So Blizzard didn't just increase the price of the game by removing adventures and locking classes behind a paywall (Legendary weapons/Hero cards), now since the Kobols expansion they are now printing all good and playable cards as epic or legendaries, you can see this in this same meta (Call to arms, voidlord, Carnivorous Cube, the digusting 6 mana 4/4 win the game or the 7 mana 4/7 win the game again, legendary weapons and so on) and even the common cards that are playable right now are only used to enable the good epic or legendary cards (example: The 1 mana restore 8 from warlock on cube, the 2 mana 3/1 draw a weapon with the legendary rogue weapons). This is getting ridiculous. Literally the only exception to this are the 4 mana 3/3 AoE dragon and the 4 mana 3/2 combo draw minions in rogue.
As of right now, even if you preorder and buy 100 packs more you still won't be able to get a decent number of good decks AGAIN in this expansion.
The real problem is when you have epics and legendaries that synergise with other epics and legendaries in one deck for one class, usually across multiple expansions, and if you miss just one, you might as well call them all useless. I don't really like this force feeding of expensive deck archetypes - but on the other hand blizzard is giving out more free packs than ever before, and they've stopped people getting dupe legendaries in packs...
They give and they take - pretty much what you'd expect.
I won't complain too much. Don't listen to people who tell you to "stop whining" though - it's always vital for consumers to defend their rights in any field, lest they get bent over and abused.
Even if what you say is accurate (it isn't, lol) this is the whole point of different rarities. Epic and Legendary should be better than commons or rares. The more you play or buy the better your deck gets.

I can't address cost issues but with rotation you can go through and dust cards that are going away. If you are still interested in wild then fear not, you can still safely disenchant a good chunk of legendaries and epics just by using good judgement. Also by waiting a month to actually craft anything, your chances of crafting bad cards drops considerably. Just play with what you open and spend your gold on packs.
Personally, I will take a meta where I can't afford to play the best deck for each class over a meta where each class plays pretty much the exact same cards, ala pirate package, bonemare, Dragon guy, corridor creeper, lich king etc.
Here's something that has really helped my friends out and what I always suggest. The card packs aren't really awful considering what they could be. Sometimes you get a few packs in a row that are unlucky, but it's not often that you get a whole bunch of packs in a row without obtaining at least an epic. That being said, My suggestion would be getting good at arena. This is something I did so that I could obtain more packs faster. If you manage 7+ wins, you have pretty much obtained another free arena roll+ at least 1 card pack for participating. The arena system is really easy to do well at if you're decent at the game. To add on, there are a lot of budget variants of decks that perform nearly to the level of the standard versions. I'd suggest looking into those. I disenchant all cards I get that aren't ever going to be played because I want to be able to craft what I need. Just takes a bit of time. :-) Keep working at it.
As others have stated, there are a lot of powerful commons/rares revealed. Secondly, they have been disproportionately showing epic/legendary cards. We haven't actually seen that many commons, so it is hard to know what the good commons will be.
Also keep in mind, your kobolds analysis is skewed. Voidlord wouldn't have made cubelock on its own, possessed lackey is probably the most important card that allows the archetype to function, and dark pact is also an MVP of the deck. Not to mention kobold librarian as the current most played card in hearthstone. Or duskbreaker pushing dragons into every priest archetype. You are definitely being a bit selective in your view.
Dunno, I'm buying not more then 15-30 packs at each expansion release (and near 30 packs with gold) , and allways have 3-4 top meta decks, which give me possibility to play tournaments and take legend each month.
Yes, Hearthstone is expensive now for newcomers if you want to get resulting ladder climb fast, but if you are playing more then year and not a fan of collecting sets and goldens, it is not a problem to craft top meta decks.
I think Town Crier is the only offender in the expansion so far, having almost the same effect as Arcanologist, a common, while it is an epic. They might just not have "unique" warrior cards this expansion and just picked a good staple card.
The devs are doing their best to make the game more available ever since Un'Goro and we should appreciate it. They probably have to do something about the power increase of epics, though. Maybe no duplicate epics? I'de appreciate that because I almost get nothing but duplicates. I have 3-5 copies of multiple epics from the last year while missing a bunch of them entirely.
Literally every other cards game is just as expensive if not more so than hearthstone. MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, hell even the SMITE card game costs a good amount to get into. You know what you don't get with these other companies that blizzard gives you for free???

I swear some people don't know how good they have it .you will never receive anything for free from wizards of the west coast, or any other card game. If you can't afford it, get a job.

Actually Kobolds legendaries suck, good cards of the set are mainly epics
Top deck is cheat
Sssshhhh, reason and salt don't mix well
Oh look: it's THIS thread again.
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

Not really, the only good paladin cards are Rebuke & Sound the Bells!.

Town Crier clearly dustsucker card, not unique for epic at all
