posted a message on Wild Seems To Be In Great Shape

Pirate Rogue is an efficient deck to climb from d5 to legend, but also a bit boring and one-dimensional. I assume once the make legend many players simply switch to more 'fun' decks

posted a message on Nerf Nagas in to the ground pls. Its been long enough already.

What is the point of this thread literally half a day AFTER they were, you know, nerfed to the ground?

Funny enough, Open the Waygate is currently meta, it's very one-sided fun though;) One would say that it competes with Alignment Druid for the most toxic deck to face in wild ..:P

posted a message on Control Curse Lock vs Quest hunter = Bad Time

It's a joke of a deck that loses to everything. But especially to control it loses in humiliating fashion: They just keep 9 cards in hand each turn and watch them eventually die to fatigue unable to execute their plan

posted a message on Totally blocked at diamond 5

I think people recommending you to try DH thought you were talking about standard, failing to realize that this post is in the wild section. I'd say don't as DH sucks big time in wild.

Anyway, regarding your initial post: Quest Hunter is not in a great spot right now. One reason is popularity of mech decks (casting a damage spell on a divine shield minion doesn't damage it making it tougher to progress your quest). As for Pirate Warrior it is now outclassed by the better pirate deck, which is Pirate Rogue, which would be my recommendation for a deck to easily climb to legend with (fast games, more than 50% WR). Below is the list I have played a bit

    ### Pirate Rogue
    # Class: Rogue
    # Format: Wild
    #
    # 2x (1) Buccaneer
    # 2x (1) Filletfighter
    # 1x (1) Patches the Pirate
    # 2x (1) Prize Plunderer
    # 2x (1) Secret Passage
    # 2x (1) Southsea Deckhand
    # 2x (2) Cavern Shinyfinder
    # 2x (2) Fogsail Freebooter
    # 2x (2) Parachute Brigand
    # 2x (2) Ship's Cannon
    # 2x (3) Cutlass Courier
    # 2x (3) Pufferfist
    # 2x (3) Swordfish
    # 2x (4) Dread Corsair
    # 2x (5) Cutting Class
    # 1x (6) Mr. Smite

Some people run 2x Frenzied Felwing instead of either Cutlass Courier or Fogsail Freebooter

posted a message on just got dealt 48 damage by diablo in pvp

I assume your PvP match was quite long, more than 10 rounds in total right? In the latest patch a change was introduced to mercenaries PvP where after round 10 all characters take double damage (to avoid stalemate situations in some healer vs healer endgames), which means that critical damage now hits 4x. Diablo has this ability that deals 12 damage to a character, but also make it take critical damage that turn, which means that it effectively deals 24, which again means that after round 11 it deals 48

This interaction indeed sucks, but I doubt Curse Lock is doing much better against....well pretty much any other deck

posted a message on how many merc packs do you have?

With the new task system I finished all tasks on all mercs within ~10 days. Sitting on 136 packs waiting for the new bunch of mercs released. Playing very little, just to get my 1  win per day

posted a message on They are removing buddies

I think buddies were not healthy for the game, but we are all kind of high-roll junkies and got addicted to the power plays that were possible. Now the game slowed down a lot and we are missing this 'high'

posted a message on 6 years after last Hearthstone log in - RenoLock

    Some suggestions from my side:

    • Since it's a Reno deck then if you have them you should definitely run Zephrys the Great and Kazakus
    • As mentioned alreday, Rustrot Viper is better than Ooze as it can be an 1-mana draw 1 in matchups where you don't care about weapon tech
    • Smothering Starfish is overall better than Ironbeak Owl I'd say
    • Gigafin is by far the most busted card Warlock received this expansion. I play some Renolock too and it has won me more games than all other 29 cards combined. Given how powerful it is, it is worth running Seadevil Stinger to be able to cheat it out early. Since we run 2 murlocs that are so powerful, it's probably worth running Gorloc Ravager to tutor them. As a 3rd murloc I am running Mutanus the Devourer

posted a message on I still think DH hero power is wrong

The DH hero power has a fair cost for its effect. It also fits the class identity very well. DH is overtuned right now (primarily due to Drek'Thar as well as Multi-Strike), but its hero power is really not the issue. Also interaction is at the highest it has been the last year right now. We got rid of a ton of uninteractive OTK-style decks in the last rotation and we finally have a meta where board matters. As I said DH is overtuned, but it's definitely not uninteractive. Its two best cards (mentioned above) are the very definition of this. The first one drops minions on the board, the 2nd one allows it to use its hero to make trades and fight for board control. It doesn't get more interactive than that.
