Most statistical analysis relies on the assumption that the underlying model used for the data does not change significantly over time. If a sudden trend appears and becomes popular (like when the token shaman list started to get popular quite a long way into the Un'Goro meta, before then elemental shaman was what people played and it was pretty bad) you have to re-evaluate the data.
Vicious Syndicate reset all their win rate stats during Un'Goro meta since the meta changed significantly when token shaman became a tier 1 deck.
there is no such assumption here. this is just a record of what's going on in the current meta
Indeed. However, this is like asking why do meteorologists and weathergirls exist and are backed up by a global weather recording system using massive supercomputers and lots of hard maths when I can just look out the window and see if it is raining or not.
There's a reason VS doesn't release the written meta report articles until a few weeks after major changes like this. Even though they have readable stats as early as now, they know it's not usable yet
of course it's useable. 56% of the games where a player is using token shaman or midrange hunter that player wins. It's the same concept as later on . The meta may change but the statistics accurately reflect what's currently going on
It really isn't, The meta needs more than 8h to settle. it takes more than 8h for someone to find the best jade druid lists without innervate. It takes more than another 8h for that list to become popularized enough for the trackers to start tracking those as "jade druid" more than the old outdated lists. Repeat for pirate warrior, face druid and murloc paladin. Obviously these decks are all doing bad now because everyone is playing shitty outdated or experimental lists. Shaman and hunter lists have the major advantage of being refined over all of KFT
and I believe that Crays are floating point only (maybe they changed that since I last read about them) so that would be 16 trilion flops then.
Good to see a double decker bus weight comparison though which is a standard unit of British news reporting (for length and weight, weight is quite unusual though, usually elephants are the standard weight unit). Sadly, no details about how much space it takes up in terms of football pitches (standard unit for quite large) nor size of Wales (now we're talking big amount of area).
EDIT2: Interesting read about how modern smartphones are better performing than supercomputers from the past
Assuming the article is accurate, lots of people confuse jiggyhertz with meggyflops. I do know PC graphics cards have meggyflops coming out their wazoo but they aren't general purpose CPUs so aren't comparable to a supercomputer that also runs an operating system and peripherals.

existentially nerfed pirate warrior is at 55% and the "refined" kazakus priest only 50

even in a theoretically sense, spreading plagued got nerfed a higher percentage of it's total mana cost than call of the wild , and that's on top of the entire druid deck being out a potential 4 free mana over the course of a game which is like up to an additional 4 mana nerfs per game

this is in a deck that completely relies on surviving the early game. the value is already infinite, having the tempo plays to survive is everything for jade druid
Midrange hunter is favored against Kazakus Priest Evolve shaman is like %50 %50 because of priest board clears and Pirate Warrior doesn't even need fiery war axe to beat kazakus priest so it was expected.
People were playing Kazakus priest because it was good against many Druid archetypes.
People who were claiming Fiery War Axe will affect Pirate Warrior much were wrong, no matter how good they were, no matter if they were world champions or super famous streamers, if you thought pirate warrior is cancer because of fiery war axe you really don't have a clue, sorry HS pros.
I only played 4 games so far (started at rank10 EU), all four of them were against druids, so its safe to say that the meta is 100% druids nowadays. or maybe not.
:)
seriously guys, can you just wait at least 3 days?!
Nothing even matters. If Miracle Rogue becomes tier 1 then this forum will just call it cancer and ask it to be nerfed. Same with Quest Warlock and anything. When people lose to a tier 1 deck they cry and call it cancer. If Chillwind Yeti was strong people would call it a cancer card. 10% of this forum post some very worthwhile things whereas the other 90% have to use the words 'cancer' 'op' and 'wtf blizz' in every other sentence with nothing to base things on apart from salt and arrogance that they feel they are superior to everyone in a single way. Never actually heard anyone on here admit they were outplayed and at least half of this forum act like they should be Blizzard employees.

Hunter is expected to improve a lot with this patch since it is good against Priest and would be good against Jade Druid if not for Spreading Plague, but it struggled against many of the higher tempo decks that got hit with nerfs.
What's also important to note is that the early matchup stats are across all ranks, and aggro decks have always performed a lot better at lower ranks due to those decks being generally easier to pilot and cheaper to get all the necessary cards for, plus meme decks are more common at lower ranks and they usually get destroyed by aggro.
Another thing that wasn't taking into consideration is when the patch happen. The players already logged on didn't have the nerfs, until they relaunched. So initial hours are flawed stats. Have to wait until everyone is on par with changes.

When Hunter rises, Control Paladin will rise to counter them.
ITT plebs embarising themselves.
Learn how statistics work plebs, even better, learn when the data is flawed.

As a pleb, I am wondering how much that Cray 'all in one' costs. How many flops, i/o's and other shit does a modern Cray do these days?
Whaow --- I remember when Edison was the shit on Jeopardy. So fast now.
I enjoy.
The UK weather computer cost 97 million pounds. The picture is the German one though, it's probably more efficient.
EDIT: 16 trillion operations per second for the UK according to this

A lot of people queue specifically against razakus priest
Me included
