posted a message on We Should Really stop Undrestimating Hunter

Twice in a row now, we as a community have severely underestimated the Hunter class and their archetypes. Remember when Spell Hunter was being announced? Everyone thought it was a joke. Even this site believed it, calling the card itself a meme in the reveal (Instead of "A new hunter card has been revealed", it said "A new Hunter meme has been revealed"). And then what happened? Spell Hunter became the biggest set sleeper since Prince Keleseth. Throughout Year of the Raven, Spell Hunter was super dominant (maybe not so much in RR, but still). Then Rise of Shadows began to roll around, and Oblivitron was revealed. People laughed at this card, a 6 mana 3/4. Toast even tweeted saying, and I quote "Hunter and bad legendaries. Name a better duo". It is now a metabreaking deck, able to consistently beat every deck in the meta (barring Token Druid, if you draw like garbage). My point is that we should put a little bit more faith into Hunter in the upcoming expansions.

Watch me eat my words when we hype up Hunter in the next expansion and it turns out to be tier 4.

posted a message on Need help winning with Tempo Rogue
    Quote from dontbemad >>

kind of ridicolous how many wrong advises you get here :D

    let me help you:

there are so many different rogue builds and it is still not clear which is the best one, tempo rogue got a lot of flex spots but I have played more than 300 games wit hthe deck since rotation, playtesting all kind of different cards, climbed from rank 4 to legend and currently sitting at ~ top 500.

Here are cards that suck from my opinion:

    - Sprint:

no don't even play one copy it is totally useless and way to slow

    - Hench Clan Thug:

it plays out poorly with other cards in the deck like f.e. waggle pick on t4, you always want to coin EVIL miscreant t2 and in some scenarios SI7 to clear early board, both plays are way better on curve than playing thug, by the way, EVIL miscreant even made SI7 way worse and you can think about cutting one copy (it's still better than Clan Thug)

    - ooze :

yes, ppl were running a copy of it early days of expansion, now it's clear that it is not worth a slot in tempo rogue - cut it!

    - myras:

yes there are ppl still playing it in some lists but my opinion is that it is pretty useless in most of the match up's since you will have cards and something to play in like 99% of all games, there is almost no scenario where you want to draw you deck, party and miscreant always refills your hand and that's enough so I would not play it at all.

    Fan of knives:

NOPE don't even run one copy , it is way too slow and won't win you the token druid match up! you also don't need more draw.

    Deadly Poison / deckhand package:

I found it to be pretty useless mostly in mirror match ups, I also never missed the burst potetial of this package and t 1 deckhand sucks anyway, in general, you don't have to play anything on t1 , no one drop minions needed at all.

now I go over to cards which I would suggest you to run and which are working out the best for me:

    2 x Sap:

I would never cut a copy of it , it autowins you match up's like mech hunter or any kind of mage and also helps you in a mirror against early edvin.

    EVIL cable rat:

I would always suggest to run at least one copy of it, lackeys are totally OP and more in tempo rogue since they are 1 mana cost cards which always helps you to combo

    Togwaggle:

playing one cable rat also makes your tog way better, I know there are ppl thinking it's a bad card but I would not cut this package at all ! it's always great and helps you to outvalue your opponent in a lot of match up's.

    Greenskin:

core card ! nothing better to Greenskin yout waggle pick on t5!

Vendetta / Hench Clan Burglar / Blink Fox package:

it was the best performing version for me running these 6 cards! 0 mana vendetta on t3 or4 is awesome in the mirror match up since it clears Greenskin or Dread Corsair on curve and allowing you to play a combo card the same turn ! Great package over all, never want to miss it!

hopefully it helps you to build a better version of tempo rogue :)

    BR

I agree with most points in this. I do run one copy of Fan of Knives, and it's helped me in a few matches against Token Druid. I guess just keep it on your sideboard, and stick it in just in case you run into a lot of Druids. On the other hand, I think Myra's Unstable Element is very strong. It can give you that last little bit of burst, and you can even combo it with Chef Nomi for a board that will kill your opponent if he doesn't clear it. It's good because it doesn't die to Warpath, Flamestrike, most Shadowflame and and unstacked Hagatha's Scheme, most of which you can bait out early on anyways. As for Heistbaron Togwaggle, I don't think it's necessary. My reasoning is as follows:

There are 2 Tempo Rogue lists as of yet: one which out values the opponent, and one which just kills them quickly. The slower version is the one that runs Heistbaron Togwaggle, Myra's Unstable Element and Chef Nomi as opposed to the bugle package, which is in the faster version. It looks like you're trying to find a mix of both, which probably won't work out. I prefer the faster version, but either way, you still just 100% need Captain Greenskin.

posted a message on If you're tired of warrior just play mech hunter

This is what this community needs to be like. It's just filled with people crying "I don't like this deck so it should be nerfed". And when people say "Just start playing a good deck that counters it", they say "But I don't want to play a good deck, Pavel got legend with Murloc Mage so I should be able to as well!"

Seriously, just play into your matchups well. When Odd Pally was everywhere, I put a Fan of Knives into my Odd Rogue and just decimated them. Besides, every game isn't always winnable. Sometimes you low roll, and sometimes to low roll a lot. Furthermore, you need a deck that can win! What kind of game do you have if everyone's playing tier 4 decks? I don't know about anyone, but I do not want to be part of that shitshow.

