Druid is not the problem. The LADDER is the problem. This happens every expansion. We always are quick to blame whatever fotm class is OP at the time and no one seems to question the ladder system -- no sideboard, no best of 3, no incentive to play different decks, etc. The entire ladder system is designed for exploitation and dull deck-building.
Class balance is not the issue here. It's the entire reward systems and design philosophies that make up Hearthstone. If it wasn't rewarding to play Jade Druid or Pirate Warrior or Undertaker Hunter, people wouldn't do it. But it is, so they do.
If I give my kid a candy bar every time he shits in my shoes, I can't really be mad that he keeps shitting in my shoes, right?
This is the best post I've read here in this topic. Sums it all up.
"Even with pirate" go home and cry there lame kid.
He is right about that..Druids one of the weakness was a hard aggro and lack of AoE. They just gave druid 2 cards that compeletly favors them. Right now we have a class that: 1. Can deal with huge boards
2 Have best anti-aggro cards
3 Have best anti-control cards
4 can "ramp" and refull their hand at the same turn
5 have a immunty to board clears in the late game (10-10 jades etc..)
So how the hell do you beat that? Only current counter according to VS is same class with another archtype, aggro druid. Even Murloc Paladin and Quest-freeze mage have %48 WR for jade druid
90% of my games are now Murloc Paladin, Jade Druid, or Pirate Warrior.
It's demoralizing and boring.
I refuse to play one of these decks. Whenever I beat one, I hope an angel gets its wings.
Quote from latest reaper report:
"Brace yourselves, Hearthstone players. Winter is here. The Un’Goro golden age has ended. The days of 18 viable archetypes from 8 different classes boasting win rates of over 48%, are gone. The period when decks could hardly break the 52% win rate mark at legend, is over. This is the age of the oppressive few. This is the age of Jade Druid, and the aggro decks that don’t roll over and die at the sight of it. There are only 4 archetypes that currently boast a positive win rate at legend, and there is a huge gap in the power level of these archetypes compared to everything else."
Those 4 decks being aggro token druid, jade druid, pirate warrior and murloc pally.
A conspiracy theorist might claim they make a broken deck every meta so new players will spend money/gold/dust to build the 'easy win' option. When the gravy train slows down, they then address the meta with a fix that established players lap up like a starving dog, only to repeat the process again in a few months. When was the last time an expansion didn't feature a 'broken' deck?
Also, Jesus Hearthpwn, fix your damned site - having to refresh in hopes of the post going through is beyond lame.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Just uninstall the game like i did today and suddenly druid is no longer problematic.
Second way to balance druid is to wait until Blizzard will confess they fucked up but uninstalling HS is just way faster and less painful.
Damn, i am so glad that i didnt spend a single penny on this game since Mean Streets...
After years of playing this is honestly the best response to metas like this. Just uninstall and wait for the game to be fun again. It is just a game, you shouldn't play it when it's unfun like this.
My problem with Jade Druid, Pirate Warrior, Mid Sham, Undertaker hunter metas and their ilk is that they stifle any deck creativity.
I am genuinely curious when Dean Ayala or BB says things to the effect of "Hunter in Ungoro actually had the highest winrate deck". There is never any further context to those statements which I presume to mean "in the rank 25-20 meta" or with a sample size of 20 games (kappa) since that was absolutely not what was seen at all in ungoro meta at any level of ladder I experienced or watched for 3 months. To me it's as asinine as stating "by the way there was an awesome warlock deck in ungoro and everyone missed it" or more recently "play meat wagon for fun....". Just find these statements hard to take seriously.
Now onto the current meta and jades. UI SP and Idol are the culprits. You can go back on hearthpwn in MSG and everyone railed against the design of Jade Idol its just a pure garbage design (regardless of impact in metas) and there are a million ways to make it actually fair. UI is a joke in a ramp class full stop. SP is another gap card that allows the deck to bridge .
These are the devs that saw tar creeper put in aggro druid and put in a 1/6 that grows and assumed it was a ctrl card? I mean come on.
I digress...tired of queing into the same deck 6/10 games and then the other 4 are PW or Murlocpal. Time for wild or break!

