Combos nicely with Gift of LuminanceTopsy Turvy can also make the card have full health.

In control priest, I sideboard ooze, steamcleaner and Reno. It's great, three tech cards in one slot! Had a match against big mage that got three ignites off their runes of the archmage and being able to remove them with steam cleaner is the only reason I won.

posted a message on Griffin Rotating - Top and Bottom cards

So with the next expac being announced and rotation coming, I figured this would be a good time to say goodbye to Year of the Griffin. What mess that year was, amirite? Still, it could be fun to list out some of our most and least favorites from those three sets. Below are my picks for the cards that I liked to use the most and disliked seeing the most in no particular order, which is not to say the best or worst cards. Just my personal feelings; don't hurt me!
    Forged in the Barrens!
    Woo!:
    Lilypad Lurker
Not going to lie, some of these picks will be chosen based on art and I love the way this card looks. Plus, the elemental tribe is probably my favorite with the whole chaining turn thing.
    Xyrella
Everyone's favorite waifu of the year's reoccurring characters! Plus healing up and clearing the board just makes me feel warm and fuzzy, which is something we might see again on this list...
    Primal Dungeoneer
What two Shaman cards!? Yeah, I was playing a lot of shaman at the time, and this card was a godsend. Shaman had some notoriously bad card draw, and this let me have a lot of fun with my elementals.
    Boo!:
    Far Watch Post
Very few cards make me go "Man, my opponent hates fun." as much as this one. Objectively, it's not that annoying beyond the feelsbadman.
    Refreshing Spring Water
Admittedly, this card stopped being annoying once we were finally free from casino mage, but it was still draw cards for free. Boo.
    Tamsin Roame
I wasn't sure if I was going to include her, since it was mainly cards used with her that felt like the problem. But I have had many people abusing her in duels lately, so here she is.
    Honorable Mention: Mutanus the Devourer
Like, I was glad this card existed, but I would have been happier if it didn't feel like it was necessary for a card like this to exist. Plus I blame this card for Patchwerk becoming a thing.

    United in Stormwind!
Woo! (AKA, tradable is a good mechanic):
    Shard of the Naaru
Is it really powercreep if Mass Dispel sucks? One mana to tell your opponent's minions to shut the hell up would only be better if it squelched the hero as well.
    City Tax
"All are equal under the light!" + "Bet you can't do this!" + this card = No enemies and full health. But hey, your imps were really cool, sorry about that.
    Rustrot Viper
Because sometimes other people play paladin and they need to be punished. Don't even feel bad when it's played against me. Just like: that's fair.
Boo! (This was going to be three quests...):
    Ignite
Why did mage need an infinitely reusable kill spell when they have so much card draw? Just... ugh.
    Runed Mithril Rod
Were you going to pay for all those cards you drew? No? Okay then...
    Mr. Smite
    GO F*** YOURSELF!
    (DIS)Honorable Mention: All the quests.
Okay, some of them weren't that bad. I don't think pally quest ever hurt anyone! But my bottom three were going to be mage, warlock and warrior quest, and I can see a lot of people wanting to add hunter, priest or shaman depending on their personal saltiness. Seriously, I think each one was nerfed at some point or another. Rest is piss.

    Fractured in Alterac!
    Woo!:
    Lightforged Cariel
Look, weapon removal is a thing, guys. Just use it if it's that much a problem, geez! Sidenote, I am going to miss the callouts the heroes have once they rotate.
    Spirit Guide
I mentioned that some cards have art that just appeal to me, and this is another one. Plus I like the tutor effect more than if it was just draw two spell.
    Sleetbreaker
Was going to be this the Bru'kan hero, and I already picked Cariel on this list. Still, I love windchill as it's my ideal cantrip and this card give me one with a body attached. Just an easy pick and can save your ass on a top deck.
    Boo!:
    Wildheart Guff
    ...ugh.
    Tamsin's Phylactery
Again, this card would have been fine if it wasn't for awful OTK decks. Coincidentally, Cyanide would be delicious for sweetener if it didn't kill me.
    Snowfall Graveyard
What's with this set and enabling deathrattle based OTKs?
Honorable Mention: Drek'Thar and Vanndar Stormpike
I guess that honor farm event was alright. Could have been better, but it gave free legendaries so...

