Setup: Play Test Subject and play both copies of Regenerate on it, then copy it twice with Shadowy Figure (why not Vivid Nightmare which is still in Standard? Because 4 mana is less than 6 mana, and 2/2 bodies are better than 0/1 bodies). When they all die you'll have six copies of Regenerate in hand.
The challenges then are drawing the combo pieces, not dying, and having enough hand space. Obviously you won't need all 36 in every game. The core of the deck is pretty clear:
Now what to add after that it becomes a little murkier. Do we put 1 Test Subject or 2? That somewhat depends on the other deathrattles to be drawn by Dead Ringer. I'm kind of running a lot right now. With fewer (or almost no other deathrattles) you can probably get away with just 1. We also need survivability, removal, and card draw. Here's what I'm testing out right now.
You could also run Vivid Nightmare but then you're probably also forced to run Topsy Turvy to kill off your Test Subjects, and I think at that point, your deck is getting clogged up with too many cards that aren't directly supporting the win condition.

Also I think two Test Subjects is the way to go, because you can cycle cards via PWS and Forbidden Words. I took out Ashmore and WW Piper and added double Pyromancer and Divine Hymn.

On 7 mana, you can even generate 4 copies of Regenerate on your own without fear of them being silenced, transformed, Sap'd, or Vanish'd.
Test Subject (1-mana), double Regenerate (0-mana), double Shadowy Figure (4 mana), Forbidden Words a Shadowy Figure for your last 2 mana (get a copy of Forbidden Words back), use 0-mana to Forbidden Words a 0-attack Test Subject. You won't risk overdrawing this way, but then it limits your max output to 24 damage from hand. You also have the remaining Shadowy Figure on board which as a 2/2 poses an actual threat, as opposed to the 0/1 Test Subject which can be ignored, so there's a very real chance of you getting those other two Regenerates anyways.
This method just guarantees that you generate them on your turn.
Another cool thing you can do for 7 mana is go:
Test Subject
double Regenerate
double Vivid Nightmare
double Forbidden Words
And you then guarantee generating your extra Regenerates. The problem I have with this is that you are then not using FW as hard removal, so you are saving up a combo....to generate a combo and thus having a bunch of dead cards in hand, and by including 2x Vivid you are NOT including 2x of something else (are you really going to cut FW?). And if you're attempting to do all that AND also make up for the missed flexibility of FW by adding 2x Topsy Turvy, then you're cutting two more cards...just where???
I think the lynchpin to make all this possible without cluttering your deck and hand with dead cards in order to do a combo to generate a combo....is Shadowy Figure and Forbidden Words.
I think the main concept is viable but I've been struggling hardcore through the midgame because Priest no longer has good AOE. I'm now testing out a bit of a different direction, more of a midrange Dragon version with the same endgame, but also with Alex. You can still Alex face and then rip the combo for 18 damage.

First problem I notice (and this should help with your mid game) is the Amani. Way too slow and expensive for the effect. I would replace it with Convincing Infiltrator destroy as it’s cheaper and I feel served the same purpose albeit more efficiently.
Scrapping this idea for now to work on a different Priest deck. Perhaps this combo will be relevant later or with a later expansion. Right now it's too slow and Priest lost a lot of board clears, and generally I don't think this is a good meta for combo decks.

I had an idea this morning which would deal 36 damage from hand.
Combo: Be on 9 mana. Drop Prophet Velen and Auchenai Phantasm and then up to six copies of Regenerate for a total of 36 damage.

I think it would be fun to put our collective Priest minds together and build something cool.

well, I was going to dislike your deck because I am biased against priest. but I actually think this is neat.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
I played some more games over lunch (Casual) and I think if we're to stand a chance at all against token decks, we need to run Pyromancers.
