I have had good success with dragon priest. Go full control. The best counter is lots of board clears and lots of healing. They will get you into single digits but if you have two big lifesteal minions, you make a comeback. The ignore taunts is what kills me sometimes, that effect is worse than antaen in my opinion. It breaks a fundamental mechanism and there is no counter or defense for it.
Quest priest has been amazing for me. They can't deal with one big minion, so think of it as an aggressive druid. Bm them by saying oops when they hero power you on turn 1, and then they tilt from there and don't know what to do to beat you.
Currently 3-0 with Shadow Council Scrap Imp Quest Warlock vs DH, games aren’t even close. Pure Pally seems way too slow, got destroyed by DH. Highlander Dragon Priest did well but I messed up and gave my DH opponent an easy lethal, otherwise I would have won the game.
DH looks really strong but let’s not get carried away. I know that may be asking a lot but let’s wait a couple of weeks before getting the pitchforks out. It does seem to have its weaknesses. Much like Druid it struggles to deal with 1 big threat. I’m sure there will be many anti DH strats in the next few days. as an aside, DH looks kinda cool as a class. I haven’t tried it yet, it’s quite low on my list but there seems to be at least three viable decks for it already which is great to see on day one.
keep in mind that DH decks are more refined because they have few cards so they are easier to build. It will take the other classes a while to figure out their best decks. Don’t lose hope so soon!
Kayn is definitely frustrating to play against. Shadow council scrap imp warlock feels really good against DH sometimes, but other times they pressure you out of the game so fast that the stat boost isn't enough. Really have to make sure you aren'y shadow counciling your sac pacts too, imo those are pretty vital to preventing stuff like antaen from smashing your face in.
This is why all we can do is wait two weeks for an emergency nerf to DH. That class is 75% of the meta with a 75% winrate outside the mirror. It makes the other 9 classes obsolete! Most broken class/deck ever!
Warlock counters it nicely. Sac pact is insanely good. The taunt which spawns a lifesteal along with the prime bringing them back feels DK Guldan like. Zeraku is a nice slam down just before the dormant demon wakes up and randomly splits 10 damage. Plot twist and Betrug combos again with the prime card as well as the taunt demon as well as being able to draw mutliole brood mothers and heal as well as nether breath and dark skies/crazed neverwing helping with board clears.
The big card is sac pact though. A free target removal which heals you for 5 is insane and clears up some of their big threats whilst negating any impact they had by spewing some random damage. Twilight light drakes help soak up the the random pew pew and if you have any lackey or warlock card generators it helps with cheating more than 2 of a card in.
Being concerned to balance a game through theorycrafting in order to have more than one S tier class is to be salty? Isn't it healthy for the game if we had at least one deck archetype in each class that could at least make every other one a bit difficult to climb? Don't you agree that DH is a bit brainless right now? Without much effort I've made a climb from Rank 5 to Legends in like 1 hour and a half.
Share your best decks to counter the new plague in Ladder.
I tried res priest, beat one and then barely lost two. Very tough to beat.
demon hunter is the only counter to demon hunter

someone is salty?
I am running dragon hunter with 2 explosive traps and having no problem most of the time.

Edit: added deck

Missing lethal since June 2015.
You need a deck with lots of heal, no taunts (because DH ignores them), early aggro, late aggro, lots of board clears, and tall removal.

Currently climbing with galakrond control warlock and beating most demon hunters with ease
trick is running chaos gazer, ruins their outcasts and a lot of them get confused as to what to do with the card
Can you share the deck code? I would like to try it :)
Highlander mage destroy them its really good
Favorite Cards: 1. Lord Jaraxxus | 2. Malygos| 3. Edwin VanCleef | 4. Zephrys the Great| 5. Deathwing
No, he is asking you dipshit.
Paly im 5-0 against Dh.

Mind if I ask you for your decklist? I am playing highlander mage against DH and getting absolutely crushed...
