I know there won't be any buffs anytime soon, but in my opinion you could buff following Classic cards and it would be just fine for balancing purposes:

1. Auchenai Soulpriest: Effect stays the same, but she becomes a 3 mana 3/4.
2. Holy Fire: Effect stays the same, but its cost gets reduced by 1.
3. Shadowform: Make it a 1 mana card.

Well you have the basis of a typical deck just with  three legendaries that really don't fit in archetype but if you are having fun go with it.  Honestly without more deathrattle herald might be the biggest thing that you could improve on.  It is a fun card but really doesn't fit the deck.  Same with Illidan but wth its fun and I don't know your collection so not going to say much about him. You might get q bit more power out of spell power than herald with your smite mb and holy Nova.    Illidan and onyxia are not typical in priest but good for power houses baring alternatives.  Main thing is you are experimenting and having fun. :).  Edit: since I mentioned spell power and noticed a lack of card draw which is needed for some of your combo pieces maybe a drake might work in his place.  Gives a draw and a bit of oomph when you need it

Playing an autofill deck because wanted to goof around.  Have no clue what's in deck.  Get vs a priest.  Ok it's either n'zorh or CThun.  Nope some other strange deck and he played mind games turn 4.  Found out I had velen in deck.  Insta concede.  I couldn't deal. Another priest game I have four minions on board double 1/1 and a 1/3 cleric along with a 5/5 he thought steals I find out I have mct in my deck and he steals the 5/5. 

Although to remove some of the PJSalt that there is some PJSugar is vs a midrange shaman did out tempo them for a huge win   I guess I had enough 2 drops to just keep on trucking

They are wild only cards now.  If you are making a wild deck and still missing them when you had them before it was a known bug and wa say poised to be fixed.  Put in a ticket in that case 

Also keep in mind nothing is set in stone and just because they did it one way it will always be the way.  They mentioned they like the system so likely will remain like that but never know. The posts above are like 99% likely to happen like that.

Similar theme for a murloc build I had pre standard.  The problem I ran into was against control was so easy to stop. This appears to have same issues.  They will shut you down hard.  Against aggro you would often easily smorc them down.  So it is hit or miss depending on your local meta.  If the meta for you is fast go for it and will do wonders.  Can get a lot of ranks.  If if is unfavourable you are going to lose hard.  Priest doesn't have the draw or hero power to sustain when teched against other aggro.  Definately fun and don't want to stop you especially since different and that's great just wanted to be realistic.  

Mid someday when you can afford it totally try it :).  Aggro priest so fun in all forms just have to expect losing.   Fun is better than winning and when you do win against something that should make you lose even better and get some laughs out of it.  

Was facing so many mindless shaman decided to make a deck that punishes then so hard.  Weapon hate , aoe , taunts , doomsayers ,  you name it.  12 games later guess how many shaman I faced ?   Yes you guessed it 0.   Was tempted to switch to my main deck but was too afraid I'll get a shaman again and they would miss being punished.

Other suggestion is a ticket.  Since isn't a gameplay issue might be higher end of response time but they always have been helpful

If you bought anything during that time you can check bnet balance history it keeps track of every purchase ever.   So if you bought a pack during beta for golden card would list that with date.  Would be a good estimate.
