Then why do people consider for example Haunted Creeper similar to a 3/4, or Harvest Golem similar to a 4/4, Argent Commander to 4 dmg spell that leaves a 4/2 body behind, etc. (though they would have different effect on the board as you mentioned in your example)? Simply because when comparing some cards to others, their value can be esteemed more easily. So you needn't explain me why a buff works different than a minion, I just think that commonly it is compared to it because of the similar effect.
That's great if you want to think of buffs as similar to charge. But clearly, my argument was never that buffs could not explicitly be compared with Charge, my argument was that buffs are not the same as Charge and could not be equated as such. Going back to my first reply, you can see that I was disagreeing with a commenter that was equating a buff, Dark Wispers, as a Charge minion with a prerequisite of having another minion on the board. I was merely explaining why that viewpoint had flaws to it.
It comes down to a matter of opinion, hence the fact that we will never agree on this, but I hope you reconsider your original reply to mine.
Druid versatility yeh boi!
Some great potential with this card. PotW/Roar/SotF. Very nice card!
The dark wispers + power of the wild combo is a good one, but doesn't work well in the mirror match. If you're playing another druid, then any spell power+1 minion followed by swipe wipes the board, as swipe becomes 5 + 2-AOE.
So, if you're using this combo, make sure to draw out any opposing AOE first, and be wary of spell power minions on the field.
Good point. Could also combo it with soul of the forest .
Literally what happened when designing this card.
"Dude. Lets make a card for token druid that summons 2/2 Treants"
"Yeah and they can choose 1 to make a creature big or that!"
Then in the back of the room, a light turns on, and a guy turns around in his chair, puts his hands on the desk and says: "No... It is the dark Wispers"
People gasp and some one jumps off the roof.
Normally getting 5 wisps is pretty bad but it doesn't seem outlandish for this to make it into a token deck, especially one that runs cards like Knife Juggler, Sea Giant, and so on. On top of that, you get a versatile option to buff a weaker minion up for trading, face damage or protecting your tokens.
Also, Dark Wispers. Lol, really blizzard?
I could see some value with the Juggler...
This card compared to Onyxia... not that good :P .
This one appears to be missing from the deckbuilder database, currently.
Great pun. But works great with Power of the Wild or even Poison Seeds,
Maybe fear of Savage Roar the turn after can cause opponents to use up AoE or delay a turn.
6 mana to get 5 0 cost Wisp minions? Anyone else feeling ripped off?
Not when you get them all from ONE CARD, AND you can use it to buff your minions if you don't have a need for wisps.
lol wisps has chance to be on the game XD
