A while back the HS team specifically stated that when you re-roll a quest you get an "easier" one, where it was assumed that those that gave less gold (now XP) are considered easier to complete than the ones that give more. It was also made that you could re-roll quests that you couldn't in the past.
Maybe someone can add a link to that article on this site?
Anyway, when we still had gold as reward I didn't mind that, but now with XP it is irritating (XP has more value because you need more of it the higher you get up the reward track - for gold you never realised it because I just spent what I had when a new expansion came around). For example, I have the daily "Play 3 games as Rogue/Shaman/Warrior" ... three of my least played classes (cuz they don't interest me much) ... if I re-roll I'll get a lesser-XP quest, where all I want really is to not play those three classes, so won't mind an equal value quest ... so off to casual I go ...
I rolled UP from 800 to get a 1k quest yesterday. All other rerolls have been 800-800 as I remember.
The topic should probably be investigated, but we will need 100s or preferably 1000s of rerolls to be sure how they work, especially if they use vague terms like "easier" for your new quest.
yes, they are. As said above. They made stupid shit for easy quests, now you can't reroll 1000 exp quests, coz of most of the time you will get 800exp.
I never rerolled a 1000xp (not worth the risk). So far I tried rerolling 800xp five times over the weeks, 4 times I landed on 800xp again and only one time I managed to upgrade from 800 to 1000.
Despite the fact that there are 65 different daily quests available, of which:
10 of them give 800 XP, so in theory we would have a 15'38% chance of getting one of them each day
50 of them give 1000 XP, so in theory we would have a 76'92% chance of getting one of them each day
5 of them give 1500 XP, so in theory we would have a 7'69% chance of getting one of them each day
I can assure you that the Daily Quest assignment is rigged as it's proven that it's much more likely to get an 800 XP quest than a 1000 XP quest, even though those of 800 XP are only 10 of the 65 total, while the 1000 XP ones are 50 out of 65.

Think this pretty much sums it up for me and I agree that with the change to xp over gold that they should probably review and tweak this again.

It depends on what you mean. If you're saying that, after rerolling a quest, you'll get an 800 XP one, that's well-known, and Blizzard has specifically stated that's how the system works. That's not rigged.
If you're saying that daily quests are more likely to be 800 XP than 1000 or 1500, I'm throwing the BS flag. Provide evidence. You say it's "proven." Who proved it? How was the study done? Where's the evidence?

The system is not rigged, but if you re-roll, chances are you'll get a lesser-XP quest (though you can roll up an "easy" quest if you are lucky).
Notes to take away: - Do NOT re-roll a 1500 XP daily, as it will always be worse XP. - Do NOT re-roll a 1000 XP daily, as chances are high you'll get a lower XP quest ... just go to Casual if you really don't like the quest. - Re-roll 800 XP quest if you really feel like it, it can't give a worse return.
ever since the patch, when I reroll a daily quest from 1000exp - I get an 800exp in 8/10 trys.
Any thoughts?
Yeah seems rigged to me at the moment, or maybe just bad rng.

Hope this clears it up.
such salt much BM.
Same happened to me
Do you reroll when you have 3 daily quests? AFAIK it will always give an easy (800XP) one in this case.

I rolled up from 800 to 1000 again today!
I would not reroll 1000g quests, but this was the case with the old 60g quests as well.

I see no use in reroll 1000XP quest, it is almost sure you will get 800XP one...
27 possible Dailies: 800 10x / 1000 14x / 1500 3x
12 possible Weeklies: 1750 11x / 2500 1x

I don't rerol 1000 quest only 800 ones I never got 1500 exp quest btw.

Anybody know how many quest we can have ? I though they changed up to 4 at same time but I can have just 3

Quest change - link takes you to another site.

I only reroll quests under 1000, and so far most of the time get a "play 3 games with 3 classes" in it's place.
