Guys, Droplock is going to be insane.
This card is definitely much better than Fist of Jaraxxus. Maybe discard Warlock will be a at least a half decent deck.
Well this card technically isn't
I hope discard warlock becomes a thing, I just hope isnt just another zooish aggro deck
...well then I got bad news for you buddy
Malchazaar Imp = Void Walker
Jaraxxus Fist = Soul Fire
Soul Fire = Soul Fire
Doom guard = Doomguard
Darkshire Librarian = Cheap draw and effect
Tiny Knight of Evil = Cheap buffing minion
Silverware Golem = Free 3/3 zoo card
Discardlock if it works will just be a variety of zoo, prolly a worse variety
that is why I'm super not excited to see all these discard cards
I'm making a 1 to 1 comparison between Zoolock and what I think Discardlock would be Soul Fire = Soul Fire means both decks would run this card. Sorry, I thought that was easier to understand.
Make this a 12 cost 30/30 with the same effect and I might play it.
discard warlock will be one of the best decks mark me
I will try discard zoo, but I don't think Blizzard understands how bad the discard mechanic is. It is way worse then overload. Look how overpowered you had to make overload cards to make that good. That is what you would have to do to make discard good. Don't do that. Don't do that please. lol.
Well if they have effect like these it can maybe work.
As long as there is so much RNG involved in the discard mechanic, i don't expect it to ever ever ever work out. Every time you play one of them it's just a coin flip if you discard Jaraxxus or something like this card (Silverware Golem), which pretty much decides if you win or lose the game.
The only way i see it becoming viable if we get a card with: "Battlecry: Choose a card in your hand and discard it"
But that is kind of why Zoo can run two Soul Fires, even if it has to discard something, it generally has something just as good at the top of the deck already just because the amount of value cards is so high. This being said, using Malchezaar's Imp to your advantage and grabbing that extra card draw, even if you discard something useful, will be compensated for 9 out of 10 times.
I'm not saying that they should change cards like Soul Fire to have that effect. It's just that Warlock really needs new cards with that effect to make 'Discard Warlock' a viable deck type.
Even if you get to draw something new with Malchezaar's Imp, you just don't ever want to risk discarding your Reno Jackson or Jaraxxus. And you're already using a card for that Imp just to draw new cards, while he's pretty shitty if you just look at his stats (Void dude at least has taunt).
Honestly Discolock doesn't really need something like that, it just needs a whole lot more effects that take advantage of being discarded. Imp, Darkshire Librarian, Tiny Knight of Evil, Soulfire, The Doomguard, the 4/3 Succubus.....
If we get two more "When you discard this card" type cards, the deck will really fire off. As it currently is, there are plenty of ways to play a discard deck, but not enough ways to take advantage of it.
Once again: The shitty part about this deck type is that's it's pure RNG every turn if you discard the card you want or the the card that would win you the game next turn.
I just wouldn't like a deck where i have to flip a coin every single turn that determines if i win or lose the game.
Well technically it is half RNG since you can choose what you are playing before the discard at least. Now something that I think would be really cool is a card the makes it so that when you discard a card, instead of choosing at random, give the player a choice as to what is discarded.
You really don't have to like or play the deck, but you can't say that this deck in particular is pure RNG when it's in the game of Hearthstone......
Now, I'm not saying anything bad against RNG, Hearthstone, or anything, but to say "This can lose you the game because you discard the wrong card" is the same as saying "You should never play Shredder since it can turn into a Doomsayer and kill your entire board.
I can't wait to build a discard deck so I can give my Tiny Knight of Stupidity a +1/1.
