The problem with Ele mage is it lacks a win condition outside of "Value Generation", and in this meta it just doesn't work as well.

Sure, it'll still see play. Hunters and paladins play their 3 mana 3/2's, even without secrets or divine shield buffs. I just wish they made it a 3/3 or at least give it something extra.

Say you make 100 gold a day (60 quest, 30-40 wins + occasionally friend quest, approx 100 gold if you are playing HS normally).

and let's say you make Rank 5, as average active player who is into the game to some point.

Just stopped reading there. I don't want to defend this "F2P crying" because it's really annoying but dude, you have no idea what an "average player" is. Rank 5 is for the top 2% of the players. Making 100 gold a day is insane. It literally takes 2+ hours of play daily. Those aren't average numbers, those are top 2% of the community numbers. 

Even during my most addicted phase of HS gaming I never managed to save up more than 4000 gold for an expansion. I have no idea how you manage to do 12000.

 125 packs gets you nowhere close to "about the whole expansion." you'll get 6/25 legendaries and less than half of all epics, with around 2500 dust in extras if you're lucky. That'll get you a couple more legendaries or several more epics, but still you'll be way short. 

Most people estimate that a complete set requires 250-300 packs.  So even if you don't mind missing "useless legendaries and very worst epics that you don't need," you're going to need 1.5x to 2x as many packs.

Also, your calculations require playing 40 games a day. Even at 5 min a game, that's 3.5 hours a day. At that point its a part-time job, and so not really "free."

How often did you get Bomb Squad from evolving Chain Gang. Now you can easily fix that with just one card.

Ease up there, Richie Rich, not all of us feel like throwing cash at our screens like braindead morons every time something gets announced. Some of us have quality control. This entire promotion is a blatant desperate grab for users, and the fans who really couldn't be bothered being treated like sacks for corporate mosquitoes have every right to complain. I've spent a few hundred dollars on HS this year alone, and even I think this promotion is BS. Take your high horse, and ride it somewhere else. You're not "telling it like it is", you're bragging you have more disposable income and mocking others for not being as much of a stooge as you are.
