There is no way, unless you play an ultra agressive deck. Stealer of Souls should be deleted as a card long time ago, but Blizzard don't have enough balls to admit their mistake, sadly.
In standard? Try tech the clockwork giant? It's not gonna beat them entirely, but sneaking 8 damage twice starting from turn 3 is something..
Ps. But I don't know for sure, I already stop playing since the first 2 days of this new expansion. My instinct said this meta is f up. It's not worth my time anymore.. turns out my instinct right. I will comeback playing when the meta changed again.
Any way to defeat wild questline warlock with a control deck??
You can't, control can't beat most of the meta decks right now and that's why it's so irrelevant. Even non-combo aggro decks are troublesome due to their extreme damage output, played mostly from hand (which is very uninteractive).
This quest was very poorly thought out. Its incredibly common for turn 5 completion. Followed by the soul stealer into backfire into three+ for 10-20 face damage l. no recourse, you just suck it and say thanks blizz for hiring 80 year old interns who don’t understand card games or any games.
Turn 5 two 0 mana Flesh Giants, turn 6 Battlemaster
It's no different from Handbuff Paladin or Secret Paladin, except Paladin is worse, because his minions have divine shield and you pretty much can't remove them in one turn. If Handlock is the problem, so is Paladin.
Shadow priest can blow lock up by turn 5-6, if I get lucky and draw robes of protection on my warrior I can beat them. Stealer of souls needs to be sent out into outer space never to be seen again.

.... At least Paladin plays minions. You can counter that with smart play. Warlock, you're completely locked out of a win condition, unless you're pure aggro. And even then, its really hard, as Warlock has a healthy kit of extremely cheap board clears, all while healing itself in its same kit, and drawing its whole deck, for <7 mana, in one turn. That is the problem.
What does Paladin do? Plays maybe 2 minions with divine shield, and a buff, and thats it, at 7 mana. Great comparison
You just play another quest warlock, it's that ez, boi. On a serious note though - miracle rogue and face hunter with aggro shaman all do pretty well against warlock.
People saying you can beat them with aggro and robes are clueless because warlock will wipe your board like nothing with the 5 damage in all minions spell.
How do you counter the 6 health guys that turn all their cards to costing health, complete quest instantly and then kill you just by playing cards?

Just play Face Hunter if you always run into warlock. Fast and easy wins.

Your only chance is play warlock yourself.
Warlock is TIER S GODLY UNBEATABLE!!!

At rank 4, I've pretty easily been beating them with Demon Hunter. An early Far Watch Post really slows them down.
So is Quest Handlock. It's board-centric deck with win condition based on minion damage.
Same against Handlock.
Same with Paladin.
So why Handlock's win rate against aggresive decks is so low?
Lol? Most Warlock decks run only Backfire and Hero Power. Mage, DH or Rogue can draw way faster.
Or maybe 15:
Why 7? He has Alliance Bannerman, Conviction, Prismatic Jewel Kit and more.
I can confirm that this is true.
