Arena opponent had the lethal fireball in hand for 5 fucking turns but let me play on and jump through hoops to stay alive. He used it the turn before he lost. If I'd drawn my Pyroblast he would have lost too.
So it turns out when Infinite Murloc says "Shuffle this into your deck" it actually means SHUFFLE YOUR DECK. You know, like in MtG. Except there are no freaking interactions in Hearthstone where this matters unless there are also cards in your deck which put spells on top of the deck.
I've been playing HS now for about 2 months and this is kinda salty towards my own decision making and a very few rate players, which I won't name both because I don't remember and I'm no snitch.
So the account I'm on is currently my 5th. Every single time, I start, I earn the opening packs from tutorial, witchwood, kotft and classic. Which accumulates to I believe 18 packs? And on every single one, I've been tempted enough to dust my whole collection... Like a moron... this last one saw me dusting the legendary elemental from Un' Goro I believe. The one that casts an elemental invocation.
But that's not my worst. My worst was my first. I dusted both Baku and Greywolf(?), plus Darius and several others I never thought I'd be using... all for a paladin murloc deck that was still missing vital cards.
Ok, so, enough of my own idiocy for a moment. I'd like to take a moment to be salty over some players that I strongly believe to be cheaters. The first, a rogue. Summons the minion that shuffles 3 spiders into your deck. Next turn, draws all 3 back to back to back. The second, a shaman, plays a spell to draw a card and reduce its cost by 3. Saronite chaingang. Next turn, rinse and repeat. I'm not sure why people believe they have to cheat to win! It's bad enough being on a mostly fresh account!! My decks are lucky to run a 25% win rate at most!! Yet some jerk has to cheat! Really?!!?
Yes, I've considered the possibility that both players were simply extraordinarily lucky, but for either of those situations... no, just... no.
We would have to calculate that out of a 30 card deck, for the first to occur, even late game, which this was turn 5-6. So 22 cards ish. For each of those 3 spiders to draw each other out would be 1/22*1/22*1/22 or 1/22 to the power of 3. So what would that be? 484*22 968+9680 1/10,648 if im correct.
For the second, you have to factor 5 cards. 2 of which could be already in hand so call it 3. Which would be almost the same percentage!!
Play legal for Pete Sake! I do! Why should you get to cheat? And for what? 10 gold?! Perhaps!! People do understand hacking is a crime right?! It's a game! What's more important? Your freedom? Or 10 gold on a digital card game, that has no real world value?

For the continued "authors" of these blights: Stop it... we get it... if you draw all the cards in your deck, you should win axiom... while true that a "good" deck should be able to pass this "test" and therefore all decks that can't win by playing all cards are of bad design, It is also true that all decks that can _only_ win by drawing nearly every single card in the deck is _also_ of bad design, and in general bad for the meta, bad for hearthstone and ultimately bad for blizzard... because the games go long and jam up the cue and the deck is at _best_ 45-50% win-rate no matter how it is build because why.... um-mm while your keeping the hand from hell and build your grand strategy of playing nearly 20 turns to basically flip and coin and hope your not playing a deck that will destroy you before your can drop your "exodia" set of 5 to 9 cards that are "key" to your good deck and you don't drop the ball along the way.... or ultimately your opponent gets tired of your great deck and decides to throw in the towel to play a more reasonable deck... and you amazingly win and manage to advance on your way to legend stardom--never going to happen BTW....just so you know... you have to grind to make legend with a truly good or creative deck that can win sometime before turn 15, unlike you which can't even rank up due to your slow pile of crap deck that maybe wins 1 in 8 to 1 and 9 times, i know you were told you have a grand win rate of 45% , but no... that is not the case.... the stats are off probably due to all the times you advance because of your opponent--once they figure out what you are playing and that they don't have to play it and decide to concede... because they don't want to watch your machinations for 15+ turns to only finally get to see the "bitches"--my nickname for apprentice--finally start dropping and then hear that lovely intro for the arch mage or as I have seen personally 60% plus of the time it all flies apart because you forgot a step... (how is this a great design when the entire contraption flies apart when one card can go up into flames due to you drawing too much and your trying to keep a complex hand???) because that happens a lot....
For all the pilots and future pilots of this deck who think they can make legend:
um-mm.... probably not and if you do... you probably will never do it again with this deck and will be cursed to haunt the nether of sub 10-15 rank pathetically brandishing your legend backs--completely undeserved--getting taken down even harder because your a 'legend' trophy' mark and bragging rights by someone running a slightly less "good" deck and clean your clock with it.... I see it all the time and as i am cleaning your blood off my boot from literally crushing your head in with my non-legendary boots I think wow.... another Legendary that made it there with Exodia or Quest Rogue and now can't get back... but were "in the show" so you should all bow to me ...um-mm no...your another mark on my ego... and a blight to the meta and IMHO should be considered a "toxic" player because you are adding next to nothing to the game but frustration, ill-merit and long game ques... and even worse.... you didn't even design the deck you copied it and read maybe how to possibly pilot it and ... just stop... your sad...there are lots of better decks that work with the meta and not against it...
Blizzard, is this what you want... decks like this ... a clear cancer..... didn't you think that leyline elemental was sorta a wet dream for exodia...
really, how is this deck idea good for heathstone? you knew Quest rogue was bad and double taped it with the nerfgun.... and that deck actually won a lot more.... before your made leyline.... we could look forward to this deck dying off from standard next rotation.... now... its running without the gate.... how is this good... how have you not seen the blight this deck can be when it starts to surge in popularity... how is this deck good for anybody.... you can build a deck out of randoms cards that has a better win-rate than this.. this is a deck that toxic players play to be a problem for the game.... no?
so....not a good build, not clever.... not good for the game...
For anyone making new builds and or videos with a "better" or more "clever" exodia: Just let the deck die... it's a bad premise of design and is bad for the meta as I outlined above.... your wrong.... because a deck that can only win by playing nearly all its cards and therefore needing upwards to 20+ turns to maybe win less than 50% of the time is of bad design.... ???? where do you not see the problem here... this is not control... its madness...
I have said my peace.... this is not a rant... but a plea for the game.. and a challenge of: how you can show me that this deck is healthy for the meta, hearthstone, or even Blizzard... you know MTG had a card like this too... it was called "Timewalk" and is a key part of a blight that you can probably now buy a house with called the "Power Nine" that damn nearly wrecked the game in its infancy and WOTC knew never to repeat the designs again...
sadly the RNG that runs hearthstone does seem to know of math and allows incredibly amazing feats all the time... my theory is that Blizzard didn't use a standard RNG from Unity that would seed sensibly by using a clock element, but instead are actually seeding based on the card cost value array that is set by the card draw order that is sent down from the server at the beginning of the game by the server... don't believe me watch how tracker knows your mulligan choices before you see them... and of course the server determines draw order... because you can't trust the client to generate it because it can cheat... This is the only reason I can come up with to explain how the RNG could generate results that it does and how you can change one card in a deck and suddenly the deck botrh plays and draws differently than it did before the one card change ... so.... the flaw in your above theory of cheating is that your assuming the RNG is behaving rationally... .which in time you will learn... it does not... just search the forumn for "RNG" for lots of examples similar to the ones you recently witnessed... and remember... assume the absolute craziest outcome from the RNG and play lots and lots of games to overcome the 45% winrate of the game and learn the metaspace.. and you will advance and proper in the game.... probably.... never ever base your strategy on odds... because they are not here :)

