I feel like when I played this game a couple of years ago, this forum had so many new threads and discussions each day. Now the same threads can be on the front page for days, and I feel like less people come here. Is hearthstone just becoming less popular? Is this just me?
I think it is more that the game is plateauing than dying, and the same goes for the various fansites, Hearthpwn included. Games and communities have to hit a realistic rough maximum point before the influx of new players slows down a lot. There's nothing wrong with that, but it is realistically how any hobby, fandom, community, or interest area must progress towards. I mean look at WoW, the game is still thriving but is never going to consistently pull 12+ million active subs during non opening expansion months again. It plateaued, so to speak.
Everything is dying. That's what being alive is all about.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
You would think that a site who promotes saltines and custom card competetions over good quality would live forever..huh who could know. Hearthpwn is a shithole.
I for one am thankful for their saltines promotion

It sounded better than "Everything that has a fanbase eventually dies, no matter how popular, because people die and move on too and humans are often vapid and constantly want to be entertained in new ways, and that also affects what sites they use." :P

There's saltlords who relentlessly attack Blizzard.
There's fanboys who relentlessly defend Blizzard.
But I never thought I'd see someone whose hatred would drive them to relentlessly target Hearthpwn xD
