Has anyone experienced something similar? I had both Silas Darkmoon(7 mana) and Tickatus (6 mana) in hand and after playing Silas on turn 8, played Tickatus on turn 9 which wasn't corrupted and destroyed my deck.
And yes, my bad for not checking the animation and card art and seeing it wasn't corrupted :)
It's just a guess, but it's possible that because battlecries happen before the minion has registered as been played, the game accounts Silas as being summoned by the opponent.
I've had problems with Tickatus not corrupting in a slightly different event: I played Demon Studies which reduced Tickatus to 5 mana. I then played a Khartut Defenderfor 6 mana. And it didnt corrupt the Tickatus annoyingly.
Card is bugged. And people actually still complain it's overpowered somehow... lol
Not sure if this is a bug or done so by design, because the Demonic Studies discount is not a permanent effect on a specific minion and the actual cost of Tickatus remains 6. You only pay 5 if he is the next demon you play. For example if you afterwards use Felosophy on Tickatus, you won't be able to play both of them for 5 mana. Compare this to Free Admission for example. If it draws and discounts Tickatus then the -2 mana discount is a permanent effect on Tickatus himself (his actual cost is now 4) and can thus be corrupted by any 5+ mana card.

Exactly this. Studies reduce the cost as an aura effect until a matching card is played. It does not reduce the cost of the card itself, thus a Khartut won't count for corrupting. It's not obvious immediately from the mana cost though.
Silas not corrupting is not a bug, but how the stack works:
you play Silas -> Battlecry gets resolved -> you yield control of Silas -> Silas enters play under control of you opponent -> 'after you played' effects are resolved (e.g. corrupt, secrets, ...)
since you no longer have control, you haven't played Silas.

This seems incorrect to me (though it may be what is happening) - because Demonic Studies is not an "aura" as someone said. It's a permanent effect on all cards until a condition is met. If you did not play a demon for the rest of the game, then your demons would always cost 1 less. If you played Felosophy, then your Tickatus's will "always"! be 5 mana until another effect comes into play (such as playing the demon or discounting further somehow). While this isn't the end of the world in terms of bugs, it does make a lot of difference in terms of how the design should work, as opposed to how it does work. If you use discount a minion with an effect from a card, but then shuffle it back into the deck (for example), it loses the discount. This is demonstrable by drawing a card with the Quest HP to make it 0-cost and then Plot Twisting it back into the deck. If making it 0-cost causes it to be corruptible by (e.g.) a 1-cost card, then the same should happen for Demonic Studies.
Again, it may not be how it currently works right now, but it's definitely how it should work in my opinion.

Yes, others have seen it happen.....might be a bug or not who really knows with Blizz anymore

damn @bengalaas. that could be the logic here yeah :) silly stuff
If you give control of Silas to the opponent when you play him, he doesn’t corrupt cards in your hand. Stupid interaction but that is how it works.
Battlecry occur before card is played so if u give silas to opponent you didnt play silas
It is known.
Take a walk on the wild side...

Is this justice?
Working as weirdly designed.

Yes, it's working like everyone have mentioned here.. because silas move to opponent's side, you no longer play silas.
But now I wondering, if the opponent have un-corrupted card in hand, will it now corrupted because you give him silas..?
It amazing if it is, but if it wasn't, then nobody play silas! Silas is the wild child come to the board without anyone played him known by the game.

Battlecries DO NOT happen before the card is played.