Still at Rank 8. Nothing works this season. Don't know if I'm in an epic tilt, but ALWAYS counter decks, ALWAYS great draws for the opponent, ALWAYS the best possible Death Knight card, etc. etc..
Seriously think about quitting. After all, why still play a game if you're not enjoying, right? No sunk cost fallacy for me, thanks.

I've been feeling the same way this past week or so. The first couple days of the season I got to rank 2 pretty easily, then took a break for a few days and fell down to rank 4 and now it's win one, lose one for all eternity no matter what deck I try. I've tried aggro, I've tried combo, I've tried control, nothing is working.
And it's not that I don't know how to play, it's the fact that I see an entirely different meta depending on what I play. Decks I haven't seen for weeks that happen to counter a new deck I'm trying are suddenly the majority of decks that I see from that class. It's bullshit.
Decided to go to arena first time in 3 years. Regretted. Arena, AKA mage and warlock constructed. Some mage decks ON 4/2 were BETTER then constructed. 5 steam surgers back to back, 3 blizzards, 2 flamestrikes, 2 gems that give 3 spells each for 2 mana, 2 meteors. Very balanced, fun and interactive. Warlocks who have 2-3 ethernal murlocks EACH, and draw them on turn 1 EVERY TIME. in 3 arenas, haven't won a single game against a warlock or a mage, haven't seen a single priest.
Fucking two spikeridged steeds (at least) and two silver swords at 2-1 in arena? Come on. Arena will do anything it can to keep you below 3 wins and you need the most absurd bullshit to get past that limit. And fuck the rewards at 3 wins too, last two times I've gotten 25 gold and a pack. There is hardly any difference between winning 0 and winning 3, so why am i wasting my time?
I m playing Exodia mage against huter. Turn 1 he plays Dire Mole, I play Doomsayer. Turn 2 Razlin Macrocaw into poisonus. Turn 3 Eagle hornbow. Turn 4 coin and 8/8 Hydra. Turn 5 spellbreaker on my Arcane Artificier. Turn 6 double kill command. FUCK YOU AND YOUR MOTHER

Trash meta. Its absolutely stupid, when u know that u lost from the start. A lot of decks that don't need ANY skill, just ANY. Play tempo, play broken cards = win the game. Stupid game design.
Just lost to 2 retarded paladins back to back ONLY because they UNGODLY highrolled their fucking auto-win 8-mana weapons. They cant trade, they cant build an arena deck, they just get this weapon and automatically win the game. Or dont get it and finish on 1\3. Why the fuck EVERY SINGLE palladin has this RARE weapon in ARENA? Cant blizz move it to the rarest bucket, because its the bullshit tier one, and can ALONE win them the game.
