Hello everybody! This topic is for discussion of our "Pawn Shop" competition. To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.
So, without further ado, have fun and get creating!
Swiftmend Sapling would be a cheap heal for druid. Compared to Flash Heal, it can't be used on your Hero and it can't be used offensively (Druids don't get Auchenai Soulpriest). Stone Elemental would be the kind of sticky Taunt we need to stop aggro in Standard with the departure of Sludge Belcher. I balanced it around the theory that Deathrattles only count for half of their value in the mana budget. And it's flavor is based off of all those stone elementals and such in WoW that split in two when you kill them.

They seem fairly balanced, but I prefer the Stone Elemental.

Personally i undecided between 3 cards: minion, spell or weapon.
The minion is a dragon with a mechanic similar to Volcanic Drake, i know that didn't see much play and it's vulnerable to silence but i like the idea.
The spell is another polymorph for mage although i didn't find a better img or not sure about the name either.
I like the spell. I came up with the same idea awhile ago, so that may be why (I called it "Polymorph: Sheep?" as a joke). It needs to cost more than 3, though, because it is probably better than Polymorph in a number of situations, since it gives you an AOE in addition to the Polymorph. 4 mana probably works because it also makes it harder to play in situations where you have minions out already.
I like the weapon second best. It's probably at about the right power level. The dragon has problems though. Mainly in that it is too weak. You have to play it when 3 minions have died to get it to the point where you are getting your mana's worth from it. And if you draw this in the late game, it will pretty much just suck. Sometimes you could get some great plays with it, but most of the time you will be stuck in a position where you need to play it at a bad time and you get a 3/3 for 3, which isn't good.
Ok so I've had these card ideas floating around im my personal collection for a while, hopefully now it their time to shine:
Bogspike Terror - Punishing tech card that can be used to stop game changing minions your opponent may have cold.
Deathbringer Saurfang - Slow but can be devastating in Control decks if left alone. Also recently recieved a slight buff due to the cost change of Ironbeak Owl
Corrupted Blessing - A secret I felt was needed as Repentance can be useful only some of the time, and Equality/Consecration combo may not be available if you need to take care of a minion, so this prevents that that problem.
This card is way too good for it's cost. If 3 Beasts have died, it's already above curve. Just play it after two Unleash the Hounds and it will give crazy value, not even counting any other beasts you're running (Most Hunters will probably run two Fiery Bats, now, IMO). It should cost 4 or 5, I think. Also, if you want to make it a Legendary, you need to give it a Legendary name. Mystical Tiger isn't a proper name. You can just make one up, but do change it.

I and are number of other people are against hand attacks, so the sporebat would be a bad idea. This would be extremely unfun to play against and would be an auto-include in every deck in the same way Big Game Hunter and Ironbeak Owl were. With Saurfang, I get what you are trying to do here, but the wording is really awkward. You could say something like: "Deathrattle: Resummon this minion and give it +1/+1 for each time it has died this game." Could be an interesting card as an improved Dreadsteed. Playing it initially is a huge tempo loss, though, so I think it might be kinda weak, actually, and that this is inherent in the design.
I actually like Corrupted Blessing the best. I think it may not fit in Paladin, though, because it is too good for 1 mana. If you compare it to Repentance, it is almost strictly better. I think it needs a restriction on it's trigger, somehow.

I agree with Nurgling about these cards. Direct hand or deck attacks are anti-fun. Corrupted blessing makes more sense for a Mage card, as its a powerful effect and transform is already their thing. Saurfang is neat and similar to an idea I've tried awhile ago, bough I used it with Gamon.

Right now, 2 options would be to 1.) Give the Leper Gnome Taunt or Divine Shield (or even both) or 2.) Turn it into a Leper Gnome and add another copy of LG to their hand. This way, Pally's can either run a much easier Repentance, or a much more punishing Corrupted Blessing, depending on what card they can use on it.
For your cards, I like both since they would both be very useful, but for more curb appealing purposes, I think it would be safer to use Stone Elemental, only because the amount of crazy ideas posted on submission might cover over a much valuable Swiftmend Sapling.

I think you should go with Divine Shield. That would fit the Paladin theme best and would probably be balanced. If they actually put out a 1 mana minion to trigger the effect, they would be gaining value, though. And Divine Shield is more valuable than Taunt.
I've got 2 ideas so far, and looking for some feedback. Let me know what you think!
The sha should be somewhere around 6-7 mana at least, it's a better Dreadsteed that's neutral and only costs one right now, so as far as balance goes it's grossly OP.

Forgive us, the example list doesn't yet include the cards that were just revealed today. >.<

Firstly: How do Leper Gnome and Mekgineer Thermaplugg fit under the rules?
Secondly: My ideas!
Feedback is appreciated as always!

This has to be the most open ended contest I've seen yet. I also didn't see Quartermaster in that long list. Would he be considered an example?
Edit: nevermind I found him

The weapon is pretty straight forward, summons Argent Squire, i assume it's balanced.
Webspinner for context.
I am pretty sure this card is balanced, and would do good things for control rogue I think. I just don't know how much you guys like it.
