Im pretty sure it doesnt work that way.
The cost of the cards in your deck cannot be reduced, Barnabus the Stomper's battlecry is basicly 'Whenever you draw a minion, reduce its cost to (0)'
Same goes for The Mistcaller. The minion only gets buffed when you draw it.
This stupid combo is why I kinda like that i got Hemet, sadly he is the only legendary I got. finish quest, play reward. play curator to draw a malygos and murloc that draws 2 cards, now play hemet then murloc and maylogs. you drew 2 spells cost 4+ and possibly hame alot of mana left? its not intented to be viable. Its intented to be a silly kill.
I really was angry because i thought that this card is actually quite broken, but then... not sure if it is broken enough compared to Jade Druid. While some people think of playing ragers (and Ice Rager in Wild MIGHT become playable), and the 5/2 druid also seems quite tasty, you probably won't get this off until turn 8-9. And then you already have so much mana, that you
Furthermore: your card in your hand doesn't get a discont, so you need to draw much much more cards for it after you played it. And druid rely very much on Spells too; you can't have too many minions there too.
I think this card might be bonkers, and maybe i'm wrong, but druid already lacks much card draw, and jade druid is so strong because of Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
And i think that in most cases the cards you might play for 0 with this card would not matter much, because at the time this card shines, you already have 10 mana. And if you summon a 8 mana minion for 8 or 0 doesn't matter then anymore. Yes, you could summon more, but in most cases i think that you simply end with unused mana crystals, and then it doesn't matter if you end your turn with 10 empty mana crystals or 2 empty ones and 8 that are full, but not used because of this.
But you only need 5 minions for this; like said before: it might be bonkers, and the low number might actually be enough to make this from playable to omfgblizzyoudonotknowanythingaboutbalancingatallpleaseletsomeoneelsedothiswhoknowaboutcardgamesalotmorethanyouevery5yearoldwouldbeenough
It's not bonkers compared to Jades, but it is bonkers IN jades.
Ancient of War? Aya Blackpaw? Jade Golem themselves? This thing says Summon, not play so getting a 5/5, 6/6, 7/7 Jade Golem off of Jade Idol absolutely does trigger this thing, and a free Gadgetzan Auctioneer with a bunch of jade idols is pretty good.
Everyone's glad we no longer have to put up with Jade Druid?

Nah, i thought about this too, but the problem is: Jade is actually quite slow setting up jade itself. At turn 6, you probably set up a 3/6 taunt with a 3/3 jade golem. And even after this, it takes a while. Insane it gets at turn 10 and above, but then the jade train rolls in. But then it's not so imporatant to have 0 mana minions; and since many jade druids only have 1 auctioneer, you probably already drawn it. And Jade druid decks are actually quite spell-heavy.
So the only good thing is maybe the 5 mana 8/8, but nothing more. In the lategame, Jade druid don't really lacks on mana. So i doubt it will be as good as you think.
Was this an sarcastic approach, since Jade Druid does not get rotated out this year?
Why don't people view this as the next-level Aviana? You can literally play the same maly-kun combo but maybe without kun since u have the quest reward and u also have a second win condition which is the pressure from your 5 attack minions and well card draw is a problem but with 2x nourishes and 2x lunar visions maybe + wild growths that can become draws and wraths maybe it is good, think about it.

doesn't work that way, cards in the deck don't get buffs, the way the "give X effect" to minions in your deck works in hearthstone is by giving the effect whenever youd raw them,
it probably works like mistcaller, where the mana is reduced upon drawing, its still a 10 cost minion while in the deck
Despite what the card says, a card cannot have its values altered while in your deck. The reduction happens as the card is actually drawn. A more accurate phrasing would be, "reduces all creatures mana cost to 0 after they are drawn." This interaction order is the same as with Mistcaller.
Here's my deck for this quest, hopefully the meta slows down so we can see some of these new big minions in play.
They released soooooooo many good aggressive cards tho, hold me im scared.
replace Giant Anaconda with Bittertide Hydra edit, aslo yous hould jsut get rid of the non-ramping jade cards because 5/5 golems take a while to get and just add 2* Tortollan Forager and 2* Elder Longneck, they do offer a great curve together and the tortollan makes sure you can trigger the longneck, so as long as you go for Health you get a 3 mana 5/4 which is already yeti stats for just 3 mana, i guess you could go for divine shield or the deathrattle plant effect in case you don't get the option to pick health, but really, Jade is just too slow for this.
The jades and panthers from Power of the Wild are for early board control since all the minions are high mana cost and we want to have a good Barnes & Goya synergy with all the minions in the deck. Moonglade Portal is in this deck for the same reason, spells that give minions on the board gives the deck an opportunity to flip the board control with plays from Barnes, Madam Goya and Giant Anaconda. The battlecry cards you suggested go against that strategy and Giant Anaconda is an awesome Barnes summon, no way I'd take it out.
This quest is incredibly easy to pull off in Astral Communion druid.
But Astral Communion Druid doesn't need it :D
