Greetings ladies and gentlemens. My name is FirePaladin and I’m mostly Wild player. I have big experience with a lot of card games but I stick to Hearthstone where I not only play for fun, but also hit the highest ranks multiple times with a multiple deck archetypes. You may know me from my Reno Mage build, Boomsday Control Warrior or Friday Wild Fun segment that I was making for a while on this site. Let me introduce you to new segment dedicated to Wild which is dedicated to Wild underdogs. It is dedicated to the decks that have ton of potential and are at least Tier 2-worthy but are overlooked because most of the community doesn't play them.
Today I want you to introduce to Reno Priest build. The first and only Highlander deck that got nerfed. Thats how powerfull it was. And it still is. It just needs good piloting. Of course we are talking about Razakus Priest aka Reno OTK Priest. The fearsome force worth to be recognised with. The one that kept Cubelocks in check when Kobold and Catacombs expansion came out.
This specifically build version si aimed at 2 things: Negotiate the Raza nerf as much as possible and negotiate the tech cards. Dirty Rat needs to pull exactly Spawn of Shadows in order to ruin your gameplan. As long as you have it, you can archieve 30 dmg OTK without Raza still(When you have discount from Emperror of course). Skulking Geist doesn't hurt you that much because you have only 2 1 cost spells in your deck. You have coins from Gilded Gargoyle and you can make 2 1 mana spells with Brann+Kazakus combo( which is also powerfull if you decide to make 5 mana or 10 mana potions). Mirage Caller is quite important minion since it can be used to cycle faster, discount your hand with Emperror, or even heal for more with double Priest of the Feast. There are a few cards that are suprsinigly good and which I want to point out. These are Explosive Sheep, Divine Hymn, Gilded Gargoyle and Twilight's Call. Turns out that by adding them into build that is looking for OTK is amazing. Divine Hymn is miles better than Binding Heal and not only because it is 2 mana so its less vulnerable to Geist, but also because it is way more vertisalle. If you go far maximum OTK potential gainst some Warrior decks or Druids, then you need to remember 2 things: You have to have 30 health in order to OTK your opponent for 60+ and you need to discount your hand 2 times with Emperror trigger. Then you can do this comboe: (2 Mind blasts,2 3 dmg 1 mana Kaza potions, and then heropower+inspire shenanigans.)- Assuming that you've played Spawn of Shadowsdiscounted to 2 mana, you have at least 8 Inspire triggers potentially.
Decks Strenghts and Weaknesses
Overall this deck is a really solid option against Aggro and Control. Priest board clears and draw options are sometimes on broken levels and OTK finisher is still powerfull, however it struggles against Combo Druids. A lot. Its not suprising since they got one of the most broken cards in the history: Juicy Psychmelon. Just because of Druiids there is a Dirty Rat: which means that it is autowin against TogAzalina Druid and might be potentially game winning against Star Aligner Druid. Be careful with it though and play it in right time.
No, it's not underrated. I've been playing it for about an hour-and-a-half, rank 7-8, NA. It's not very good. I admit I've lost a couple of games due to my bad skill, but the reason people aren't playing it is because it's not competitive.
It is good against Even Shaman, and that's about it. In order to win 90% of games, you have to get your full combo, and that generally means drawing your entire deck. If Reno is not in the top half of your deck, that usually means you just lose. It's too slow and too vulnerable.

VS meta report considers it Tier 2. That is kinda good archievment considering that VS meta reports are the best one. It is all about deck piloting and plays. The deck slaughters Control and Aggro, and the only combo deck that is faster is Druid. Other ones like Anyfin Paladin are either on the same level, or slower (Freeze/Exodia Mage)
