- assuming your on the streets of dalaran section, 3 spots on the board are taken and his hero power summons a 1/1 before he is able to play anything so you can try to fill his board with 1/1s and that will give you some time to plan out a good turn.
- there is a robe treasure that makes all your cards cost half but you can only play 2 a turn, always pick this, it is broken as all hell. sometimes you can just cheese out wins with a good combination of treasures.
cant think of much else atm but heroic is tough and can sometimes just end you harshly so just keep an eye out for those powerful treasures like robe, try to build your deck with jepetto in mind and you will get him eventually. hope some of rambling helped somewhere xD
I've only seen him beat (by myself and my wife who've logged in a lot of attempts at him) with either the treasure that halves the cost of minions or the one that makes anything over 5 cost 5. Relentless big minions (and a bit of luck) have been the only solid tactics I've seen so far. I haven't played rogue enough but I assume milling him is an option as well.

yea the robe treasure is op
whenever i pick it i get to japetto easily but then lose on him still cuz i get some unlucky shit happen to me
i usually try mage tho with it and end up losing maybe thats the issue? what class is best w the robe or doesnt matter?
I was in the anomaly mode (lots of them are powerful), picked Hunter with chameleon Hero Power, double +1/+1 treasure so even my 1/1 were 3/3, 1 mana shuffle 5 random treasures and 4 mana 7/7 taunt replace all other cards with random legendary Minions, so i broke his chain of deathrattles like sylvanas and co.
Red of someone Who used permanent stealth to fill his board of 1/1 and go face evey turno for more than his 4dmg per turn.
Edit: my anomaly was "each player starts with 2 more mana Crystals and draw 2more cards at the start of the game". So my First turn was 1 mana 3/3 mecharoo, 2 mana 4/3 Hunter minion that gives+1/+1 to mecharoo (now 4/4) and triggers his deathrattle summoning a 3/3 jo-e-bot.
Robe of invisibility has allowed me to cheese out wins in heroic like nobody's business. Since 70% of cards require a target it helps tremendously. Your opponent is just left with a hand of junk they can't play.
Lost to jeppeto maybe 8 times before I got. Grabbed hunter with mech list and just grabbed big stuff. Didn't even get the half cost passive, just an anomaly that gave 2 Mana crystals and 2 cards. I think I just got lucky, considering he misplayed, but big minions and cheat effects like Katherina are great
There are 2 super cheesy ways to beat him that you can build towards:
1. Cloak of invisibility, leave him stuck with a board of 4 1/1s against large stealth men then race him
2. Get the 4 mana 7/7, Golden Candle, which replaces his deck with legendary minions and so destroys his hero power value. Depending on your passive treasures and hero power, you should be able to outvalue him after playing the candle - you just need to be able to outvalue a free 1/1 every turn.
The merchant quarter has been the hardest for me, had to do maybe 10 attempts. Only reached jepetto twice, managed to beat him with a big shaman deck with the dices passive (the one that changes the cost of minions randomly) and the draw hero power
Class: Shaman Hero Power: Evolution Starting Deck: The Swamp Anomaly: Reductive (At the end of each player's turn, reduce the cost of cards in their hand by 1) Passives: Hagatha's Embrace (give a random minion in your hand +1/+1 at start of turn) + Rocket Backpacks (all minions have Rush) Treasures: Murgatha (4 copies, thanks to Bartender Bob), Golden Candle
With the reductive anomaly, picking rewards was not too difficult, I just tried to get three minions every time, avoided picking spells whenever possible (only had to take a single Hex, I think); didn't get an Unstable Evolution, and no terribly exciting minions, but the combination of rush attack > evolution > rush attack again pretty much held the board against every boss; the Murgathas' overload ability was not a big factor, but her 3/6 stat line for 3 alone was great. Jepetto, who had wrecked me five or six times before, got some damage in, but once drew into Golden Candle to wreck his deck and secured the board, it was over. Even got Rin among my random legendaries for the Azari/fatigue win. Sometimes you just get super lucky combinations. I guess that means that I will now have to spend a few dozen runs getting eliminated by Kizi and the Carousel Griffon before I see the chapter 4 boss.
this shit is impossible i just lost 3 in a row on it with completely different decks wtf do i do please help me out lmk what u used to beat it
any help is appreciated been struggling a lot on this everything else is ez af for me
if possible give me the class/hero power/starting deck/passives etc u used for this

i can give a few general tips:

Pick as much Deathrattle stuff as you can

A wild player
1) get robes
2) get swampqueen
3) roll swampqueen into Rin the First Discpline
burn his deck after 3 turns, simple as

u can use prema stealth treasure and not kill his board full of 1/1 to prevent him from playing minions and u go face with your minions
alright thanks guys giving me helpful tips
im just gonna try to roll for invisibility right off the start and see if i can win from there
should be really good yea since he cant trade anything off
Managed to win on third try. Jeppeto wasnt there and got another boss

He wasn't too bad, I got lucky on my first try with Mage with discount hero power and double Mage DK.
