I think it's OK to pay for cosmetics, but I also agree that we could have a midterm, with these premium skins having a period of exclusivity (idk, maybe a year) and after this time they could be added to the store allowing other people to purchase them for the same price as Alleria, Medivh and Magni. It would be good for people who don't have the money or miss the pre-order and wouldn't be allowed to have these skins in another way
i dont get it... the fact that you cant buy the mega bundle and cant get the new skin doesnt affect your overall experience with the game so...what's the problem? you want the skin? buy the bundle. I am honestly happy to spend 80 every 4 month for a game that entertain me since the beta.
Unlike many other people in this thread, I agree with you. I am a f2p player, who just can't afford 80€ pre-order. The free hero skins were the only way I could've acquired an alternate hero, and I did my best to get as many as I could. However, now that the heroes are being paywalled behind a 80$ pre-order, there is just no way for me to spice up my skin collection. What makes this even worse is that these heroes are available only for limited time (understandable, but still stings). I think a lot of you don't understand the point of the original post. It's not about having to pay for hero skins. It's about the fact, that what used to be a free feature (with the exception of the original three hero skins) now became locked behind a paywall, and not a small one at that. Ever since boomsday we haven't had a free hero skin, and that's a fact. Just because you don't mind spending 80$ for it doesn't mean others don't. Now, I wouldn't have said a thing if they were still releasing f2p heroes along with the paid ones. But the absence of a new year's hero skin sealed the deal for me.

This would not incentivize people to pay for content, so I would say it will not happen.
Why i would spend 80$ in a online game... to get some free dust/cards and some cosmetic? Sorry, I prefer to use this money to buy some beer and continue f2p in the next year (i can buy more than 150 beer cans in my country with this money...).
I knew this was gonna happen. The moment they announced there was no hero reward for the new year I had that gut feeling. But now we got confirmation of it now that we have ANOTHER $80 Mega Bundle with a hero skin locked to it.
None of these are available elsewhere, and now it's clear it's going to continue. We said no to paywalled heroes when they were first announced back in 2015. We didn't buy the $10 heroes, so we got free heroes instead as rewards for doing something, and everyone loved them. But now, the only way we can get hero skins now is by forking over $80 for these preorders. What used to be free rewards we all loved, is now another money grubbing tactic used by Activision.

I did mention that the original three skins were paid. I don't know what the deal with Khadgar was, but I think he was offered for some kind of donation, so he counts as paid, but I counted Tyrande as free because you didn't have to pay to achieve her. Since Khadgar was released in April 2016, we've had a period of 2 years of free hero skins until July 2018 when Mecha-Jaraxxus appeared.

Huge priest player here, didn't get Tyrande in the past, and I can't afford the mega bundle to get this one either.... Anduin for life I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The problem is not paying money for cosmetics. Ofc they are just skins. The problem is that people just accepting blizzard policy of milking players overtime... Feedback should be proper to be able to limit a company's greedy decisions...
It is a cosmetic item only... it provides ZERO advantage over another player. There was only two times ever blizzard gave out an item that you could play in the game that no one could get for free. Gelbin Meqatorgue (for the first purchase during beta), and that ETC card thing that people got for the first blizzcon hearthstone was at. Those cards both sucked and you could craft the regular versions of them. However, EVERY SINGLE HERO SKIN is just a cosmetic item. If you want it, sure pay for it, if you don't ... don't. If you can't afford it.... well then you can't afford it. You have the "HERO" of the priest, you just don't have the hero skin. This is a crazy complaint from people who need to realize that this is also a FOR PROFIT company.
even in league of legends u can farm cosmetics for free just by playing
but the true answer now is : we will get the free random legendary this expansion????

Actually, the Hero skins started as paid.
