with Spirit of the Dead on the board.
or with Youthful Brewmaster
finally my lovely Shrinkmeister + Shadow Madness + Youthful Brewmaster combo is back in standard !
Lazul's Scheme doesn't work well with Cabal Shadow Priest, because the minion you steal retains it's debuff untill your next turn. So the opponent can just kill it in their turn (for free in many cases).
Interestingly enough, Priest does have a lot of supercheap spells during the next cicle. Miracle Priest incoming.
I disagree. Twilight Acolyte into Cabal Shadow Priest was a very common play, and it costed 3 mana more. A 2/8 The Lich King is a great steal for 6 mana and it doesn't die that easily with 8 health. It would even regain its attack on your next turn! (I know Lich King will rotate with this expansion, I was just illustrating a point.)
Right, however today Cabal Shadow Priest is used exactly for that: stealing a minion. It is less important if it sticks one or more turns.
The power of Lazul's Scheme in combination with Cabal Shadow Priest is somehow better that the Twilight Acolyte + Cabal Shadow Priest combo, because it works with just 6 mana instead of 9. The side effect is that you had two minions with the Acolyte + Cabal combo, while now you just have one.
Interesting that they would push Mech Deathrattle synergy so soon after Boomsday. With Play Dead Terrorscale Stalker and Spiritsinger Umbra rotating out, they probably have more design space to explore.
It doesn't seem very good to me, though. Unless we get some really insane synergy.
Better in wild
As a wild legend player, everything in wild is bigger, better and more explosive!
Dr. Boom approves
Lazul's scheme is so damn good in combination with cabal shadow priest and topsy turvy. Maybe we see some divine shield combo deck that uses those cards as a removal option. The rotation of radiant elemental and shadow visions hurts a lot though.
Also glad to see they are taking the mech route for hunter, so it gets help coming from the year of the raven, but it really needs a 1 drop mech to be a thing.
Mechanical Whelp
Spider Bomb
It's cheaper to play Spider Bomb directly. This card is more of a similar niche to Kathrena, it will work well only if you expect to summon an expensive mech.
I was surprised to see another Mech card since Boom's Day.
well.. dr boom returns in this expansion
oblivitron feels kinda bad, understatted, and you have to hold the right mech in your hand until he dies. maaaaybe in deathrattle hunter, but even then, I dont know.
Lazul Scheme is another way to do sick Inner Fire combo. May see play.
Oblivitron is the vengeance for year of hunters. Way too slow.
Why we dont have anymore the button below the card? "dISCUss this card" or even the option to click in them?
Now I know exactly which Legendary I will open first... and which Epics I will get in quantity of a bazillion, it seems like. We didn't see any bad new cards before this very moment, but it's never too late.
On standard there are only 3 mechs that have good synergy with this legendary: Whelp, Spider Bomb and Pinata. :/
You forgot Goblin Bomb :p
You think its worth to play 3/4 for six just to get that 2 face dmg?
It was a joke man lol
