Is anybody truly enjoying this new meta where (apart from hunter and to acertain extent paladin, maybe) once you discover your opponent's class you know 99% what deck he's playing?
I mean, in my last 30 ladder matches or so, not a single non-spell druid, not a single non-galakrond priest, not a single non-galakrond rogue, not a single non-tempo DH, not a single non malyquest warlock. Jeez, people!
It is late in the expansion where most decks have been refined and you are playing on ladder, where pretty much everyone will try to play the best version of the deck to get their ranking up.
What you see is totally expected and has been true throughout Hearthstone's history.

Complains about meta and names 5 very unique decks haha. All while leaving out warrior, which I also seem to see a lot of (in low legend ranks).
One thing I like about this meta is every deck seems to play proactively. Of course, others may not like this as it gives that "solitaire" feel, but eh, I like knowing that I can create my own win condition regardless of how op or broken the opponent's deck is (because every deck is equally "broken" right now).

There is at least one deck available to every class that can be played to success in high legend. For some classes, there are two or three options, depending on how willing you are to absorb a few auto-losses.
Hunter has at least two, arguably three. Paladin has two. Mage has two. Priest has two (if you separate Highlander, which I do). Druid has two. Rogue can alternate between different packages (secret, stealth, questing adventurer or not) even though I'd have to say the deck is overall aiming for the same things.
Of the ten classes, only shaman stands out as truly behind the curve, though there are some control shamen out there enjoying decent success.
So yes, I'm enjoying the meta.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I don't see that. A couple different gal rogues, Quest vs zoo warlock, at least 2 different DH archetypes. fast pirate warrior vs, highlander vs. slower pirate warrior 2-3 hunter types. I guess it might depend on your MMR. at my MMR (9*'s? ) I see quite a variety. simliar with when I bother to legend (10 *'s)
Hunter: 95% are Highlander and the rest are just easy wins (seriously Face Hunter feels like T4 deck) Druid: 95% are Spell Druid (with or without dragons) and maybe 5% play Big Druid Mage: Only highlander. Other archetypes (big spell Mage, small spell Mage, no minion Mage etc...) I've only met in CasualRogue: Everyone plays some flavor of Gala Rogue (Secret or Stealth) Warlock: I've faced exactly one opponent playing Galakrond Warlock, everyone else was Questlock Priest: Mostly Gala, some Ressurect, nothing else DH: Everyone plays 'Tempo DH' of course, what else? Paladin: Rarely meet one and it's always Murloc Shaman: Haven't faced a single one Warrior: This is the only class that has 3 different archetypes and I encounter all of them: Bomb, Enrage and Pirate
So out of 10 classes, 7 have effectively one archetype that sees plays, Priest has 2, Warrior has 3 and Shaman doesn't exist
I did notice that there wasnt a big mid expansion balance change, which usually comes out around this time to shake up the meta. Thats probably why a lot of people, including the OP, have been complaining that the meta is boring or stale.
I do agree that the Meta is a little stagnant at the moment, but there are a lot of other options. Arena, BG, wild, (im not gonna say casual cause thats basically ranked simulator lol)
When, ever, over 6 weeks into an expansion has anyone ever regularly seen 9-12 decks involved in the meta? Posts like this always baffle me... Are they new? Have they already somehow forgotten 3 months ago?
Highlander Secret Hunter
Face Hunter
Galakrond Rogue
Res Priest
Embiggen Druid
That was it for months...
Can anyone name an expansion when the meta saw more decks than the current one after settling? in the past 2 years?

in the past two years no,
But any veteran with rose-tinted lens will mention how un'goro had "15" viable tier 1 decks, gosh i hated un'goros meta once refined, it was not 15 viable decks, sice 12 of them were just the same aggressive deck based on going wide and then Aoe Buff your board but with different coats of paint. with the only different ones being quest rogue, quest warrior and discover mage
edit: well technically pirate warrior was a different aggressive strategy but whover remembers facing pirate warrior with fondness needs to get their head checked.

Casual is my "strange quest completion" mode. Play x deathrattle, play x murloc... Just go into deck builder, search whatever keyword, and grab everything I can that costs 1 or 2 mana haha.
Meta does seem to be starting to settle, but at the same time, some decks are getting further refined (spell druid adding dragons, different tempo options in dh), and Paladin seems to be trying to become relevant (unlike Shaman, who just has to roll over and die and wait until the next expansion haha).

Then now's the time to run non-standard archetypes within these classes. Folks will mulligan for the wrong things. It's like playing Zoo when Warlocks are usually playing control, to use the most common example.
I used to play Tess Rogue when she was in standard. It was hard as hell vs aggro but it was suuuper fun. I've never had so much fun in my hs story. Now I don't play anymore, this game is boring as hell.
Definetely this though. I feel HS needs a real Overhaul this year, even affecting the whole game design, as more and more players & streamers are turning their backs.
One sure fire way to get em back on board would be Real Money rewards for Top 200 Legend players, but Blizzard is too greedy for that xD

That would make it a gambling site. They would have to move their offices and servers to an offshore island, and would have to implement ridiculous legislation in most countries and illegal in most of the US. Also no one under the age of 18 could play anywhere.
But yeah, it's probably because they're so greedy.

It's more fun, less boring, but harder!

Playing in D5-D1 this past wek:

Here's my advice: Meme decks. You won't feel bad when you lose, because it's a meme deck. And you'll feel really good when you win.
If you want to climb, maybe try tempo warrior. I think it beats almost everything.

I think there are some decks out there being ignored. Silence priest, token shaman, big dh, maly druid, etc..
I think some of rhese can give you decent win rates, but i think they all suffer from feeling really bad when you dont get the right cards.

Its not the worst meta considering the fact its in its most refined Stage now.
And I finally quit complaining about Rogue for a good 2 or 3 months consecutively now, so thats a good sign as well.

Are you mad of people playing BEST decks for CLIMBING?

play simple murloc paladin
the deck i play costs like 4k, the only legendary in it is murg murgggle or however you spell it
catches people off guard, and with a decent starting hand win on turn 4
