Play more than two of the archetype, and sacrificial pact will barely effect you. Oh, and a niche card that almost never saw play in the past isn't going to get nerfed. Accept it.

Because it's a shaman card.

money rules my friend. Having one card and being able to play a lot of stuff with it is commercially not beneficial.
I disagree. Having that one card to allow people to get a taste of the decks, in non optimized form, might well get them to want to play that deck all the time, or modify it to be better, which would then allow for more sales to more people :)

Adjacent...neighbor...adjacent...neighbor...
Why can't they be consistent with the wording?
Then I remember this is HS. Consistency is almost out of the question.

So do we know if Amazing Reno's Battlecry removes the minions from the graveyard as well (ie cannot be resurrected)? Or is it just a silence and destroy effect?

Most people being positive and wishing for a fresh new meta without 1turn kill games... and then there are those cowards trying to configure freeze mage even before release ..... Pfff you will get rekt hard this time.
Hey, I also disliked facing freeze mage back in the days, because it just stood behind Ice Blocks and hurled Fireballs at my face, but what's wrong about theorycrafting a combo deck? You think people doing this are cowards?
Like, we aren't doing anything illegal or cheesy here. And believe it or not, combo decks are actually healthy for the game, especially when they are NOT otks and offer many ways to interact with them. Against freeze mage paladin can just heal, warriors can armour a lot. And if you are playing a proactive deck, now you have that Dalaran Librarian, who can unfreeze your biggest minions and let them smack the opponent's face.
Freeze mage is a lot fairer to play against now that it has lost its Ice Blocks and ways to generate them (Primordial Glyph). If you want to complain about OTKs, then look at Holy Wrath Paladin (TTK btw), who still has stalling tools like Time Out!s and can inflict 25 damage from nowhere.

Freeze mage isn't an otk archetype, freeze mage is all about strategy, not combos.
You have to preserve your resources and wait for the best moment to use them. Stalling more turns as possible, before dropping damage. It's all about timing!

Agreed. Very stylized, illustrative. Toy-like even. Remember those old, shareware, indie games with bland-looking and generic artwork splashed onto the cover, usually featuring characters and environments that are not even remotely in the game and were sold for dirt cheap? The old GPUs had similar artworks on their boxes, too. The art style reminds me of those cover arts.
None of this is to discredit the artistic style and vision of respective artists, but they are definitely not my cup of coffee and, in my opinion, look paler, undefined and more pastel in comparison to other sets (excluding Descent of Dragons).
Again, my opinion, so feel free to be offended. I cannot create any artwork half as good as these, but that's not my expertise anyway.

This looks more like a custom or fanmade card. Thematically, this expansion is all over the place, so it shouldn't surprise anyone to see a card that supports the hero power mage archetype on top of all the wild Frenzy and class-based spell casting effects. We'll be given the Coldarra Drake with the core set, but so far, it seems to fall short.

Whelp, it will rotate out with the Descent of Dragons.

Among other things like Muster for Battle (in Stand Against Darkness' stead) and Seeping Oozeling for 'deathrattle' support. The nerf to Fiery War Axe should also be reverted in my opinion, but it's a low priority change.
What do you think, fellers? Should we try to make our voices heard by the tone-deaf Hearthstone team and let the history be decided by them, or are we to fight for our rights...to be able to play the magnificent Azure Drake in standard?

Flavour text reads: This is why Scholomance engineering students prefer C++.
Wonderfully designed for the degenerate token-deathrattle hunter.