Anyways! That's it for me, what about you? Got opinions, of course you do! I did six or more cards for each, but feel free to just through out any particulars that you will miss or be happy to see leave. Or if you just want to tell me that I am dumb or wrong, that works too. I've always wanted to do one of these lists, but was too lazy to bother.

posted a message on Patchwerk destroys a Horsemen in the deck

If this was a physical card game with an actual graveyard, then almost assuredly the deathrattle would be phrased "If the other three are in your graveyard" rather than "died this game". In which case having horsemen sent from your hand or deck to the graveyard would actual count the way OP thought. Not having a proper graveyard is one of the more disappointing aspects of hearthstone on a mechanical level.

Sure, I can get that. I am just saying that if they really wanted a hard and fast rule of "Thou shall not generate on the field a copy of a minion with Colassal." then those bitter wild tears would have been avoided.

    Quote from Xauriel >>

Evolve was a thing before the Mini set, just not as popular and it wasnt possible to evolve into colossals.

Blizz just forgott about that rule with the new discover evolve spell.

So it was a bug fix and not a nerf.

You cant generate colossals, it is a rule. You can discover them (to your hand) but not onto the board.

Wasn't all of wild crying about priests doing that very thing with neptulon?

posted a message on Nerf Speculation

Not necessarily a prediction, since blizz just likes to adjust numbers with their nerfs, but I would like to see shockspitter change to:

"Deal 1 damage for each time your hero attacked while this card was in hand."

That way the card doesn't start charging up until drawn or generated, meaning they have to choose between keeping shockspitters in their opening hand, and thus not being able to discover more later, or not being able to build up their damage for a while. Makes it so they can't use devouring swarm to generate another burst, as well. Might kill the card completely though, outside of a dedicated combo deck, so maybe put it back down to 2 mana?

posted a message on Possible change to Astalor

There a few ways to get creative and change the card, depending on which interaction you want killed. The easiest way to kill the brann interaction would just be to get rid off all the battlecries and make them manathirsts. Does make the cards weaker to play on curve, but shrug.
As for shadowstep, that is a lot harder to kill. You could try something like making the 8 mana one have Manathirst 10: Deal another 8 damage and Astalor dies. That only stops them from shadowstepping the final form, through. You could buff them all by giving each form Can't be targeted by spells, also finally keyword that to Elusive or Shroud or anything.
You could make all of them neutral spells, like sunwell, that summon the bodies as vanilla minions. That would destroy all those interactions and open a few new ones, such as the shaman quest and mage owl and that other legendary. More of a sideways move, I suppose.

posted a message on Immune minions.

In many ways, immune reminds me of MtG's protection mechanics. Part of protection was the immunity of damage, enchantment or targeting from the specified source, in the case of immune it would be similar to Protection from Enemies. The last part of protection involves blocking, which doesn't really translate to hearthstone, and is where things get inverted. In mtg, a creature attacks a player, who may choose to block the attack with a creature of their own. If the blocking creature had protection, then it would take no damage and deal it normally. If the attacking creature had protection, then it could not be blocked and hit the defended player directly. Since blocking doesn't work this way in hearthstone, I feel it makes sense that immune works differently, otherwise you might be stuck with a system involving immune taunt minions protecting face.

posted a message on New Warlock Epic Card Revealed - Shallow Grave

Using  Amorphous Slime to discard Dar'Khan Drathir then hitting it with and summoning Drakkari Enchanter is a nice three card combo for 24 lifesteal face damage, but might not be enough to make it work.

posted a message on This is quite ironic

I find it really odd to see both OTK and Disruption labeled as toxic in the same post. It is common for someone who hates combo decks to complain about them, or for someone who loves them to complain about disruption. Not liking both takes things a step farther. Not only does one not like combo decks, but also don't want to use the specific tools to counter them. It's like hating token aggro but refusing to use cheap aoe.

I know that people argue that combo decks cause the game to become an either or situation where they either play their wincon or you win by denying it, but the thing is you didn't invoke that situation by including a disruption card in your deck. They choose to place their hopes on one card and allowed themselves to lose to one card in return.

As to the question of "Is the game worse off having high impact wincons?", that's just a matter of how powercrept it's gotten. Both the cards that kill your opponent from full health and the cards that can prevent that have gotten stronger. I actually think that introducing both both Theotar and Denathrius was a good move

posted a message on LITERALLY SICK OF THIS RNG CODING

Of course you are going to lose when you are on a winning streak. Not to would be more of a statistical anomaly. Let's do some bad statistics while assuming you have 75% win rate. That's 1 loss in four games. Even three wins in a row starts to feel like an outlier when you think of it like that and most decks have much less of a win rate then that.

Also, salt post for the salt thread. :P
