As amazing as the number of different card names you wrote on that post.
Doesn't work with Blade Flurry. Same with Envenom Weapon.
pro: a life gain card for a class that has none and some decks may want lifegain
con: pretty much everything else.
the card is pure life gain, in that it has no impact other than gaining life. Personally, as I learned playing Magic, incidental life gain tacked onto other effects you like can be nice, but spending a valuable card resource on a pure life gain spell is not worth it, except possibly at an insane rate. This is not an insane rate. it gains 2 life for 2 mana and a card with the hero power...that's not remotely playable. i Don't think gain 9 from shard is worth 2 and a card or 12 from assassin blade, and those seem best care scenarios and assume you cast the spell on the weapon before the first swing, which means it can't work on curve aggressively. Rogue IS desperate for healing at times, but i don't think id even end up playing a pure life gain card that simply cost 2 to gain 8 life with no strings attached in an ideal optimized decklist. there will be something better for that slot.
if this had another effect attached, like deal 2 to a minion or something board impacting, im very interested, even on the default hero power.
if this had a body attached, id be interested.
like the idea of giving rogue life steal on weapons, highly dislike this card, even if it cost less. i would like to see this effect in rogue from other means, as well as letting rogue be immune when attacking somehow, as ways to enhance the "control" rogue slowly. this shows they are willing to walk this direction, but seems extremely conservative first stab at it. I'd like to see a developer's diary of how they tested and costed this and how it landed where it did.
combos may make this a niche player someday i suppose, but its not a good card by itself or with the carpool before this expansion IMHO.
Finally! Rogues had next to no way to restore thier health or gain armor compared to other classes. Now they can do that... moderately speaking; I mean no Rogue weapon usually exceeds 4 or 5 damage without some help but this could be nice for going face.
This card would be good if it had a 2/2 body attached to it.
This would have been the dream for warriors. Lifesteal Gorehowl would be so OP.
Perfect, healing for my Burgle Rogue. Not really good on its own with just the hero power, but potentially amazing with Obsidian Shard.
I think this could have some decent value working with Deadly Poison and Violet Illusionist. It will definitely be fun to tinker with. Sometimes all you need is just one more health.
With all the anti-weapon tech cards that people is using right now, this card it's just a waste of resources, it will be nice to spend two cards and 5-8 mana creating a good healing weapon, just to watch how your opponent destroy it next turn. The cost is ridiculous.
This effect would be great as a minion battlecry, like this it's just garbage in constructed.
I actually really like this card, rogues needed healing and now they got it,and the card design fits the class perfectly too.
it sucks though
Value wise it's not too bad for the mana cost when you figure the hero power combo'd with Deadly Poison because you get a 3/2 that heals for 3. It's a Rogue's version of Truesilver Champion but it costs 5, and offers 1 more point in healing for one less damage.
I haven't researched how Lifesteal actually works yet, but I wonder if the healing takes place after the damage is dealt to you, or prior much like Truesilver. That could actually make for better value if you are dealt the damage first because if you kill off a 4/3 with your 3/2 weapon, and recoup 3 hp then effectively you've only taken 1 damage (all of this off the assumption you started at full health, otherwise it wouldn't matter so much when the healing takes place.
My biggest issue with this is that it takes up 2 card slots just to get a similar value that Paladins get with Truesilver Champion in one card. The only thing that makes up for it is that it could be paired with Assassin's Blade but that costs 7 mana, and isn't worth it.
this doesnt fit rogue bcs there is no vampiric poison in WoW. but there is talent called leeching poison on assasination rogue pls rename
The name of the card is Leeching Poison though. If it said Vampiric before it must have been mistranslated.
it used to be called vampiric poison btw ,-,
Yup, some of the streamers reviewed it under that name, too.
Seeing how Envenom Weapon doesn't work with Blade Flurry. I don't see this card working either. There better be a great rogue weapon coming soon or this will never see play.
so atm the best outcome is:
wow, that's an 8 mana, 3 card combo to heal 5 per turn for 4 turns if your weapon doesn't get removed or you don't have to hit minions. good luck with that.
Unless rogue gets a good cheap weapon or they don't change blade flurry this isn't going to be played.