This is a bit of an aside, but I think the statement about hunter specifically is not that hard to understand and defend, and thus I sorta want put out that for that specific example I understand them, what they said, what they mean, and honestly I totally get where they are coming from.
They are saying hunter is the best class overall when you consider all players. That seems bizarre to us of course, but you need to keep in mind that the vast vast majority of players of hearthstone don't post on forums like these, they don't climb the ranks in ladder, and they certainly don't, for the most part, contribute to the statistics gathering of meta analysis sites. They play lightly, they play poorly, and they stay at very poor ranks. For them, hunter was really really really good, because their decks suck and eventually the very slight pressure they put on each other with hunters early game and hero power is enough to topple over their incredibly crappy decks. Saying hunter is the best class in the game when taking into account all players makes total sense if you just think about the silent majority at the bottom for a moment.
Furthermore, those people do matter. A lot in fact. Their enjoyment of the game is basically just as important as our enjoyment of the game. And that's sorta the rub, it's sorta more okay for a deck to be really bad then it is for a deck to be really good. And when there's a vast split between different segments of the player base, they have to make a choice between making the deck is to be bad in one part of the player base and okay in another, or okay in one part and op in another. And I think it's totally understandable why they go for the first option.
I will agree with you when they talk about unicorn decks (congrats you have the stats that some random deck won 15 out of the 20 games it was ever played total and there was zero expectation that it would be that deck from it's opponents) or bad cards having potential (whoh, playing meat wagon in buff decks or with doomsayers or eggs? No one's ever thought of that. Clearly it's going to be super op but it's just such a revolutionary idea that no one has thought to try.)

The problem with this game is every expansion we get 135+ new cards and only maybe 20 of those are viable at all, maybe less. Those cards just get added to already powerful decks to make them even stronger and then that's all people end up playing. They really need to learn to make all the cards viable or at least 60% of them so that maybe there will be a bit more variety. Earlier today I played about 10 games, yeah I don't have much time to play, and probably 7 of those games were against a druid deck of some kind. If Blizzard would learn to make all cards for every class viable, maybe we wouldn't have this problem.

You're in for a surprise, mate.
This ^ in Wild it's exactly the same 6/10 games are Jade Druid or Egg/Aggro Druid then the others are Renolock or Secret Pally. Can't tell which meta is worse tbh they're both in a pretty bad spot.
Oh I totally understand it conceptually and from a broader company perspective, I just disagree with these types of public statements because as you indicate "we" are the the ones most likely to pay attention to them and then in turn complain more as a self fulfilling feedback loop of sorts.
Fully recognize the value and necessity of the player base as a whole; would just rather not be patronized I suppose.

Haha, I've climbed wild before and currently rank 10 so I know roughly what to expect and still enjoy it more than std for the moment. I know those feels though....

It was peaceful at rank 15 and know it's full of Jade Druid. :( FUCK YOU DRUIDS!
2 weeks in this expansion and this thread is 26 pages long. With this rate the thread will become even bigger than the QR nerf page and the Jade Idol one.
But this wasn't a mock, just a neutral statement. And I have a little question to you - Do you think, that Blizz will make changes to the dudu class in the near future? Because, if you ask me, the discussed changes will be implemented either post rotation or in the best case in November. Or does anyone think, that Jade dudu will get the Warsong treatment (not the demolishing NERF one, but the fast act of reaction one)?

I've been playing this deck Rank 7 on ladder and it destroys Jade Druid, especially with the Skulking Geist tech option. Check it out : )

Jade druid is fine... ( I don't have that deck by my self, cuz don't have DK druid & Ultimate infastatio )
I beat like 80% of time Jade druid with my Miracle Rogue , and like 50% with Handlock
5 loses in a row at rank 3 5 stars, nice fucking luck

Agreed 100%. I've been running my Aggro paladin and just destroying druids, big priests, mages, etc. shot from (wild) 20 to 13 undefeated
