6 games every three days, to finish my quests. That keeps me being "active" and playing the game. I think that if I were really involved in HS right now, I'd be losing my mind, with all the palas around.
There's always the reason why LifeCoach left HS - it's way too casual, and blizz is still pushing it as an esport because of everyone purchasing packs when there really aren't many good cards nowadays.

Thank you all for your replies. It's nice to see that even if the game sucks for some of us, we can talk about it without name-calling etc. That's also one of the things that really discourage me - everytime I see a thread focusing on problems with HS here at Hearthpwn, most of the replies are utterly stupid and disrespectful for no reason and I feel like I've been catching that negativity as well. I've been getting really tilted be my opponents emoting and I felt like everything they did, they did it to BM me (even though maybe they were just finishing their "play X number of class cards" quests, etc.)
You guys really made my day. Whether you decide to stick with the game or just finish your dailies like me for a while, I wish you all the best!
I took a break during KFT because I was so frustrated at trying to beat Lich King. I took a break for about a month. I came back, saved up almost 6000 gold for Witchwood. Opened my packs, crafted some cards I wanted for a long time, and it was fun.
I used to be active on the Blizzard Official HS Forum and that place is incredibly toxic. I started playing Wild and decided to focus on reaching max level with every class. I play ladder and earn my five stars for the cardback. I used Hearthpwn for years, but never realized there are articles and this massive forum!
I haven't visited the official forum for a few days now, my gaming experience has been way more positive. I realized the pressure was from the toxic environment and setting impossible and contradicting standards for myself was too absurd.
I tried other CCGs but I keep coming back. I love Hearthstone. I can't help it because I feel like too many folks are focused on competition. Rank is irrelevant to me. I don't care. Because I'm too busy having fun.
Taking a break from the game, and the HS media altogether was refreshing and allowed me to find my own peace. Instead of having salt thrown on all my ideas/opinions, I started using a blog to share all my ideas and feelings in regards to the game. Without taking in, and seeing all this negativity, it has been a blast.
Well, Aggro at this point is quite weak and can easily be counter by solid Control decks, and even some Midrange, so it can't be a reason for frustration.
Take a break, especially if you have other games that you have neglected to play. I have similar feelings to you about Hearthstone right now and although, I get on every 2-3 days to clear my quest log and Hearthpwn every day in hopes of an announcement of nerfs, I have returned to playing some of the other games I have never finished. The things that are frustrating me about Hearthstone are not going to change until a balance patch releases, so there is not much point in trying to force false enjoyment on myself.
Take a month off. Plenty of great things to do in life besides HS. Come back and you'll enjoy the game much more. Or as others said just do your questsonly.
but my opponents won because they had perfect combos (spikeridged steeds on divine shield minions, 3 duskbreakers in a row, etc) and it sucks when you feel like you have a good deck and you end up going 0-3 because your opponent basically plays constructed.
Sounds like you're playing scared, what matters in arena is how you do in the long run, of course over one or two games you're gonna get that experience but over the long run the rewards in arena are much more worth it compared to spending that gold on packs in the shop. It's just that the bad results seem such a waste of time but the good results more than make up for the losses because of the payout structure.
Unfortunately even if you're good, arena can become a grind if you wanna flesh out your collection that way.
I am one of those people that has been logging in only do to quests for a while now. Standard is super stale.
I will say I have been playing a lot more wild than in the past, and the change to the laddering system in march is a great part of that. Starting from sub-rank 20 trying to climb 5 stars per rank is a long journey! It has invigorated me to innovate and climb playing fun and different decks. It's way more fun than standard for me currently.
I hear you though. Breaks are not a bad thing. I am thinking of resubbing to wow soon as well :P

It means you should indeed take a break.
Hearthstone 2014:
-Have your aoe and punish board flooder.
Hearthstone 2018:
-Clean full board 3/4 time. Paladin keep vomit their cards and have a chance to win.
Currently playing Elder Scrolls Legends. Feels like winning the lottery comparing their reward system to Hearthstone.