Now the only problem I have with this is that I already spent all my dust on Bomb Warrior and Tempo Rogue, so I have to grind for Nine Lives and an Oblivitron.

posted a message on Rank 1 legend EU Rise of Shadows Never Lackey

In addition, if you have Chef Nomi, it's a massive swing turn if your opponent has just spent a large removal. If you're opponent just played something like Blizzard, Warpath, Brawl, a stacked Hagatha's Scheme, etc, you can play Myra's and drop Nomi for an immediate board presence, which will win you the game if your opponent doesn't react fast enough. I personally prefer Nomi over a Thug, mainly because I find that I win most games even without the Thug anyways.

posted a message on How can you beat this?
    Quote from MatthiasL3791 >>

Boom warrior is the new rogue quest, if I may make a prediction. It's not actually that powerful, and I bet it ends up with a sub 50% winrate. But it is mindlessly easy to pilot, and it sets the meta. Do you have enough healing or armor gain to out last the bombs? Can you get there fast enough as agro before 4-5 bombs go off?

My Lucentbark druid deck for example, was designed entirely with one matchup in mind. If you can't beat bomb warrior, don't come to play.

I predict the wrench gets nerfed. I don't particularly want or need it nerfed, but the deck is going to limit creativity. Warrior has dragon synergies, rush synergies, mech synergies, we should be seeing at least two or three warrior decks. All we have is bomb warrior.

Edit: it will be nerfed to battlecry: shuffle a bomb into your opponents deck. You heard it hear first

The reason why it's so strong is that Warrior got absolutely insane support for archetypes throughout Year of the Raven. The issue was that Warrior never had a win condition. How do you win with Rush Warrior, by playing Akali, the Rhino? How do you win with Dragon Warrior, with War Master Voone? How do you win with Mech Warrior, with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius? Have you noticed how strong some of the cards are for Warrior (like Town Crier, Militia Commander, Darius Crowley, Emberscale Drake, Smolderthorn Lancer, etc.) and yet they don't see play? It's because you have no way of damaging your opponent and bringing them down to 0 health consistently and efficiently. Blizzard realised this, and created the Bomb mechanic so resolve this issue. And now that it does have a win condition, you can pretty much pad it with any support archetype and you have a strong deck. This, like Cubelock, is an example of good game design. You take a bunch of cards that, on they're own, are pretty bad, but when you make the right deck with the right cards, you end up with something greater than it's parts.

And besides, Bomb Warrior isn't the only deck in standard. Statistics (HSreplay) shows that Control Warrior and Dragon Warrior are both tier 2 decks, and have a 50%+ winrate. The reason you're saying that Bomb Warrior is the only deck in standard is either due to confirmation bias, or fact that Control Warrior and Dragon Warrior are less popular in lower ranks.

EDIT: I apologise if I sounded rude in the last statement, I don't mean to say that "you're rank 50 OMEGALUL" or anything, I'm just trying to draw conclusions based on what HSreplay tells me. Seriously, I don't mean any disrespect, you're probably a better player than me anyways.

How is Heistbaron Togwaggle working for you so far? I feel like it's a win more card rather than a crucial piece to winning in Rogue right now. That's why i have held off on crafting him so far, he does look fun though. . . And that's mainly why I play nowadays anyway.

He's not a win-more card by definition, he just gives you a strong play. It's like Playing Chef Nomi after Myra's Unstable Element, it's not a win-more card, it's just a card that you may as well play if you're going to run into that situation a lot. If you're into Tempo Rogue, I would recommend Togwaggle. His art and entrance may not be the best, but it's still a strong card. For comparison, Tempo decks without Togwaggle have a 5% lower winrate than those that do.

P.s. if you do craft him, pick Zarog's Crown. Every time. Don't even think about the other treasures.

posted a message on What rank do I need to reach for rank 5 next season?

No matter what rank you are (assuming you aren't legend rank), you will lose 4 ranks at the end of the season. If you're at rank 20, you'll drop to rank 24. If you're at rank 14, you'll drop down to rank 18. To guarantee that you'll be at rank 5 next season, you have to hit rank 1.

Notes : A poisoned mana crystal appears as a red mana crystal at the end of your mana tray. When you spend it in any manner, your hero takes 2 damage. After it has been used, it goes away. For example, if you had 6 mana crystals, the poisoned one would appear as the 6th mana crystal. If you cast Blizzard , your hero would take 2 damage. However, if you cast Blast Wave instead, you won't take the 2 damage, and the poisoned crystal would carry over to the next turn.

P.s. I realise the grammar error in the card, but I already submitted it, so there's no changing it now.

I am very tired of all these brawls that are just some variation of "here are some random cards"

and I dont think I am alone

If you want to netdeck, go ahead and play some other mode. This place is for people who can find the strategy in the most extreme chance circumstances.

     I found the arena player.

So, it's the child of Deathlord and Dirty Rat? I like it. This card works against almost every combo deck except Gallery Priest because of their BS resurrection mechanics (To all Priest players, I sincerely apologise, I just don't like that deck), and is pretty powerful against aggro since you're more likely to pull a smaller minion. I like it.

It's an interesting effect, but I think it's just too slow. Like Wilfred Fizzlebang, a really cool effect that seems pretty strong, but is just too slow to gain much benefit from it. Unless Warlock gets a way to "hide" it's minions or the meta is hideously slow, this probably won't see much play, or at least won't be deck-defining.
