I really liked the theme and the flavor of the cards and the characters. The game board was also nice. The cards were powerful which I liked, and this expansion saved priest. I also liked higlander decks. Almost every class was viable at this time.
I had the most fun playing Hearthstone during MsoG.
In my opinion, Kobolds is the worst expansion so far. No flavor, cards and characters are all over the place. Recruit mechanic failed hard and all recruit cards are just boring. Also spawned terrible meta where for the first time, I was thinking about quitting the game.
Worst expansion. Patches, raza, F#CKING JADE GOLEM. Worst expansion ever. Quite every card from MSOG has (or should be) nerfed. Cool the gang mechanic, but never saw an handbuff deck or a jade deck but jade druid (although recently jade shaman is shining)

MSoG was initially a great expansion, as it tore up the meta that was pretty stale at that point. However, it's soon became the worst expansion due to the amount of OP cards in it (which is why it tore up the meta). It lead to probably the two of the four worst deck archetypes in HS history, pirate warrior and jade druid (undertaker hunter and secret paladin are the other two in my book).
I'll take a disappointing expansion that doesn't ruin HS for 2 years over one that was great for a month and then sucked the life out of the game for the rest of its time.
Kobolds was terrible. I mean - Priest with power costing 0 mana, rechargable :)) , a 5/5 for 0 mana at turn 4 (or so), Warlocks having the 3/9 that they revive over and over...
TFT was the best expansion -> last year <- because of the hero variations. All of the DK heroes have found play.
Overall, which expansion was the best - too difficult to say. I enjoyed most.

Your right, this is an unpopular opinion. MSoG introduced Pirate Warrior and Jade Druid, two of the most reviled decks in Hearthstone. But even it wasn't as bad as The Grand Tournament, with its many terrible cards and wildly unbalanced keyword.
Best set of cards was from League of Explorers. Discover is a cool mechanic.
Is this a troll post? MSoG had the worst meta in all of HS history. It was a game of rock, paper, scissor or said differently Pirate, jade, Reno. I have played since the game went out of beta and MSoG was the most boring and stale meta.
The meta was basically Rock paper scissors consisting of Jades, Pirates and reno. Pirates murdered jades, jades murdered reno decks, and pirates insta conceded to reno decks if you manage to survive till turn 6.
I also do remember having lots of fun dying on turn 4 to pirate warriors back when patches had charge, small time buccaneer was a 1/2 and fiery war axe was 2 mana. Good times.

Don't forget smorc shaman with pirates and 1 mana Spirit Claws...
TgT has to be the worst expansion. It brought secret pala and Justicar Trueheart and very little more. They massively overvalued "inspire" and that "joust" idea was far too inconsistant to be useful for all but 1-2 cards.
IMO the MSoG was the second most boring / annoying expansion - jades were such a bad idea! - only beaten by WotOG which introduced literally the most tiresome and boring mechanic in C’thun. That was the one expansion that almost killed the game off. Every other deck was a yawn-fest C’thun deck and what’s worse is that this mechanic is what spawned the whole jade idea in the first place the C’thun players are the ones we have to thank for THAT whole mess! Lol
Best expansion so far has to be LoE though. Really miss Brann-annegans! Sigh...
League of Explores were probaly the perfect expansion. A skill heavy, interesting set, with powerful cards overall.
My favorite full expansion overall must have been Un'goro, although it's "fun" factor was diminshed, because old cards from MSOG still dominated the meta. Kobolds revived some of the old problems from MSOG, with cards like Kingbane, which is a card that just completely dismantles the idea of outlasting the opponent.

I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Yes, I loved Gadgeztan.

OP, I'm glad your opinion is very unpopular, that gives me faith in humanity. :)
KFT so far is the best xpac, with UnGoro close 2nd imo, MSG tends to be the worst. Those jades...
No brain - no pain.
Un'goro best. Gadgetzan worst.
It has to be snakes.

I started playing during KFT but I hate MSoG the most. Ungoro is super cool and I think Darkwood will be too
Demonlock is the only reason for my profile pic lol
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
not that I hate discussion, but there was a reason that MSoG was so unpopular.
I will also vehemently uphold that it was the worst expansion that created problem decks for expansions to come.
again, everyone has the right to their own opinions, but I have a feeling this one will fall on deaf ears.
This...is..TRAVESTY!!! (kicks a jade golem off the cliff).
Thats... one unpopular opinion, indeed...

Excluding Pirate Warrior it was my favourite expansion and meta. These Reno decks and Aggro Shamans ♥
