posted a message on Upcoming battleground changes

I'm going to assume the lack of updates is due to the recent events happening at Blizzard. They've only posted two official news updates since, I would assume they were pre-scheduled posts and just covering what is included in the new expansion. That said, I'm very interested in hearing what the Battleground changes will entail, but I'm not expecting it to that soon.

I don't cry about it, but I think the text  and the effect could have just kept Blizzard is not a big deal.

I mean creating a post and ranting about it seems to suggest you do find it a big deal. Also the original version is available in the Classic mode, in Wild you will only have access to the Core Set version.

You know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

I'm going to be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline.

Also looks like OPs question was answered, I also didn't realize gold packs are always a % roll. Thanks!

    Quote from theeshyguy2000 >>

Cause it's fun. And that's why I play video games.

Best I can do is mild enjoyment.

I agree though, I don't get why all the hate when no one is forcing anyone to play the game. I enjoy it, so I play it!

Probably because they enjoy the deck?

    This game sucks

A fine contribution to the forum!

Also, congrats! Now you can't say you didn't get anything. You got a response on a non-official forum by someone that has no idea who you are!

Yes the rewards track resets with each new expansion, and the tavern pass along with it.

posted a message on Reckoning bug?

I would assume because the Marauder has the Battlecry, the game is treating it as the one dealing the damage. I know it's not super clear, but I would assume this is not a glitch.

posted a message on Bomb Warrior in duels needs to go
    Quote from Red1 >>

can you please fuckoff with this?  feeling?! Come on dude. Feel another game out first.

Bombs are one of my favorite mechanics, and although I choose it as often  as possible it’s weak as hell in duels. Hearthstone IS an RNG influenced game to a large degree, and your complaints are just in that realm of “I lost to RNG” salt that has a whole hearthpwn thread built around it.

leave fun, albeit weak archetypes alone Demi Lovato

This is a super productive response, truly amazing. complains how OP posts about their feelings of the game. Then proceeds to post their own feelings towards the game.

    Quote from HMcCool >>

I am currently a big duel player and Have Played everyday for the last few weeks.

However, One BIG issue I can see is Bomb warrior, not down to it being Op or anything, Just down to gameplay feeling.

Playing or playing against the hero power and deck is frustrating. Either your opponents draw the 12 bombs in their deck or you play without a hero power and they draw none.  Out of every deck and class in Duels, this hero power is probs the most game swinging or game loosing of them all which feels bad. RNG is one thing, but literally handicapping a whole deck on that hero power which is game winning or game loosing just should not be in already RNG based game mode like Duels.

Anyone else feels like the bomb warrior archetype could be revisited in duels?

FYI: No salt here. I just feel like this deck is one thing putting off some players off duels as it is frequently played and is  very polarizing.

Starts a new thread to complain and then says no salt, fantastic.  Sounds like you had some bad RNG, welcome to Hearthstone.

posted a message on Have they changed the BGs algorithm?
    Quote from M0res >>

Since the latest patch it is obvious that something is different. It feels like the game totally guides who wins or loses, like it’s all pre determined. It always was but this time it’s more obvious than ever.

    - hits that cannot be random (1/100 chance for hit order) to total a hit for exact health again and again

    - matching against top player in a row whilst others play ghost again and again

    - no triple options whilst others have 5 by turn 6

    - when playing against ghost suddenly the hits turn in your favour. I think the same algorithm applies to normal battles, some times against you sometimes for you. it’s obvious most of the time

im not saying the game is against me personally,  just that they changed the algorithm to lower average win rate just like they do in standard. It feels that players have no control whatsoever

As others have said, it's just bad RNG, bad luck, whatever you want to call it. Nothing has changed, and it does literally sound like you're saying the game is against you personally.

posted a message on Returning players' experience. What do you think?

It's a completely different game now than what it was when you played last. Just take your time to discover and try out all of the new modes. I'm not exactly sure the point of your post as you only ask one question regarding arena player base size.

posted a message on So they're not going to fix Mage then...????
    Quote from Wokitiki >>

the only reason standard even exists they can milk idiots more money. This game would have potential to be best card game but that would require deleting that shitty standard mode and concentrate all efforts to balancing wild.

I'm so confused by this comment. You're implying only idiots spend money on the game? You also feel it would be the best card game simply by deleting standard mode, and focusing ALL their efforts on balancing wild. I'm going to assume you don't play any of the other modes. Care to further explain, or why you feel only idiots spend money on something they enjoy?

posted a message on People who usually rope for no apparent reason; why?

While I can agree with the sentiment you're trying to convey here. The reality is that a random stranger that I queue against has exactly zero of my respect. I don't rope, and sure it's frustrating when it happens, but it's all just random strangers facing each other and getting upset or tilted by it is just going to hurt your own play.

posted a message on Honestly I don't understand why people play this game anymore.
    Quote from Toribasher >>

The reason to play this game is simple.

All games are a waste of time, but with the benefit of taking a break from reality.

I play this one because it is in front of me, I am familiar with it, and is satisfactory.  I like the fact that it can be free to play if you do it right, which causes me to be a bit appreciative that I largely am a freeloader yet have every Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck I want.

For others, there preferred waste of time might be League of Legends or Fortnite or Artifact (hehe) -- or watching cable.

There is no superior "waste of time" to another.

I mean you're not entirely wrong, sure there are better things one could do with their time. But that doesn't equal gaming to being a waste of time as a hobby. If I pick up my guitar and play it for an hour instead, is that a waste of time? We really need some clarification here as to what you deem not to be a waste of time and why.

posted a message on Honestly I don't understand why people play this game anymore.

I think you're confusing a word in the thread title.

"Honestly I don't understand why people I play this game anymore."

Fixed that for you. But more importantly, people play this game because they enjoy it. Some play it because they hate it and enjoy screaming into the void on sites like these thinking people care what they say. There are lots of reasons why people play this game. That said, it's a game, and if you don't enjoy it, and don't feel the need to scream into the void about it, perhaps you should find a game you do enjoy. After all, gaming should be a fun experience.
