to tempo out a big fatty when you're overloaded, or you need to board wipe the same turn. It can also crush your opponent in the same way Dirty Rat can, by pulling their Reno, N'Zoth, etc.
Replacements:
A lot of the legendaries are interchangeable with other ones you may have, as long as they replace 1-for-1 the synergy with N'Zoth and/or DW Dragonlord (Cairne for Sneed's, for example)
I'll write more (mulligan, matchups, general tips) if this gets a decent amount (25?) of upvotes, yadda yadda.
Fun doesn't even describe this deck! :) I love how it looks like you're losing for so long, and then miracle after miracle happens. My opponent doesn't even know how to act! I've tried a bunch of different Legendaries and they all work just fine - as long as there's synergy, of course. Early game is pretty rough, but it's so worth it.
This deck is a lot of fun to play. I swapped out Cairne for Sneed and crafted The Lich King since those were the only two cards I was missing. At some point I might swap in an Ancestral Spirit for a White Eyes drop just to get a little more taunt in the deck. Very fun overall though.
