Wow, and here i was thinking i was the only one which found aggro decks harder to play than midrange decks where you just play whatever card fits your mana curve every turn.

Ethylbenzene posted a message on Tell me which is the most broken card in the game at the moment...Posted in: Card DiscussionI'd say the most OP card in the game is still Dr. Boom
Other considerations would be Piloted Shredder, Mad Scientist, and Mysterious Challenger. The last two, however, are meh minions that become insanely OP in decks that are based around them. Dr. Boom just goes in every deck.

sleepyhs posted a message on Why secret paladin is the most unhealthy thing that could have happened to the gamePosted in: General DiscussionQuote from a_s_g_a_r_d_s_r_e_i >>@KKoolis: GP-Warrior is the heardest one to play! in this simple game, GPW is for sure the hardest. the needed skill-gap between aggro and control decks on the other hand isnt that big...
People need to stop saying this. NO, Patron Warrior is not difficult to play. It literally only takes a few games to understand. Stop repeating this garbage just because Ben Brode said it.
What KKoolis said about "No player growth" is absolutely true and it makes the issues with decks like Patron Warrior and Secret Paladin even more noticeable.

DragonConsort posted a message on Does Dr. Boom Need to be Nerfed?Posted in: Card DiscussionYup Tirion was supposed to be a great class legendary, maybe the best one. Yet the neutral Boom costs one mana less and is still better. Perfectly balanced obviously.

Hearthstone players enjoy the aspects of the game that require them to strategize. If they keep increasing the amount of RNG, it is just going to make a lot of people lose interest in the game.

Sykomyke posted a message on Are you happy with the current meta ?Posted in: General DiscussionI think the meta is vastly different now. But am I happy with it? Not necessarily. My biggest disappointment is that previous meta decks are still viable. No, I'm not referring to updated decks that put in a few TGT cards, I'm referring to people running straight Soulpriest/Steal priest decks from a year ago with no update to TGT card. Hunters and Mech Mages running straight GvG decks with no updates at all are still viable. IMO expansion should ever so slightly provide better (but conditional) cards that vanilla/older expansions can't directly compete against except in specific circumstances.
It makes me sad when I see 5 month old net-decks (down to the card) still retaining viability on the ladder versus newer cards.

Stop with the 'real card' argument nonsense"Thousands of players stopped playing during Hemet Nesingwary thanks to Fen Creeper"
If they can't beat the tutural bot, how are you supposed to guide them to win a single game on pvp? Better that they quit immediatly"Rarity is a good way to balance cards in arena but also skew complexity in card packs."
What?"If Astral Communion was a Common it would be crazy in Arena and people wouldn't understand how to use it as much."
Nobody ever mentioned Astral Communion, how did you seriously come up with that? We talk about swapping Bolster and Sparring Partner. -

Nerf?
YEP, STILL NEEEDS IT.
Interview with Hoej:
http://read.navi-gaming.com/en/team_news/interview_with_hoej_rng_skill
— Is there a card in particular that you consider overpowered at the moment and that would require to be balanced?
— This is a really good question, because I actually wanted to make an article about this subject. There are several cards I find overpowered but the most broken card is probably Dr. Boom, because he can fit into every deck.
Even in a world of Secret Paladins, good players understand the true problem is still Dr. Boom. Fix Dr. Boom and Paladin loses a lot. Fix the next two biggest problem cards in the game, Piloted Shredder and Knife Juggler, and Paladin completely falls off.

Instead of the useful, fun, and playable minions that Mage gets, we get either garbage (Warhorse Trainer), or viable but aggro and unfun cards (Mysterious Challenger).
Secret Paladin doesn't need a nerf, it has tons of counters. However it still supports a boring aggro strategy and for that reason I might be fine with a nerf. Especially if they gave us a boost to the Control Paladin decks/cards as compensation.
My proposition to Blizzard: Make Silver Hand Regent a 2/4 Paladin card like it always should have been. Make Grand Crusader a Paladin card, and make the text more consistent, and not the RNG shit than it currently is (draw a random Paladin minion, draw a 4-cost Paladin card, or Discover a Paladin card).
In exchange for these buffs to our Control deck, I offer you Mysterious Challenger up for a complete gutting to Magma Rager Tier usability. And since we get two new Paladin cards out of this deal, you can make the newly gutted Mysterious Challenger a neutral, and the useless Warhorse Trainer can be the other neutral.

Wow, what a shit year for Hearthstone.
Looks like January 29th and October 20th were the best days in Hearthstone this year, and all the rest were "How to kill a game."
Maybe they should consider why everyone was so happy over the Reno Jackson release and the short term Control meta we had. Paladin hate even dissappeared during that 2 weeks, as the Control decks counter Secret Paladin hard. Since then we have devolved back to full aggro meta and
all the threads are filled with piss and vinegar again.Just stop with the fucking aggro, nerf the cards that need it. Start supporting Control decks a whole hell of a lot more.

Don' woray, they certainly have a direction: GET MONEY.
That and make games as
funaddictive as possible to increase money flow, release games unfinished and rely on modders to finish the product so less is spent on production to increase money, save base features for expansions to steal even more money, focus on phone-users and casuals to increase money, don't balance to get even more money. There is a clear direction, and that is what is killing modern video games, not the lack of one.
