Its 8 mana...never just assume that an 8 mana card is busted...at that cost it has to do something when it hits the board or will see zero play. A lower mana versionm of this card that did the same thing with lower stats would be completley busted, like I said...8 mana. its probably just 'good enough'.
8 v. 6 damage is relevant. The fact that 8 damage is concentrated is actually a benefit when you're trying to Rag for lethal.
The 6 vs 8 thing is relevant when you're trying to hit an 8 health minion pretty much (which are semi-common). Otherwise not really. 2 face damage from such an expensive minion is a minor difference.
I'm not clear on the actual math here or the odds, but I feel like wasting all your damage hitting a minion is worse than hitting that 1/1 and then hitting face for 3. Obviously hitting face for 8 and winning the game is better, but I'm not sure what the specific odds on that are.
But at the end of every turn is super nuts. Empty Board it’s 8/6 wich summons 2 x 3/3 bodys who goes face and stay on the board...you just have to defend this card, it has value and it’s a pretry dangerous card cause it can deal face damage.
Your opponent hast to kill that dude.
This Card is just amazing and for me it’s a little bit overtuned.
6 v. 8 is most relevant when 8 kills your opponent, and 6 doesn't.
Okay, but how common is that? How often does 2 damage make a difference on having lethal or not? In this specific case where we're talking about an eight drop in warrior.
I feel like it's pretty statistically irrelevant. Just remember because "oh my god, they got exact lethal with Ragnaros and won the 1/3 this one time out of twenty games".
I mean it is. The damage being split is arguably better, and it summons minions that potentially survive to next turn. And 6 damage vs. 8 damage isn't actually that major a difference mathematically (That's a 33% difference from 6) though that very much depends on the meta. This is also not a legendary, but it is a class card. And it can attack.
Thinking about it more, I guess 30 is divisible by 8, 4 times. But is divisible by 6, 5 times. But I do kinda think it's relatively minor when a card costs 8 and it's all you're playing in a turn.
And I think the damage split is potentially better in a lot of situations. But I do think that depends on meta and what you're facing.
It's also relevant for lethal purposes that Rag's damage is focused. You don't want to need to win multiple rolls to get lethal.
Rag was a tool to find lethal. While this card *can* fill that role, it doesn't do it as well as Rag.
And Rag isn't even that good anymore.
Rag was never *that* good. Just the best 8 drop in the game and didn't have any competition even from class cards. He wasn't banned because he was OP, he was banned because he was versatile, did a pretty good job competing against bigger, smaller boards and gave decks that didn't have burn or burst, burn and burst and he was way too popular.
This card literally does a lot of the same stuff.
Granted in Big Warrior (which is what I think this is pushing, before it rotates I think they want Big Warrior to be a semi-meta deck) Ragnaros would be absolutely amazing in Standard currently. 2x8 damage for 10 mana while playing two 8/8s would be pretty strong.
It's also relevant for lethal purposes that Rag's damage is focused. You don't want to need to win multiple rolls to get lethal.
Rag was a tool to find lethal. While this card *can* fill that role, it doesn't do it as well as Rag.
And Rag isn't even that good anymore. It existed at a time when the game was in a different shape.
Rag is better at highrolling. Its also better at lowrolling. Hitting a 1/1 is a waste of of ability, while this new card can generate board presence while hitting small minions.
IMO Rag would be played now in highlander decks, resurrect priest and maybe in some tempo decks as a finisher.
Anyways, your original comment was that its not comparable to Rag, and I think its false. Im not sure which card is better on average but they have similar power level except the new card is warrior specific.
Playing Rag in hopes of sniping the last 8 damage of lethal Past three of four minions is a sad affair. Meanwhile this guy potentially kills two of those minions, meaning your opponent no longer has lethal and is forced to deal with your stats on board. Vs Rag, you could just flood the board and could ignore his inability to attack while you kept sending damage face.
Rag is better in basically only one situation, and that is when your opponents board is completely empty and has 7 or 8 life. In every other circumstance, I’d prefer this guy. Especially when you consider rush lackey is still around and the new rush broomstick, allowing this guy to clear a big minion for the 3/3’s to do work.
I can see MarkMcKz do some crazy OTK with this, Emp Thor, and Drakkari Enchanter
Board space is gonna be an issue. Troublemaker + Drakkari is making 4 dudes, thats 12 damage and 6 board space. There are not many ways to do more damage with 1 minion slot remaining. You can use Raid leader and the rogue quest to make it 20 damage.
I have no idea how to go beyond that, but I also wouldnt bet against Mark. :)
Seems kind of weak. Only good for going face when you're ahead on board. Kind of like a really bad version of the old dr. boom.

Excellent card if you make a setup with Doomsayer one turn before.
8 v. 6 damage is relevant.

The 3/3’s can go face. They attack a random enemy, not enemy minion.
Card is very comparable to Ragnaros, and is superior vs flood decks.

if this would be a battlecry card Ok.

It is a fine tempo card. Will need a tempo deck that wants it though.
Galavant Animation
How about a twin tirant that deals damage at the end of every turn?
