The meta is finally bringing Rogue down to earth after targeting it enough. Rogue's win rates are starting to drop due to the rise of Miracle Mage and Secret Hunter. It looked like the meta was settled in a Rogue dominated world, and now things are changing up a bit on it's own.
Nerfs might come in June to shake things up a bit more, but I was very surprised by the drop in Rogue's win rates.
Rafaam is a 7 mana card that often times you keep in your mulligan. It's insanely fun and makes some absolutely ridiculous matches. Just watch the final game of HCT for an example.
You never know when an unplayable card will end up becoming a vital part of a new deck.
Mage is also one of the top 4 classes atm, so I'm confused why you decided to dust your main class collection when the class is in no ways in a bad spot right now.
If you main Paladin or Warlock, I might be able to understand where you were coming from.
Learn from your mistake, don't dust your collection, maybe buy some packs to help you build back up, and you'll get your mage collection back eventually. Just will take some time depending on how much real money you're willing to spend.
It's not the worst meta ever, but it is definitely in need of a shake up so some other decks can have a chance to shine. Rogue has polarized the meta too much. Hopefully the nerf bat comes down soon to shake things up.
I'm not 100% sold on Subject 9. I've played a few games where between draw and Masked Contenders, Subject 9 just ends up a dead card and a terrible top deck. I love Subject 9, but I feel with only 3 secrets and Masked Contenders, it isn't worth having.
I'll play around with him some more and see if I think he pulls his weight, or if another card would be a better replacement.
Great deck though! I've been experimenting with Spell/Control Hunter all expansion, and this is a very fun version!

Now how am I supposed to procrastinate at work!?!
No words can describe the amount of sadness this brings.
As toxic as this community could be at times, it was always there as an endless source of entertainment, and laughs.
Curse is making a huge mistake with this.
Hope to see everyone around elsewhere!

Hunter is going to be the problem after these nerfs, not mage.

You really think it's worth a card slot for banker or brewmaster for just in case you have the coin in a mirror match? That is a complete waste.

Dusting is a trap. That was your #1 mistake.

Good points. And with hunter, any card draw is always a good thing. I have found that he more often than not is a very useful addition to the deck.

I haven't even hit rank 5 yet this season. I haven't had much time to play though. Congrats and welcome to the (sometimes toxic) community!

If you're getting "owned hard" by control warrior when playing secret hunter, you're playing the deck wrong.

Also this spell hunter: I haven't played it since the meta has settled a bit, thinking of dusting it off and seeing what it does now days.

Maly Hunter. OTK spell hunter deck was something that I never imagined would work, and it's a blast!
