I don't want to be just another hater here, but it's impossible for Blizzard not to see how unbalanced this card is ...
I just played against a mage who in turn 4 ended up using 2x Refreshing Spring Water for only 03 mana ( reduced spell cost), which allows him to draw 2 cards and still earn 1 more mana crystal since he recovers 4 and only cost 3.
At the end of turn 4 the player had drawn 4 cards, played some cheap spells (but not bad) and ended the turn with a Body of C'Thun 6/6 in the board that only cost him 4 mana.
It doesn't seem like a balanced match, it's like I'm watching the game and not actually playing it... So boring
Sure, sometimes APM Mage goes nuts early and RSW is part of that. But I'm getting routinely beat by other class aggro decks so it doesn't seem to be a broken card or deck.
I think they have a hard time killing their darling here. Mage performed rather poorly in standard before the rotation, so they arguably wanted to give the class a boost, with a powerful card drawing tool that supports spell mage, which used to be bad. They probably hoped that they could balance mage by just nerfing DoL, so that we'd see multiple good mage decks, but the RSW is just too powerful and seems to have an even worse impact on wild. It's crazy how one drawing tool can have such an impact.
I think they'll tune the card down in a few weeks time. Both standard and wild seems too affected by the card.
I don't know, maybe just me but I've not found mage a particularly difficult match up at all recently. Spring water is good but the deck is fairly slow to really get going. The odd game seems to have spring water really give them a leg up but is that really any different to any other class drawing and playing one of their strong cards or win con? What you've described in the op seems like a very good draw for them but not one I've seen happen often enough that it's 'the norm'.
If you describe a deck working absolutely perfectly then you cna make them all seem so over powered. I had a paladin just completely crush me by turn 4 but I'm not going to come on and whinge about it because that's representative of about 1% of the games I actually have against them.
I've used spring water a fair amount and had it used by mage opoinenents and honestly, I don't see it as broken or crazy. It's strong, yes but strong cards are allowed.
There are also a ton of mage threads as well as the salt thread, I don't get why you feel the need to start a whole new thread for this.

But how many cards did he have left in hand? Sure, they take a lot of actions during the APM turn and maybe end up with something slightly better than you'd normally get on curve, but they burn through a lot of resources to get there.
The only real problem in Mage right now is that Deck of Lunacy is still too strong (due to the massive mana discount it provides), even pushed back to turn 3/4. Yes, this gives aggro some time to beat them, but it's still too often a polarizing "I win" card against everything else.

Probably enough threads on the issue by now?

"I don't want to be just another hater here" then proceeds to be another hater here.
RSW is balanced.
If you have 3 mana crystals and fully spend them on spring water you get 3 back not 4.... Bullshit thread
He was on turn 4. Still a bullshit thread though.
Hearthstone is known of supporting (or even forcing) solitaire decks and this shouldn' t be surprise to anyone anymore.
Oh, good. I was just thinking, "Hey, we don't have enough threads complaining about this. What we really need is another one."

The reason to nerf rsw is wild apm mage
We did not need yet another "Nerf Mage" thread, there's plenty of other threads to discuss. Closing this.
