    Does Menagerie Magician count?

If so, then the next one is an understatted buff minion.

Really? I find that Magic Dart Frog helps so much against decks like Token Druid (against Dreamway Guardians, Acornbearer, Wispering Woods, ets) or Mech Hunter (against Mecharoo and the 3/1 dude that summons microbots). I suppose it would be better to go halfway and perhaps play one copy each of Questing Adventurer and Magic Dart Frog

Wouldn't Sea Giant be good in this deck because you've got so many tokens from Vex Crow? I'm asking mainly because I don't have Archmage Antonidas or Sandbinders.

I actually think that mech+secret paladin is quite strong. Once you can stabilise, you can easily overrun the game with your endless mechs. You can tech in some other secrets like Noble Sacrifice instead of Hidden Wisdom, not just to make it cheaper but to help you against aggressive decks.

It's just Murphy's Law. Once you switch to Tempo Rogue or Miracle Mage or something to counter Mech Hunter, you'll start facing Control Shamans and other Control Warriors. Nothing you can do about it :/

I personally prefer focusing on the deathrattle part of mechs in Hunter, such as [acrd]Mechanical Whelp[/card] and Oblivitron so that I can get insane value from Nine Lives. I don't know, I haven't tried this list yet, but the slower one just felt better to me. Will try though.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 9.17 - Discussion Topic

Does the card have to involve the +5 attack mechanic, or just a chicken-based card? Besides, it's really hard to find good art for chickens. Here are my ideas:

*Slaps roof of chicken* This bad boy can fit so many bombs in it.

If not, here's another idea with a bonus reference:

EditI just realised that Revenge Squad is a powercreep on Snake Trap. I suppose I could change it to something like "summon 3 angry chickens and attack it" to better represent the Cucco Angry Chicken Revenge Squad. Thoughts?

posted a message on Showdown at Blackrock Mountain Is This Week's Brawl

At least you're not getting tilted (as far as I can tell). You are likely to lose the early game as Rag, but if you don't draw the cards you need for the early game, just spamming your Magma Ragers actually put a lot of pressure on the board, since then Nefarius has to rely on his spells from his hero power to remove them. After turn 6, you can easily establish strong control over the board given that the Hero Power doesn't whiff and go face, and even still, all your attack-heavy minions will force unfavourable trades for Nefarius.

From Nefarius' perspective, you want to Hero Power as often as possible and get stats on the board quickly. Another thing to watch out for is Coren Direbrew, at turn 9 he can clear your board and develop a 4/8. If he plays Coren early, be sure to remove him ASAP.

In my opinion, Nefarius is severely disadvantaged against Rag in this brawl, but it is definitely winnable if you can establish early board control.

posted a message on Do i have to give up with priest?

Priest was God tier throughout Year of the Mammoth, from Dragon Priest to Big Priest to Razakus. All classes have their time to shine and their time in the gutter. Warrior saw 0 play in Year of the Mammoth and a little bit of play in Year of the Raven through Odd Warrior, and now it's finally Warrior's time to shine in Year of the Dragon. Likewise, Priest got shafted in Year of the Raven with very few competitively viable decks in Year of the Raven, and again in Year of the Dragon. Everything doesn't have to be tier 1 all the time.

You refusing to play what's good and sticking to your fringe decks out of principle is plain stupid. I guarantee you there is no card game where you don't have to netdeck. The whole point of a META (Most Effective Tactics Available) is that the strongest decks will be played by the most people. Think logically: if there's a good deck, are people more likely to play it? Yes. It's common sense.

"But there must be some way to get my favourite deck to top tier because I like it and Team 5 is a stupid development team because they don't adhere to my opinions which clearly matter more than anyone else's!"

This is just stupid. Want to win? Don't play Priest. Want to play Priest? Don't expect to win. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

posted a message on Rise of Shadows Card Nerfs - What Do Pros Want To See Smacked?

I like winning so I always craft tier 1 decks, but then the downside is that I'm always sad when nerfs are announced :(

However, one thing I take away from this thread is that professional players have their own personal agendas, mannerisms or biases, most of which are relatively unjustifiable, just like any player. And like any other player, more often than not these opinions aren't justifiable with concrete facts, unless the interaction is actually mechanically or functionally broken (think Shudderwock pre-nerf). The only real difference between these professional players is that they probably play more than the average player. This doesn't mean that their opinions mean more, they are just as qualified (or unqualified) as any other person's. Take Bunnyhoppor for example, he thinks that Edwin VanCleef should be HoF'd, and yet the rest of the community thinks the opposite. Just because an "expert" says that a card must be nerfed doesn't mean it 100% should be, it's just another opinion to through into the landfill.

That said, I would have called for a Conjurer's Calling nerf, but I guess I'll have to learn to deal with it.

No, they said 1500 packs each hour, for a TOTAL of 48000 packs over the four days. You might want to read the thing again.

DAMN!? it's worse than i tought

Hope this game end soon together with Blizzard.

What game? No company can start giving out small loans of a million dollars to it's players, not even Respawn. Stop complaining about free stuff and just accept it. Blizzard put it perfectly clearly, but it is weird that there's such a big delay for the same people getting packs at different times. Perhaps there's some issue with getting the rewards to the right people on the database.

posted a message on Bloodbloom's potential nerf and the impact on the wild meta

I agree with the fact that Bloodbloom is not the target here. Why nerf one card that has it's uses in other decks, punishing other people that don't play DH Warlock, instead of nerfing what's actually causing the problem? What this tells us is that Blizzard wants to see DH Warlock become an archetype in standard, and that there are other synergistic cards in mind for the upcoming expansion(s). My biggest issue with Blizzard right now is that they always use such ambiguous phrases like "it's something we're interested in" or "we're looking into it". Don't get me wrong, I'm super glad that they're being at least a little transparent with us, but I don't see why they aren't giving us the whole spiel. Like when they previously said that they aren't going to work on new game modes, yeah, it's sad to hear, but at least we knew not to expect anything. Saying "we're interested in it" doesn't tell us anything.

That being said, I stand for not nerfing Zilliax and I will never leave this position. I've just come to the conclusion that such people just cry because a card is unfun to play against in the one scenario that it's amazingly good in. Like when people said to nerf Stonetusk Boar. Fucking Stonetusk Boar, because APM Priest and Quest Rogue existed (that weren't even that popular, and didn't even have a good winrate). These are the people that have gone past the "nerf every single card until all that's left is beta Hearthstone" phase and into "I don't like any card under any circumstance and I'm going to make angry posts about the devs pretending I'd be a better dev and posts about me leaving the game and everyone should agree with me and feel bad that they lost one player".

posted a message on Advice on Mech Hunter

Mecharoo is not a good card in this deck. Sure, it's an extra early game, but it's a dead draw and it messes up your Oblivitron and Nine Lives pool. You 100% need Zilliax, it's just probably the best card ever printed. Multi-Shot is not that great especially when you already have Marked Shot. Secret Plan isn't that great either, I prefer Springpaw. I don't like Venomancer or Necromechanic, but if they work for you then go for it.

If you want some tech, I like to run a few Deadly Shots to take care of turn 3 giants, and it's pretty good against druid for turn 4 Archmage Vargoth as well. The issue against Druid is that you have no good way of dealing with a wide board, so you have to slowly clear the wisps while developing a massive board through Oblivitron and Mechanical Whelp. Against Khadgar Mage, you have to apply pressure constantly. You know they don't have Polymorph, so go ham with your magnetics. If you keep putting pressure, you will be in a spot where your opponent can't just play Giant without tanking a load of damage. If they do get their combo off, it's near impossible for your deck to come back unless you just have lethal.
