I was going over old posts and creations, and I saw that the card creation competition just turned three years old. I figured it would be fun to go back and post some old concepts from way back then, and then have everyone laugh at me about how stupid I was to think that these might be good cards.
My first competition entry, from week 2 (0 mana spells). It would be bullshit with cubelock now lol. I remember being quite proud of this back in the day.
Anyone else care to share some of their very early card designs (if you can find them?)
Going for a "Curse of the Mummy's Tomb" theme here, where you don't want to go grave robbing in this neighborhood. Please ignore the fact that in this case though, it would in fact be the mummies stealing from you. First question is: Is it balanced?
Not much to say about Terrorweb Snatcher. It can provide insane value if it manages to finish off a big minion. Works exceptionally well with buffs.
Bump. Judging by the lack of feedback this my not be interesting enough.
Hm... I just saw your Crypt Lord and realized how similar my Haunted Priest is to it; yours seems more powerful though. Does it count minions that attacked into it and died or only the ones it attacked and killed?
Based off of how it's worded, I'd say even minions that died running into it would be summoned. Giant Sand Worm specifies that it has to attack. Terrorweb Snatcher doesn't specify attacking.

I really do like Darkshore Imp. I think it's a really good card that's very nicely balanced. Less excited about Terrorweb Snatcher, which is just a different statted Frostmourne as a dude.
This is what I'm going for. Need some double checking for text/rule. Been waiting for cards like this forever.
Just minor nitpicking here, but I think is should be "If" instead of "Whenever." other than that, fucking fantastic. curious if Divine Spirit + Inner Fire into self damage would leave you with a 10 health hero with 10 attack?
So, I wanted to do a couple of things with this card. first, was to give priest some Shadowform support. The second was to give them a little help in the 3-drop department. While 1/5 for 3 is not particularly good, it synergizes with Inner Fire, which is always a good thing. finally, I just wanted there to be another low-cost legendary that is actually not bad to play. 30 legendary decks need some support too.
Swiftmend Sapling would be a cheap heal for druid. Compared to Flash Heal, it can't be used on your Hero and it can't be used offensively (Druids don't get Auchenai Soulpriest). Stone Elemental would be the kind of sticky Taunt we need to stop aggro in Standard with the departure of Sludge Belcher. I balanced it around the theory that Deathrattles only count for half of their value in the mana budget. And it's flavor is based off of all those stone elementals and such in WoW that split in two when you kill them.
They seem fairly balanced, but I prefer the Stone Elemental.

maybe best in buff paladin?

One thing The Lich King lacks is card draw. Death Grip and Army of the Dead sort of count, but aren't dedicated draw. here's my response to that:

You know it's a real shame, because the clear winner was on r/customhearthstone just a couple weeks ago:
I was half tempted to shamelessly plagiarize the hell out of it.

The teaser image didn't include the lower jaw, but I think I'm still gonna call him Druid of the Khala.
