I'll be honest. I have piloted this deck from rank 12 to 6 in a couple of days. When it's on it is really tough in this meta. Bloodclaw does work when things all fall in to place early, but it definitely becomes a dead draw late, especially in close games when you can't afford to give up that 5 health.
I like your Dread Corsair idea and I'm going to test it out and I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for an awesome deck!

JMS8888 posted a message on Pirate PalaidnPosted in: Pirate PalaidnBeen having lot of success with his deck in the new meta. Are you finding Bloodclaw is a dead draw at times?

Notice that the Outcast effect of this card is triggered most of the time since you only play this when you are low on cards or you need to disturb your opponent's hand. It's better to read this card as "Both players shuffle their hands into their decks, then they draw 4 cards."

The fact is that most trading are between medium or small minions, which means that Quicksand Elemental is usually able to reduce their Attack to relatively low or 0 that allows your minions to trade with them and survive. The difference between surviving and dying matters much more than how much health they left, and thats what cause the cost of Hunter's Mark is a lot less than Assassinate. This means that under most conditions, Quicksand Elemental works similar to Ace Hunter Kreen on the first turn played that they both helps your minions to trade without dying. The true key point of Ace Hunter Kreen is that its effect works across turns, and that might allow it to take more advantage than Quicksand Elemental in decks.

Quicksand Elemental only saw some experimental play in Highlander Zoolock and never been used in Hunter and Demon Hunter decks. How much would Ace Hunter Kreen be better than Quicksand Elemental then?

Seems like Soulbound Ashtongue might be better than Frazzled Freshman now in some cases.
Also, don't forget that Warlock can also activate this card with healing effects!

Hope that the dual-class cards are not this expansion only. It will be amazing to be kept as an evergreen design for future expansions.

Now Druid can draw this with Juicy Psychmelon. Cool!

Your Bad Luck Albatross text change makes it almost a totally different card, which is highly unlikely in Hearthstone that only Warsong Commander has received such a nerf in history. Most other changes might be reasonable though.

Priest will become busted if they are able to run 2 of this into their deck.

6 mana Skull of Gul'dan is still at a very high power level. Decks that runs this before will still run it with little impact from this nerf.
