i cant read any more comments about how hearthstone its only RNG and takes no skill, yes it takes skill and a whole lot of it..... knowing what deck to play and when to play it its pure skill by itself. real good players dont netdeck they make their own decks..... not archtypes you cant create new ones from thin air but the card choices is theirs not a netdeck.
the meta is just fine ive seen way worse meta like 90% of the players play face hunter or face warrior or quest rogue..... the annoying part is not that the decks are oppresive or its difficult to climb or w/e, the annoying and tiring thing is that 80-90% JUST COPY ONE OF THE TOP 2-3 DECKS AND YOU PLAY ONLY AGAINST THOSE FOR HOURS/DAYS/MONTHS.
threads now start to popping about how bad hunter is now.... lol what? im rank 3 with hunter. maybe learn to play or build decks? you study the meta to counter it or build your deck accordingly you have no chance especially if youre a bad player when you just copy the 1st netdeck deck out there..... you could get rank 5 at most only because the deck will carry you
Elemental mage is deff my favorite for standard. You can control during early game, draw out your cards and eventually make sick comebacks in the late game with frost lich jaina and other tools.
What kind of list do you run? I keep playing with mine but I can't seem to win more then 2-3 games in a row without subsequently losing 2-3 in a row. It does really well against priest and control paladin but warlock shits all over it as does N'Zoth Warrior. Been thinking about Running an aggro druid deck or something just to get out of the lower ranks so teching actually means something
Really enjoying playing right now. I still hate Evolve and Jade Idol but at least we got a way to destroy them. Every class got something. I hope that every expansion is going to bring so much freshness as this one.
Right now it's not bad and I'm also enjoying it. Every hero I go up against have all played different variants. Aggro doesnt bother me because it's to be expected but what ticks me off the most I suppose are the super greedy decks..that I usually always lose too. I know I can't beat a jade druid or greedy priest with my DK Jaina but I still try. Eh, the annoying emote aggro players annoys me alittle lol. You win some and you lose some. The meta is fun right now tbh. Can we get more dragons blizzard? :D
I'm fairly unhappy with the current state of the meta as I was already on the verge of quitting over the inane Jade Druid matchup as a control player but I'm hopeful that the meta will either stabilize into something better or else blizz will step in and fix the issue with their newfound expediency. Either way, I'm taking a break until that happens just like I did for UT, Patron & Secret Pally. Sad that I decided to pay for packs this expansion, probably won't ever again.

I'll be honest, I do wish there was more aggro, since the endless value matchups in control v. control get fatiguing after some time. Long games are great, but I also like games where I fight to stabilize against aggro within 6-7 turns. Still, there wasn't even this much deck variety just after WotOG launch so I'm happy.
Death knights are awesome, the Lich King is awesome, KFT is overall pretty awesome. If anything the only things I hate about the meta are relics from Mean Streets.

All druid decks atm, murloc paladin, murloc and evolve/bloodlust shaman, midrange hunter, pirate warrior, dragon priest etc etc. Yeah, most might not be top tier in the new meta, but Im astonished that Blizzard still reward lazy people who play decks that havent got an ounce of thought process required. Theres a reason several of these decks are piloted by bots, which I have already met my fair share of this reset, (I report every single one). As long as people can rank with autopilot decks, this game will never be great sadly. A handful of the older cards, (and a couple of the new ones), should get the nerf hammer. Blizzard just refuse to listen to the legitimate concerns of pros and casual players alike.

I do agree that the DK´s are a great addition, but sadly they already broke the priest one. Many decks have zero chance against that hero power if they get a fast Raza.

Most decks are a 1 trick pony because it's hard to fit 2 tricks in 30 cards and still be consistent and competitive. I'm working on a Dragon/Elemental mage deck and it is REALLY hard balancing the 2 and having enough utility to be flexible.
The only issue I'm having right now is everyone complaining about jade druid. It's like people haven't been paying attention since Gadgetzan. It starts strong because people get super greedy at first (Especially now with all of the slow DK decks). It's gonna lose power and fall off but instead of just playing their game people just want the deck nerfed because their way is somehow superior and more worthy of play.
And be for someone says "omg noob jade druid player doesn't want his deck nerfed" I'm playing Elemental Mage and Hadronox Druid which both would get roflstomped by any jade druid deck.
Jade druid is now a lot stronger due to taunts received now. If before jade druid was not a big issue because every aggro deck was able to rape him now is not true due to new taunts and 1 mana armor spell (received in un'goro).
If only there was a card the destroyed 1 cost spells...OH WAIT! There is!!! I play Taunt Druid (along with elemental mage) and Aggro classes have no issue getting through those at all, so really it seems to me people just don't want to tech against a deck that they apparently face and lose to enough to cause so much salt and they'd rather the deck just not exist.

Playing tons of Rogue, having fun even when I am a very bad Rogue Player! But I am doing my best to learn and I may even go and craft that Van Cleef I am missing.
There are some fun new things to try out, although the druid dominance is starting to get obnoxious. If something doesn't change, I really hope they make the card changes before it gets too frustrating.

Yes it's a very bad meta. There is nothing worse than going 15-20+ turns against a slow control player. A certain streamer seems to have too much sway. Always crying about aggro and they release all these powerful ResidentSleeper control cards. Honestly the best solution is to play a certain midrange paladin deck. It craps all over control, especially jade druids. Control will die off once people catch on.
SUPER tired of that fucking taunt druid, I had not a single deck that can beat that shit, it recovers from everything I throw at it. This game can be broken so easily it's tiresome to play this.

Every game used to be dead by turn 5. Now it's 15-20 minutes a game.
