Totally rekt this poor Shaman in this week's tavern brawl. Muster into coin Quartermaster, several peacekeepers, a black knight for his Al'Akir and to top it all of, Tirion
Decided to goof around a bit tonight. Usually while ranking I use my own control priest deck. Felt like needed to blow some steam and if I lose I lose. Played zeta's resurrect injured kaldvir deck for fun. Hate net decking since I'm creative and prefer to deck build myself but figured in my part of the meta isn't viable so what's the harm. Went on a 9 game win streak (before I had t stop for supper 0 losses). Even got to play against someone's custom control hunter. They added me after and we had a great convo. Sometimes the community surprises me :). Good vibes all around.
So ty community and zetaMilk for making it a chill evening

So i'm playing a pretty standard control warrior, except i don't have Grommash Hellscream, (or Baron Geddon but that's unimportant). I have Ragnaros the Firelord as well, but i find Ragnaros the Firelord to be good but but annoyingly inconsistent, sometimes going face instead of clearing a minion. So, instead of rag I swapped in an Icehowl that i got from a TGT pack, to much success. Having the unexpected huge removal baffles people, and though he cant finish off the opponent like Grom, he is very useful for survivng critical turns, and killing large threats. It really has helped me to climb higher, and has even helped in aggro match ups. :)
Just opened his excellency Bloodmage Thalnos. Not a flashy card, would never spend dust to craft him, but now he opens a gazillion different decks that I can play! Cheers people!
Yep, Thalnos is one of these cards you have to get from a pack. I was incredibly lucky, because I got a shiny one, now I'll never need to spend a gazillion dust crafting a 1/1!
Today I was playing Oil Rogue, and I had a game against Control Warrior. He ends up playing Justicar, and obviously I'm struggling to do much damage to him with him gaining 4 a turn. He drops Rag and it stays in play for several turns, each time hitting a Violet Student or something and never my face (I was at 13). In the end I have only a Shredder on board and only Blade Flurry in hand. He's at 9 and 4 armor, passes the turn, Rag hits Shredder and drops Mana Addict. Top deck Oil, exact lethal thanks to Mana Addict.
Any other drop and I would have been short at least 1 damage and ultimately lost.
Warlock vs Rogue. He's just played Emperor Thaurissan after drawing several cards with his Gadgetzan Auctioneer. I see that my demise is all but ensured and he decides to drop his Malygos along with a Shiv to the face and Blade Flurry to clear my board.
I played control priest yesterday on rank 4, and I met an opponent that only played basic cards. On rank 4! No legendaries, no epics, no combo, no ebola nor cancer. He played basic druid. That is nothing but respect from me. I tried to add him after the game (unfortunately I won) and congratulate him, and say well played, but he didn't accept :( I wish him all the best. I hope he reach legend!

Everything that isn't about elephants is irrelephant.
I beat Kim Jung Un last night in Tavern Brawl. I suppose the real Kim Jung Un would be undefeated, but I'll take this victory anyway. Turn 9 Nozdormu really put him on the clock to play fast. Choose 1 of 3 cards, then play out your turn. 10 seconds. Go!
Follow that with a turn 10 Varian Wrynn to call out three stock Pirates. Of course, the animation takes a ton of time, so he's left with 1-2 seconds on his turn.
I'd feel terrible and cheap if I did it in constructed, but it made for a good hearty laugh in tavern brawl!
Midrange Hunter (me) beat a secret paladin. 'Nuff said. Am now 2-9 against them...
Of course it's not enough said! That was my 1000 win (no idea that was an accomplishment), netting me 300 gold. In the two packs I opened 2 new rares, 1 epic doomhammer (already have 2) and 1 golden epic Doomsayer. Maybe time to bust out a freeze mage or control druid!

He probably did it by accident, after checking his ladder wins on the basic deck page. I did that once in ranked and my opponent said well-played before defeating me.
EDIT: I have actually done it more than once, I believe. Silly me.
Playing Tavern Brawl against a SMORCing hunter, he has lethal on board.
I can't really contest it without ruining any chance of winning I could have.
I pick a random secret ( Neither Ice Block nor Ice Barrier ) and play it and go full face as if it would save me, gaining lethal on board, and he indeeds tries to trade without even poping the ( supposed ) ice block/ice barrier ; Mid trading, Effigy pops up and he realizes he just lost because of the trade he made.
I'm left with just enough to kill him the next turn with HP.
Was playing casual as a priest against a golden druid. Turn 3 he innervates to taunt druid of the claw. I cant really do anything against that so I pass until turn 4 when I play shredder.
For some reason on turn 5 he plays deathlord. So I throw my dark cultist and shredder against it then holy nova. Out comes Ysera-by far my best minion.
On turn 7 he plays Dr B and I entomb it. After that it was pretty much over.
Just beat eboladin, face hunter and face rogue back to back with my Hobgoblin mech warrior. Such deliciousness!!
The eboladin was particularly satisfying since I had less cards in my hand than him the whole time (by a good margin). I could feel the frustration of him not being able to play the Divine Favor he mulliganed for against warrior through my screen.

Dropped from Rank 5-2 stars to Rank 7-0 stars, because RNG wasn't on my side, then fought my way back to Rank 6-4 stars in the afternoon.
The setback was tough, but so am I.
Survived more than 3 turns with Murloc Paladin vs. a Secret Paladin. And then my murloc army wins me the match. hellyeahmrgmrmlgmrlgmlrmglr

I have but a 1/2 Slime from my Sludge Belcher. My hand is Power Overwhelmingx2, Darkbomb and a Soulfire that I got from Dark Peddler. I'm on 1 HP, he has way too much HP. I'm defeated. Only one more draw is all I have.

Dragon ramp druid and Resurrect priest are so much fun when early aggro doesn't destroy them.
Resurrect itself is much better now that priest has more than enough boardclears to survive without 1-3 drops.
