This massive yeti just closes his eyes and charges at the nearest target. The nearest Target is a couple blocks away and has sick deals on skateboards.

If lord jaraxxus is demon right why Malganis doesnt make this jaraxxus attack to 5 and health to 17
Lord Jaraxxus (after battlecry) is a hero AND a demon, that is why you can cast Sacrificial Pact, but cannot Assassinate him. Read the cards, guys, Sacrificial Pact destroys a Demon, not a Demon Minion.
no idea why it's a 10 10. Should at least be a 12 12, or 8 mana. Oh boy, you can have this trade with a ragnaros or some big legendary. but then you're left with a 10 2. just dies to a 1 or 2 drop, or a small spell. I could see this being best in priest, but you cant heal it the turn it's played. It would be cool if you could silence this and then attack face, but not only is it 9 mana, but if you did somehow silence it, you'd lose charge. Yet another cool card that's like 2 mana overbudgeted.
Circle of Healing, Light of the Naaru and the new Flash Heal say hi!
And Emperor Thaurissan says "BY THE POWER OF RAGNAROS!"
Why is it a 10/10? I mean, it is 4 stats ahead of the other 9 drops.
well not only are the other 9 drops that have 9 7 all have some crazy ability or battlecry, but none of them are good to begin with lol. This doesn't have a crazy ability, it's basically like a Stormwind Knight, or an Argent Commander, but scaled up. It's supposed to essentially be like a tempo card, but it's a 9 drop lol. It's a tempo card that can only played in the stage of the game where tempo no longer matters. Like I said, this is meant to kill something like a ragnaros and then become a big guy on the board, but with 2 hp, it wont be. In the early stages of the game, having a tempo minion kill something and then have 2 hp left over (like cruel taskmaster for instance) it's really good because the opponent can't efficiently kill it off. But at turn 10, they can easily do 2 dmg.
Looking at this card and I recalled there's a card called Foe Reaper 4000. It is actually much more efficient in board control, cost one mana less, not a BGH target, can attack hero and it is a mech. Since Foe Reaper 4000 is not even being played, I don't see this card being played either.I think this card is bottom line of slowness.
Can't agree. Foe Reaper 4000 is not good enough because it doesn't have immediate effect. When you drop it, in your opponent's next turn it's just a 6/9 body and can be traded without extra value. This card on the other hand has charge therefore has immediate effect. I am not saying Icehowl is better though, it's just the way you evaluate card value isn't correct.
It will be nice to taunt it. If they silence it to pass through, then you can go face.
The 'can't attack heroes' effect on a minion is the first ever, which is why blizzard doesn't yet know how to balance it. They obviously know that they can give such a minion higher stats then normal, but I guess it's way more relevant to go face in the late game.
It's their first try at this 'minion can't face' concept, so they will likely learn whether this works for it's cost and then try and make future minion that work better with it.
The interview did talk about that: They make a card with no comparable balance, and see whether it becomes OP or UP.
Aviana + Icehowl might actually be a nice hard removal play for Druids. It also creates a tough choice for opponents on their following turn. Do I take out the 10 attack wrecking ball or the legendary that might result in numerous big minions dropped on me next turn?
Lots of expensive legendaries become really good if you radically reduce the cost. I don't think this one stands out.
That's one angry Poro
Love this <3
Allright, allright... Another wonderful card getting all possible hatred on Earth just 'cause it costs a lot and have a minor drawback. Don't you noticed Effigy? Recombobulator? The worst thing possible in both cases is get a Majordomo Executus, but at least this one can hit face, right? And as, until now, we have 4 new 9-mana minions, so the chance to get it or an all new, totally healed and fully charging Icehowl is even smaller!!! This on the bad side of RNGness; on the good one there is a face-charging King Krush, an immortal, Nerubian-spawner Anub'arak or even the "WTF JUST 1-MANA COST FOR ALL CREATURES??" Aviana. And it will be almost unbeatable in this new Joust thing. So, IMO, Icehowl is very good and very playable, even if at the cost of a slot or two for a safety Wailing Soul.
A 2-mana Recombobulator into Aviana means you can put 8 other creatures on board the same turn. I am afraid even to consider the possibilities.
Extended board hacks OP. I can only play 7 minions...
In Shaman, with Mogor the Ogre on the board, Icehowl + Ancestral Spirit + Reincarnate (after Emperor Thaurissan or with Ancestor's Call) it's 10 damage to a random enemy x3 !
I don't think it's OP but at least it's pretty funny.
[EDIT : Plus, with Ancestor's Call you'll have a enemy minion to be attack ]
I wonder if Mogor the Ogre could allow it to miss a minion and hit face? That would be an interesting thing to find out.
Execute kill Spellbender (un-damaged obviously) so i think it will work but who knows how Blizz write the rules.
In some cases i still don't understand why something trigger right/wrong or not.
