I'm looking for video games that you would recommend to someone who loves good stories and characters. The more mind-blowing the better, specially if it is an indie game. (Please no games with shitty endings, I'm tired of those)
For example, I've played and highly recommend: Braid, Limbo, Assassin's Creed (1,2,Br,Rev), Bioshock: Infinite and Undertale.
I'd recommend "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons". For best experience try to go through it in one sitting (iirc ~4 hours), and use controller with vibration. And try to avoid spoilers on this one.
"Antichamber", "Fract OSC" for puzzle games. Not much for meaningful stories in both, but I'd still recommend them. First is designed to confuse experienced players by playing with expectations. In Second you "fix" music themes as you go through puzzles - kinda makes you smile each time you solve a complex one.
You might also like "Ori and the Blind Forest".

"Infinite" doen't mean "big" - it can be small and have no end.
Divinity: original sin, enhanced edition. You can even play with a friend. Takes close to 100 hours to play, absolutely fantastic story and an extremely rich game. Turn-based rpg with crafting and very unique battle system, basically DnD as a video game.

Those who mention this guy plus Ether One, Vanishing of Ethan Carther and The Talos Principle.
Virtue's Last Reward. I found it mindblowing. It is 2/3 visual novel and 1/3 puzzle game. The story is basically Saw in space with parallel timelines and some very surreal plot twists.
It is currently only on 3DS and PS Vita but a PC port is in the works. Its sequel, Zero Time Dilemma, is on Steam, but I'd play VLR first to get maximum enjoyment out of it.
The original Bioshock, if you haven't played it yet. Also, I would recommend Bastion and Transistor - beautiful graphics, great stories, and amazing soundtracks.

In another words: Bioshock 1 and Infinite veryyy mindblowing, Portal 1 and 2, Metro 2033 Redux, Mass effect Trilogy (My number One trilogy), Castlevania Lords of Shadow... (second one),
Child of Light is a good tip if you haven't tried it, Ubisoft can distribute good games.
If you're into obscure retro-gaming, Dreamweb has perhaps one of the most sinister stories ever told in a videogame coupled with a fantastic 8-bit soundtrack. With ancient obscure graphics and weird game mechanics, it is not for everyone however. Hotline Miami borrows heavily from it. The text version is better than the voiced version.
I know OP mentioned this already, but I just finished Bioshock Infinite and loved it. Bioshock 1 also has great story. The Talos Principle has a similar feel of slowly discovering the story, and the gameplay is great, but the story reveal isn't as good as the bioshocks.

Final Fantasy 10 is awesome. Final Fantasy 13 is great too, except for the 3rd part.
But being honest. I would really suggest you Final Fantasy 10. It has a great story.
The makers of Limbo are releasing a game in 2 days called Inside which is very good and similar to Limbo. Play that.
