Update: December 2019

The guide is now up to date for Descent of Dragons!  Please let me know what you think and if you agree with my new card choices and explanations.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Card Choice Explanations:

Part of the fun of Hearthstone (for me at least) is figuring out why certain cards are good or bad, but if you don't understand why I chose these cards, then either check the spoilers, or ask me in the comments.

Pogo-Hopper, Lab Recruiter, Shadowstep, Togwaggle's Scheme, Waggle Pick-->

These cards are key to your win condition, which is to keep Pogo-hopping until the opponent just dies. Waggle Pick and Shadowstep can also be used on other minions if necessary for survival.

Spirit of the Shark -->

Fits perfectly in this deck.  Not only can it set up for some insane Pogo scaling with Shadowstep and Lab Recruiter, but it fits well with so many other cards that would be used in this archetype.

Stowaway + Witchwood Piper -->

Card draw is really important for Pogo rogue to succeed, so doubling up on either piper or Stowaway can be a great play, since you will get even more pogos out of your deck

Backstab, SI:7 Agent, Edwin VanCleef, Zilliax -->

Staying alive is pretty important, and aggro will prove a major challenge without these. Edwin and SI:7 can also be combined with the spirit for more value, but that value is only worth it against faster decks.

 Flik SkyshivDragonmaw PoacherSapEviscerate

Great single target removals to help control the board while you build pogos.  Dependent on meta and can be switched out fairly easily.

 EVIL Cable Rat, EVIL Miscreant, Heistbaron Togwaggle-->

Good synergy with bounce effects, spirit of the shark, and combo activating. Togwaggle's treasure is great for board presence or drawing through your deck faster.

Cards to Consider:

If you aren't sure how to change this deck to suit the meta, then below are some suggestions.  If you think I may have missed some, I would love your input in the comments!

Majority Aggro -->

- 1 Flik, - 2 Dragonmaw Poachers

+ 1 Eviscerate, + 1 SI:7 Agent, +1 Pharaoh Cat

Flik and Poachers are great against greedy decks, especially at the start of the expansion, but may fall off if faster decks become prevalent, so you will want some faster and cheaper cards to play like these.

 Extremely Aggro -->

- 1 Flik, - 2 Dragonmaw Poachers, - 1 Sap, - 1 Heistbaron, - 2 Evil Cable Rat, -1 Togwaggle's Scheme, -1 Lab Recruiter -1 Stowaway

+ 1 Eviscerate, + 1 SI:7 Agent, + 2 Mecharoo, + 2 Bronze Gatekeeper, + 2 Goboglide Tech, + 1 SN1P-SN4P, + 1 Upgradeable Framebot

If the meta is severely aggro and fast pace, you can still run pogos, but I think this deck would need to go a very different direction and be more mech focused and less shuffle focused.  Since Pogo Hoppers are also mechs, it synergizes decently with the additional magnetic cards, and the non-magnetic cards are just additional bodies you can play early to have board presence and another option to use magnetic on. Your Pogo hoppers won't be able to get as big, but even getting up to a 9/9 or 11/11 is quite a bit of value.

I will make a separate deck for heavy aggro metas and put a link to it here if it becomes necessary

Majority Midrange/Big Minions -->

+ 1 Sap, + Augmented Elekk

-1 SI:7 Agent, - 1 Eviscerate

These are tentative substitutions because you might want to include tech cards instead which fit better, but for now, these are good value in this match-up.

Extremely Midrange -->

...just kidding this will never happen.

Majority Control -->

- 1 SI:7, - 1 Eviscerate, - 1 Backstab, - 1 Waggle Pick

+ 2 Augmented Elekk + 1 Witchwood Piper, + Barista Lynchen

You might be running some other tech cards instead of these additions, but these will add a lot of value against control

Lots of Combo -->

- 1 SI:7, - 1 Backstab, - 2 Dragonmaw Poachers,

+ 1 Eviscerate, + 1 Leeroy Jenkins + 2 Bad Luck Albatross

If combo is prevalent, although very unlikely, you will just want to kill the opponent as fast as possible, So an additional Eviscerate and Leeroy is 10 damage toward that.  Bad Luck albatross is just a decent body which can slow down your opponent's card draw to help you gain a turn advantage and win before they get the combo.

Let me know how this deck does for you and if you'd suggest any changes!  If this gets enough attention, maybe 5-10 more upvotes, I will add a mulligan guide after doing some testing after release.
